  1. Could not remember who Ginger was, that's how much attention I've been paying to this show. Although, I was certainly focused during the Jason/ Eric scene. Very hot. More, please! Interesting. I hadn't really noticed (see above re: not paying attention), but that's a fascinating thought. If she is a human carrier, is it possible she becomes a key to the cure? (I assume they're going to cure it, but I guess they could just have all the vamps die off).
  2. I know this particular spoiler isn't earth shattering plot wise, but please remember the spoiler tag! I avoid spoilers intentionally, and hate to stumble across them. Oliver and Hope were involved?
  3. As a new viewer, I was totally surprised by the recent turns from Maya! I didn't know she and Rick had been an item, and I hadn't seen any evidence of her still pining over him. Until, all of a sudden, she can't stop ogling him at the meeting, and then BOOM, in to the sauna with him. Way to ease in to that and make me believe it, show. That, combined with the Oliver stuff, is making me thing she's about to go totally crazy, whereas before she seemed like a relatively reasonable person. I don't get why Wyatt would even want Hope at this point. She tried him out, and decided she didn't want him. Not only that, she chose someone else over him! I guess it's a pretty common soap trope, but it makes no sense to me why he would want to be someone who has been pretty clear that he's not her number 1. "Hey, I know you like Liam more than me, and you totally tossed me aside, but take me back! I'm fine with being someone you settle for!" Just don't get it. Especially since, honestly, I don't see what's so great about Hope.
  4. Thanks, Rancide - I always forget about the block taping, in part because I don't really understand it. Is it that they tape big chunks of one story line at once, and so only those actors are around? And then we see those scenes spread out over several days? I get that it's less expensive, but surely there's a way to have one or two all-cast days of taping every month or so, just so we can get integration. I get really tired of so many two- or three-character scenes, and the total lack of integration among characters/ stories. I don't mind Morgan scraping paint before cleaning the cobwebs - I guess this show has lowered my expectations when it comes to how things work in the real world to such a point that this is not bothersome at all. I mean - look what they do to medical and legal situations! I really don't want to see Kiki and Morgan living together, though. Even though Morgan seems over Kiki/ Michael, living with your ex-wife while she's dating your brother and you're worried that her mother is pregnant with either your or your father's baby is just a little much.
  5. Paola and Caleb are chatting, and it seems like something happened that had him in tears? People thinking he's mean or something? Oh, those of us with the internet know who and what the "Real Caleb" is ... Pretty sure Paola isn't going to be on his side as this goes on. But I'm curious about what I missed - did anyone catch the source of this? All I'm seeing is the aftermath, with Caleb saying someone came up to his room at 3:30 am, blah blah blah. Which brings up the question - how long have they been in the house?? Clearly, Caleb et al didn't just get there today.
  6. Ananyel, good point- Julie didn't specify that the HOH noms have to be cross-team. I guess I was just thinking that they would have to be. This season seems to have a "team" theme, including Team America (ugh), and so I assumed that there would be some incentive for the houseguests to keep their teams strong. Plus, if the HOHs nominate people on their own team, the strategizing and competition-throwing becomes a huge mess. A bigger mess than usual, that is! Although, knowing this show, trying to apply logic is a big mistake on my part. I'm confused about it all. But I'm curious to see how it plays out. Although, I'm hedging my bets and going with cautiously optimistic.
  7. Bringonthedrama, I think you just broke my brain.
  8. So, if I understand it (and I may not) - each of the two HOHs nominate 2 from the other team. Then they have Battle of the Block. The nominees from the losing team stay on the block, but everyone else, including the HOH from the losing team, are possible replacement nominees if the veto is used? Is that right? Otherwise, it makes no sense - surely the HOHs aren't putting people from their own team on the block. It must be cross-team nominations, with the HOH of the team that wins BotB having immunity. Otherwise, no one is going to ever want to be HOH, and everybody will throw every single competition (except maybe Have/ Have-nots). Overall, I like the first 8 better than the second 8, although Christine has potential, and I'm willing to give Derrick a chance. Paola, Zach, Caleb, and Hayden can go anytime, preferable sooner than later.
