'Mitch is playing a flute...at least I hope that's what he's doing..' Made LOL a lot.

S02.E11: Rise Of The Villains: Worse Than A Crime
Gulftastic replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Gotham
Bruce's favourite animal is the owl. On Earth 3, Batman's counterpart is 'Owlman'. -
TDS 3.0: Season One Talk

The show is on a break when Trump mimics a person's disability for a cheap laugh. Holy shit, they must be itching to get back to work. -
I've no idea who he is, but I'm already imagining camp fire singing, like Beth in 'The Walking Dead'. Hoo-ray.

S02.E35: Aftermath of Paris Attacks and Penny Manufacturing Costs
Gulftastic replied to Athena's topic in Last Week Tonight
Even the two pence piece is pretty much useless. Any change I get below 20 pence these days go in a big jar to be saved till it's full. Last time I cashed it up, there was £100 in there. -
I'm hopeful that Sheldon wanting to remain 'just friends' is actually him realising he is not right for her and making efforts to understand and change, eventually feeling himself worthy of Amy's love.

That was a strong episode. The writers did a fine job (along with the cast, obviously). I liked Bernie turning the tables on Howard's smug grin, and Leonard's attempt to sound like he wasn't lying.
-
It's working. Although, I'd say 'sexier'....

Why have I taken so long to start watching this show? It's great! Loved the 'stakes' arc. Marceline and Bubblegum are such a cute couple.
-
Cam & Mitchell trying to bluff their way out of it by beginning to sing 'Happy Birthday' got a big laugh from me. It was a good episode overall. Lots of funny. 'Does it look like a long or short visit?' 'She''s pregnant and they brought a stroller'.
-
True. Based on those first couple of seasons, I'm still convinced there is a good show trying to get out. I'm not sure how much longer my faith will last though.

Somewhat astonishingly, the studio audience appear to have got even dumber.

S09.E08: The Mystery Date Observation 2015.11.12
Gulftastic replied to adhoc's topic in The Big Bang Theory [V]
Dave was played by Stephen Merchant, and yes, he is English. He's from what is known as 'the west country', and his accent is from that area. It's not an accent you see often on US TV when they show an English person. Usually, it's either posh or cockney. Or god knows what in Frasier. -

I really enjoyed the episode. Lots of LOL moments for me. I echo the above comments about Mayim Balik. She's tremendous. I really liked the Sheldon/Howrd/Rajesh moments too. Raj swooning over Sheldon's cow eyes, and Raj's sudden change of heart when he heard the knock at the door. -
That was some powerhouse acting. The Nora/Erika scene was compelling TV.

It's certainly what I was shouting at my screen.

Denise and Tara didn't seem at all random to me. Since their first scene the actress have had chemistry. I thought it was fairly obvious that they were being set up as a couple.

I hope so too. When NuPhil arrived in Tuscon, he chided them for picking such a poor location due to it being bad farm land, IIRC.

'Stab him with his boxing knife...' Boxing is very different in South Africa. I think Trevor is really hitting his stride now. I find myself laughing out loud as much as I did when Jon was at the desk. -
Lucky they set up home near a store that sells different sizes of medieval stocks.

A fairly bland episode. There was no real payoff to Claire's plot. The thing I liked the most was Phil's repeated attempts to call the boys to gather round only to find that they'd already done so.

S02.E05: Rise Of The Villains: Scarification

Don't knock all fanboys! Some of us see the show for what it is. A different take on the Batman mythos, and an entertaining one at that. -
S09.E05: The Perspiration Implementation
Gulftastic replied to PinkRibbons's topic in The Big Bang Theory [V]
The clowning around behind Kripke's back was good. I liked Raj's little kicks. And Howard won the 'Inigo Montoya-off' with Darth Vader. I agree with the above comments regarding Stuart. I hope the writers recognise that it needs to change. It may not be immediate, but they do sometimes spot these things, like the 'Amy fancies Penny' stuff, which was thankfully dropped. -
Wolf Carol will be a popular choice for cosplay. She keeps on gaining awesome points. I don't buy Carl being dumb enough to nearly get suckered by that guy whining about the pain in his leg. I think he'd have just put one in his head.
