  1. I think this was probably my favorite of this season's episodes so far. Although the other two episodes may have had a few highlights better than anything in this episode (Spotted Lanternfly, Molly's skit last week), this is the first episode that felt overall pretty good across the board for me. Not "great," but at least I wasn't bored. Sherman and Fineman as Schumer and Pelosi were hilarious. I think I liked Fineman's Pelosi a little better, or maybe just in a different way, than McKinnon's. Hot Girl Hospital and the Texas Moms against Hocus Pocus bit were great, too. I like that they've given most of the new castmembers time in Weekend Update the past three weeks.
  2. I suppose the ladies will get 5 minutes to speak once you subtract commercials, the interview, and VYD on Monday and Friday. Well, I guess they don't list VYD on Friday's show here, but it was on this past Friday despite not being listed upfront, so... 🙄
  3. Yeah, I didn't get what happened in this episode that would've made her interested in having a baby. Seemed like a pretty bad experience all-around. The funniest parts of this episode to me were the cat toy in the crib at the end and Phil yawning at how boring Randi and Carter are.
  4. Jennifer Tilly always seems to be the highlight for me in the episodes she's in of this series.
  5. I loved that almost the first words out of her mouth today were calling Trump a loser, too. 🤣 No way that wasn't intentional.
  6. What killed me is Teta trying to silence her by telling her not to call Dr. Oz a loser. If that's her opinion, she has a right to it. Maybe he should work somewhere else.
  7. I enjoyed her interview with Justin Baldoni, last week I think it was? I'm glad she's having him back again. And her interview with Niecy Nash-Betts and her "hersband" was great.
  8. I was happy at first with Goodwin finally getting to run things and Bob getting to relax, but I didn't like the way Goodwin treated Dottie... This is her company. No matter how old or annoying she may be, she doesn't deserve to be pushed out that way. I loved the ending when she clearly saw through him.
  9. As soon as the episode opened with Christina as the focus, I knew they would have her fired somehow to get her back at MaxDot, since her mother needs an ally right now with Bob out of the picture. I hate this direction, I was really happy Christina finally got away from her mother and was succeeding.
  10. Lupe was the only good thing about this episode for me.
  11. I loved seeing Pia Toscano on the show the day before last, I haven't really seen her booked anywhere else on TV even though she has an album out this week, but maybe she'll show up more places next week. How weird though that you could see Sherri standing off to the side several times as she was singing. A little awkward. I'm glad Loni Love was on the same episode since I recorded the episode, Loni's always great.
  12. I missed the first episode, hopefully they'll rerun it eventually when the show's off for a week or something. I appreciate this show is more of a dramedy. I went into it thinking it would be ultra serious like The Equalizer (which I do enjoy), but was happy it's more lighthearted. Niecy Nash is killing it. I didn't know anything about the rest of the cast, so was pleasantly surprised to see Kevin Zegers! Loved him in TransAmerica back when. I'm glad he's here so I have two actors to keep my attention at least.
  13. I enjoy Brendan Gleeson, but this was a sort of middling episode just like the premiere. Not because of Gleeson at all, imo, although he got through the monologue by the skin of his teeth. A lot of hosts aren't good at the monologue though. For me, the highlight was the new castmember, Molly. She was hilarious.
  14. I agree, Whoopi and Joy are real friends, they've always had each other's backs. It's sweet.
  15. Yes, she seemed very shocked! Normally, I don't really enjoy the birthday celebration episodes, but this one was surprisingly good. Thankfully they gave Joy all the airtime to talk about her trip to Spain, and her and Lithgow were very genuine together. Lithgow's story was hilarious, I'm surprised they didn't bleep him at one point! The sale at the end made me laugh for a lot of reasons, too. Well, I knew immediately Joy would have difficulty getting through everything on time, but it didn't help that Sunny was there derailing everything with "I told you so"'s about the Martha Stewart stuff. But what killed me was the audience actually going up to a $400 for that mug, and I think they only stopped because the show needed to get to another commercial break. I would've wanted the mug myself since it's a little piece of the show's history and everything--I've always thought the little mugs with the co-hosts' drawings were a cute idea, I don't know why they don't still do that--but, jeez... Who would pay that much for a mug? You could probably find one on eBay for cheaper than that. Even Joy was dumbfounded. She made some joke about how rich the audience must be.