  9. Thank you. Agreed. Donny seems like a smart, hardworking guy, just a little country. He does not seem like a raging racist/ homophobe, and it's not fair to lump him in with Duck Dynasty bigots just because he's southern and has a beard. Maybe instead we should tag Caleb with a Duck Dynasty moniker? This new format is confusing, and, more importantly, I think it's going to make the really fun strategizing basically impossible. Maybe I'm wrong - I hope I am. But with this many variables, it's going to be next to impossible for people to pull off any big moves. I think all these unknowns is just going to lead to people following the majority and not taking any risks. And it's the risks that I think make the game fun! Willing to be wrong, though.
  10. Please, please tell me that they are not telegraphing Sonny & Carly getting back together. Surely that well is dry, that story completely wrung out. Right? RIGHT???? I hope it really is just to get Franco upset enough to rat out Sonny, rather than Sonny & Carly actually even considering another go of it. Nathan and Anna need to hook up. She seems to enjoy him shirtless (understandable). Surprisingly, I find myself enjoying the Franco/ Dr. O show. Well played by both actors, I thought. Trust me, no one is more shocked than I am by this revelation. I said I don't mind the kids, and even kind of like them sometimes. You know what changes that? Having Sonny and Carly there with them. Now I hate the kids. Finally, I think there's some sort of code or message in Ric's letter to Molly, and she's going to figure it out and know that he's alive. This is based on nothing, really, other than me wanting it to be true.
  11. I kind of like them, although I wish they weren't doing the love stuff so heavy handedly. But kids that age do have crushes and "girlfriends" and can be pretty over the top with it. Caveat: I like them in small doses. I do not like when they are on every day. But I like having the kids involved because it can have adults overlap that we don't normally see - like Patrick/ Nik.
  12. "A blueprint for triumph" might be the funniest thing I've ever heard on this show. That whole power point was disturbingly hilarious. I cannot wait until Michael finds out about Sonny killing AJ. I think they're trying to build it up so that he will go absolutely ballistic, and I'm looking forward to see if they actually follow through. My fear: The guilt/ stress is going to push Sonny over the edge, he'll have a breakdown, and he will somehow end up being the sympathetic character in all this. I cannot abide that. Joss is kind of cracking me up. And I continue to like bratty little Spencer. Especially with his "I'm on the list, in bold." I know he's terribly obnoxious, but it rings kind of true for me - kids can be real jerks. Although I hate him reaching out to Sonny, because I hate Sonny. Overall, I don't mind the kids too much, but I do prefer to see them once every couple of weeks instead of the every day appearances we had a while ago.
  13. This whole Sonny/ Ava thing just gets creepier and creepier. Sonny's abusive and controlling personality is really shining through. That's going to make it so much worse when he and Ava eventually fall in love. (gag) Also, Sonny? Ava isn't holding the baby hostage. You are. The baby and its mother. Literally. Hold the phone- is Sam about to be the center of a Silas/ Patrick/ NotDeadJason pinwheel?? I find myself a little intrigued by the idea. There's a lot they could do with that, I think. Maybe she and Patrick are just going to be friends, but they were both giving off some more-than-friends vibes in the park today. I totally forgot that Patrick knows Jason is alive, but has to pretend that Jason is dead when talking to Sam! Or, more accurately, I don't think I ever even made the connection. I blame the show, even though I'm not sure how it's their fault. To me, wanting to have *a* drink while pregnant is not at all the same thing as "trying to hurt the baby." So STFU, Sonny. Stop being so melodramatic. Having broken glass flying all over the place seems more like trying to hurt the baby, but maybe that's just me. Viva Julian's Briefs! I think Maxie just knee-jerked defended Levi, in large part because she doesn't want to believe it could be him. I bet she's singing a different tune after Mac talks to her. I hope, anyway.
