  1. Many years ago, I was calling around to try to find a therapist. I spoke to one and told her I did not want someone who would tell me what to do. Based on that, she concluded she couldn't work with me. Always felt I dodged a bullet there. I didn't particularly enjoy this episode. It's been mentioned upthread a couple of times, but it doesn't make much sense that Kate is still morbidly obese in the scenarios where Jack lives. We were previously led to believe that Jack's death is what led to her enormous weight gain, although this season it's seemed more like Marc's abuse is where that trajectory starts. If Jack had lived, it's unlikely she would have met Marc. I don't know much about clinical trials, but my understanding is that one cannot simply just decide to participate in a clinical trial. Not to mention, she may not get the experimental drug. Since Rebecca is at the cabin in August, she clearly doesn't end up spending 9 months in St. Louis. Either way, adult Randall has a history of manipulating others to get what he wants, but this instance is really beyond the pale.
  2. Not sure about the squats, but he's pretty busy as a judge on American Idol.
  3. Sarah Palin is an attention whore. Of course she did this show. 🤮
  4. Paul is trans, so it made sense for him to say that. Barry Corbin was also coach Whitey on One Tree Hill. Owen's lung cancer is essentially forgettable. My impression of this episode was that it was filmed as a possible series finale in case they didn't get renewed. There were no cliffhangers at the end.
  5. I'm pretty sure the Sun would've been fine without a testimonial from someone she hasn't seen or worked with since she was a resident 10 years ago. That alone made the entire premise ludicrous. I stopped watching after they killed Derek. Then I kept hearing about how the show had this incredible rebirth and was better than ever, so I caught up on a couple of seasons of back episodes and resumed watching. I think I'm done again. Not because this episode was upsetting, but because I just don't care about any of the characters except Linc, and they're screwing things up for him. Put the show out of its misery already. It's a shadow of its former self.
  6. That was driving me crazy! What an odd stance for a business pitch.
  7. That kid has great aim. I, too, was wondering why the hell Grandma didn't just unlock the door. The guys loudly identified themselves as fire & rescue so I'm not sure what possessed a little kid to shoot. As soon as I saw the opening credits I told my husband "Tom Cruise's cousin is in this one." Tom Cruise's actual last name is Mapother. A dog with cancer in a clinical trial needs to have some supervision and structure. Come on.
  8. Over the weekend, the dog bakery in the town I just moved from posted on Facebook about how well some dog food toppers have been selling. I looked at the photo and they're called Basics Flavors Food Toppers. They come in multiple flavors and are sold by Chewy and Amazon, among others. My dog will eat anything we put in front of him, so I'm not interested, but it does indeed look as though someone else has the Shake It Pup "problem" solved already.
  9. I hated Kate's line to Madison at brunch: "I really don't know what to make of all this. And it really couldn't have come at a more terrible time." Making it all about her, as usual! I fail to understand how Madison and Kevin knocking boots affects Kate in any way, much less is the impetus for a mea culpa brunch.
  10. I'd have to go back and find it, but I could have sworn Kevin's line was "We're not speaking, remember?" -- which is rather vague.
  11. I re-watched the episode today and I was struck by Randall saying to the therapist "It's not hard. Turn it off when you're done." It very much made me think of the crockpot and I wondered if that's where Randall's mind went with it.
  12. I really enjoy OG 9-1-1 but I'm struggling a lot with this one. I find Owen very unlikable and the supporting cast isn't given enough good material to overcome that for me. I'm trying to figure out whether it;'s the way Owen is written, or acted, or both. I think it's both. I've liked Rob Lowe in other stuff but Owen almost seems like a caricature. His vanity and arrogance isn't sufficiently offset by good qualities, and I can't even sympathize with his cancer, because it barely seems to be affecting him. Not sure I'll keep sticking with this.
  13. I have a friend who is a mega Bret Michaels fan and she is 100% convinced he is the Banana.
  14. I've never heard of MASH, but then again, I'm 10 years older than the Sad Three.
  15. It's Kevin's house. In the previous flash-forward scene, someone (Toby?) says "Kevin's house is big!" Kevin's son says he went out to get food because he realized they didn't have any. This scene was a continuation of that one, with Kevin arriving home with the food.
  16. We don't know, but there's been no sign of her. In this first flash-forward, Randall (I think) asks Kevin's son where his dad is and he says he went to get food because he realized they didn't have any. In last night's episode, we saw Kevin arrive home alone with the food. There was no sign of a wife/partner in either flash-forward scene.
  17. I don't remember which episode that was, but I remember that the helping hand from Leo DiCaprio at the end of the episode was originally supposed to be JFK Jr.
  18. And next week looks like even more of the same. Instead of just showing scenes from next week's Grey's, it was scenes from both shows. It's like the rest of the season is going to be one prolonged crossover. I'm barely interested in Grey's...stop trying to make Station 19 happen.
  19. She signed a pre-nup that presumably was for a million dollars. She told Bunny "I'm worth a million," and shortly thereafter is shown gleefully telling Miranda and the others that she negotiated and signed the agreement. Now, maybe that was after a certain number of years, who knows. I know nothing of pre-nups.
  20. Remind me...which plots do we care about?
  21. Judd said the father needed to be checked out. Owen took the side of the father and allowed him to skip a medical check so he could tell Owen where to look for the kids. I thought this might come up...but they just glossed right over it.
  22. Probably the same reason that surgeons on ER, Grey's, etc always come out of surgery in immaculate scrubs.
  23. Maggie referencing "my distaste for sharing my emotions" was hilarious.
  24. I forgot to mention, I really want to try a Fresecco. And my Kroger carries Fresca!
  25. I love Cheryl Hines and hope she'll be back for more episodes. Not a fan of what they've done with Jackie. I don't totally get Dan's reluctance to move forward with Louise. I know he and Roseanne were together forever, but there's a general trend for widowers to remarry -- or at least, couple up -- quickly. Of course, not everyone does that, but Dan seems like the type of guy who would have a tough time going it alone after being in a relationship since high school. Who the hell is gonna pull him out of the bathtub next time...Darlene? Frankly, Dan is lucky that a hot chick like Louise is interested. But I'm not surprised he declined, since I also knew KS had landed a new show (or at least, a pilot).