  16. So glad Blake is leaving!!! It's beyond time. I hope they pick Carrie Underwood for the country seat after he's left, she's one of those artists with broad appeal even with non-country viewers. I have a feeling she'd take it. Also happy that John Legend won't be on the next season, I'm a little tired of him. Chance the Rapper is a sweetheart, I'm glad he'll be there at the same time as Kelly. Too bad Ariana didn't return though, but Niall should be alright. Next season sounds way better than the current one.
  17. Jedidiah did last more than one season; she started four or five months before the new season in 2016, joined officially the next season, and even signed for the next season after that only to be fired out of nowhere a month into it to make room for McCain. I always thought Alyssa would be the one picked because she's the most similar to Jedidiah. Candace also stayed halfway into her second season. Paula was only out because of Whoopi, and Abby only left because of McCain. McCain was out once her family connection at ABC retired. Nicolle's the only one I know of that was fired because the show for whatever reason didn't think she worked; probably just to completely re-start and leave the bad blood from her season behind is the more likely reason. Alyssa's already guaranteed to be on through to 2025, I believe? At least most articles around the time she was hired said this current panel will be locked through the next presidential election. I imagine the reason Alyssa avoids confrontation is she knows Sunny will simply bring up where she worked to implode most of her talking points, so Alyssa knows she isn't likely to "win" any direct back-and-forths the usual way and is more covert in the way she slides them in there.
  18. I assume she has to be there tomorrow for them to celebrate her birthday at least. Her being off makes me realize how little I care about the rest of them these days. I mean, I don't like Whoopi or Alyssa at all--for wildly different reasons. But even the other three have been getting on my nerves at different times, it seems like there's never any topic where there isn't at least one of the three bugging the hell out of me. They aren't enough for me to endure Whoopi and Alyssa, sorry.
  19. I liked this one more than the premiere. I enjoyed Kat getting some good cracks in at Sheila ("I never said you were a bad driver!"). Best moment was Phil's line about gucci as they were tugging on the purse.
  20. I thought both Huma Abedin and Sunny looked very pretty today. Good to hear Both/And is being turned into a series!
  21. Oh, yes, I forgot it was Joy's birthday. I put the show on in the background this week since she's off, but it's good to know the reason why she's not there. I hope she'll enjoy her birthday!
  22. The best parts of this episode for me were JAJ's McConnell and Armie Hammer, Bowen Yang as the Spotted Lanternfly, and Kenan's Neil deGrasse Tyson. I did wonder where Cecily Strong was, good to know she'll be back to the show eventually! I thought the same thing! I couldn't help thinking they looked similar in the face, especially when he was smiling.
  23. When it would matter most isn't a Shark Tank interview, imo... Leaving that aside, it was a fluff advertisement for an ABC show, the ladies know to be all positivity in those interviews.
  24. Interesting Tamron Hall is on this week because Sunny appeared on her show a week and a half ago. Sunny's comments there were very good. It was 9/22's show for those interested in seeing it; Sunny was there as part of a larger discussion. Looking forward to Abedin and Najimy!
  25. If O'Donnell wasn't on last year during the anniversary year, she's never going to be while Whoopi is there. Same with Perez. It was a fun show today, but I already knew to expect that between it being Friday, and Jones and Cantone on the guest list. Cantone is very, very, VERY OTT, but I don't know, I enjoy the other ladies' reactions to him. I know that's a Party of One opinion, most likely, heh. Lizzo being attacked over that is ridiculous, that's the first I'd even heard about it. I thought she sounded pretty good on the flute from the clip they played?