  14. Shoot, it's like they never heard of Google! It's really so disappointing. You'd think that after last year, they would have looked in to the contestants a little more. Maybe, at least, oh, I don't know - checked their social media accounts?? Although I tend to be cynical, and I think it is entirely possible that CBS/ Grodner like all the attention and press that having a true piece of shit as a contestant gets them.
  15. There were three people who knew: Maxie, Nathan, and Levi. The first two wouldn't jeopardize the case, so that leaves Levi. It hardly took Sherlock-level sleuthing to figure it out. That said, it's nice Ron let a cop solve something in a timely fashion. Well, Maxie hasn't figured it out yet, so Nathan should get some credit. Although, I think Diane knew it was a lie too, so that's four people, although Diane would not have told, so the math stands - it had to be Levi. I still cannot stand Nina, or the actress. Every second of her is like nails on a chalkboard to me. That's not just the actress, though -the story sucks wind so hard that I doubt anyone could make it palatable for me. But, obviously, mileage varies, because... I'm not minding Franco these days. But remember, I actively block out the fact that he is "Franco" and instead convince myself that he is a guy that just come to Port Charles recently, with no history of murder or rape (it was the tumor!) or any of that. In my mind, he shares a name with a really awful human, but the awful one is dead and this guy is someone new. Cognitive dissonance - it has its good points.
  16. I forgot about how much this confused me! If the guy couldn't come inside, why did Jessica have to have the stand-off with him? I guess Jessica was trying to prove something to Adilyn/ Andy, but if Adilyn would just really stay in the house, there really wasn't any danger, right? So why in the world was Jessica willing to stand there until dawn, and to die? The H-vamp died at dawn anyway! It really made no sense. I watched season 6 over the weekend to catch up, because apparently I had barely paid attention last season and so could not remember what happened. In between episodes, they talked about the final season, and several actors commented that this season, the show was going to get back to the characters that made the show what it is, less "big story" and more character stuff. And then Tara dies offscreen in episode 1? Does not compute.
  17. Fairy! Magic! It is still fatal, it just seems to be taking longer to kill them. Maybe feeding helps them stay alive a little longer? Maybe the virus loses a little potency over time? I have never liked Bill. He is just such a tool. And his whole relationship with Sookie gets on my nerves - really really do not want to see them get back together. I would like to see a lot more naked Eric, however.
  18. ottoDbusdriver - Thanks for that, I had forgotten. But I'm still confused about why the E-rep was able to take control. The town was independently controlled/ governed, right? That was my impression. So I just don't understand why the E-rep was able to stroll in and put their own provisional governor in place. Regardless of Datek's deal, I would expect the town to have had a new election or something to put a new mayor in place. I guess the E-rep just took over by force during the 9 months between seasons? Or maybe I don't have a good grasp on the hierarchy of government in Defiance to begin with (totally possible). Perhaps that's another area where there is more story to tell than what we've seen so far. Or maybe I'm just being dense. :-)
  19. I don't mind a lack of realism in my soaps, not at all. I'll get on board a 'back from the dead' story with the best of them, and I'm willing to hand wave a certain amount of police and lawyer stuff. IF it's done well. And that's why I get so mad at this show. So much of it is just really poorly done. Sometimes it's like the writers are more focused on the end game of the story rather than actually *telling* the story, letting it play out. Character development, evolution of relationships - this is the stuff that makes the unrealistic silly crap worth watching. And GH is missing so much of that. Almost everything seems to happen just to propel certain plots forward, rather than letting the plots unfold "naturally" within the lives of the characters. And so we have really inconsistent behaviors from characters and weird leaps in logic. It's annoying and makes the show so much less fun to watch. Also, because I haven't said it lately, I miss Julian's Briefs.
  20. I thought she was looking at his phone after he left, and saw something that made her decide to kill him. But now I realize that it was probably her phone, and she was texting the cop. So, no idea! Although, there is that... :-) I saw it more as the ability of a socio- or psychopath to read people very well, rather than Vee really being self aware; she figured that Red would respond to that sort of comment and go along with the "truce." And she was right. Charming sociopath for sure. I don't really understand the Daya/ Bennett situation. Or, I guess, I don't have any idea what they're going to do. Daya is a ward of the state, as is her mom. Unless she has some other relative on the outside that can take the baby, it'll go in to the system, right? Unless some kin of Mendez shows up to claim it? I just don't know what they think the plan is here. As mentioned above, Bennett going to jail for a few years is not really a great option, and there's no guarantee either he or Daya will be able to get custody when they're free. It's all confusing, and I cannot figure out what the plan is here, either Daya/Bennett's plan, or the show's plan. Agree with all about Pennsatucky & Boo. I hate Boo, but that conversation was hilarious.
  21. I liked this premiere. And I agree that what happened after Irisa jumped is probably going to be revealed over the course of the season, and I'm interested to see it unfold. I think that Nolan and Irisa's relationship is a very different father/ daughter relationship than most of us are used to seeing, but I've never gotten any sense of anything other than familial love and loyalty from them. Because of the way the met, both of their histories, and the way they've lived since meeting, they interact in a way that at times seems more to me like teammates or brothers in arms. But then she can sometimes act out her immaturity, and he is very protective of her, and they both love and depend on each other. Seems like family to me! Stahma moving toward Alak as he was considering getting in the bath, though.. that seemed a little creepy! I get that bathing together is a Casti thing, so that's not the issue, but she had just been pleasuring herself, and it seemed like she was sexily slithering up to him and talking in a seductive voice. It was a little weird. And don't even get me started on Datek's handjob weirdness. I have always found Amanda to be the most boring part of this show, and this episode did nothing to change that. Not sure why, though - I just don't like her. I'm really curious about how the E-Rep and provisional governor came in to power. Sure, Datek killed whatshisface, but there had to be some interesting aftermath. And I don't understand why the town didn't just have another mayoral election; why does E-Rep get to be in charge? It was a little confusing.
  22. You forgot the third option - batshit crazy. Actually, I guess that could be an "and" situation instead of an "or" situation. Please, god, don't let it be Levi.
  23. For a second, I thought Diamond was Joe Scully. It was confusing. I am usually not one to fast forward- I tend to sit through every tortuous moment of this show. But today with the Silas and Nina crap, I just could not endure. That actress is all kinds of terrible, the story is terrible, the writing is terrible..it's insufferable. They definitely over-telegraph stories, like with the whole stupid Nina situation, but my bigger problem is that there are so few original stories. Sure, who's the daddy and murder story lines are soap staples, and I'm fine with that, but they should be able to come up with *some* new twists or angles. Instead, we just get stories rehashed from other soaps or, even worse, rehashed from GH six months ago. It's tiresome.
  24. What part of these Silas/ Nina conversations am I supposed to find interesting? The story is dumb, and both actors are so annoying that I cannot get invested in the story at all. And show? We get it - Jason is coming back, and it's going to throw another wrench in the Silas/ Sam relationship. Again, I wish I cared. Silas is a black hole that sucks all of the interesting out of any potentially fun storyline. I really hoped Tracy was serious about being done with Luke. That's another story I just don't care about. So much on this show is just terribly boring.
  25. Why was Silas half-smiling during that discussion with Sam? "My mom does not make the best decisions." Truer words, Michael, truer words. Baby Rocco is no Baby Danny. And of course Levi ratted Nathan out. My fear is that Levi somehow has the notice, and it isn't all garbage-y, and that will be "proof" to the judge that Nathan lied. My hope, however, is that the judge believes Nathan, and Maxie drops Levi. In to a deep, dark hole.
