  1. I was sooo glad Donny won that POV! At the end, as Donny was winning, Zach was sitting on the opposite end of his row (for lack of a better word), and had clearly stopped trying in the competition. Made me think that he gave up as soon as Donny was in the lead, which is very interesting for possibilities going forward. Although, I guess it's possible he jumped up there right before the camera cut to him, but it seemed a bit odd to me that Zach was ahead until 2 ducks, and then never did any more. Just a thought. When they first announced the HOH comp, I thought that it was designed to give Donny an advantage - that seems like the kind of challenge they would expect him to be good at. Hated to see him go out first round, but it might be better for his game to not have been HOH this week (but only b/c he won POV). Now he's eligible for HOH next week, and will have time to work out a plan if he gets it. But really, Caleb won a "math" challenge?? W. T. F.
  2. For the same reason Julian didn't just shoot Luke, I guess. Which is to say - no idea.
  3. So true. That's the one consistent trait that Sonny has always had - everything is always about him. Hell, that's the one consistent trait that ANY character on this show has had. I am shocked, SHOCKED!, that any regular watcher of this show would think that... That would be amazing. Some of the ladies could even make the full rounds - from Morgan to Michael, back to Morgan, then to Dante, back to Morgan, then to Sonny. Just think of all the Morgan rage, as he forgave each person, only to be beeeetraaayed all over again! Thank you! Why has this not been discussed on the show? It's not like they had cancer and were frozen while still alive to wait for a cure. Freezing a dead body is not cryogenics - it is .. well, it's just freezing a dead body. I'm still not hating Patrick. I know I'm probably putting more thought in to this than the writers have, but I think of it like this - his wife died a sudden and gruesome death. He struggled with losing her, and with comforting his young daughter. He "fell in love" with a new woman, was going to marry her, and dead wife suddenly reappeared. New girl is pregnant. Now not-dead wife decides to leave him and his traumatized young daughter again (because as far as he knows, she did decide). New girl's baby dies. While husband and daughter are struggling with yet another untimely death, wife can't be bothered (from his perspective) to even show up for funeral. He suddenly runs in to wife just an hour away, and she refuses to tell him what is going on or why she won't come home. Admittedly, he could be more perceptive about what is really going on, but that's a whole lot of stress and emotional trauma to go through, and I'm willing to accept that it could make a person a little blind and more than a little angry. Not saying Robin is wrong in all of this, as it's overall a crappy situation, but I am saying that I don't think Patrick is 100% wrong either.
  4. Don't even put that out there in the universe. I just don't understand why Robin doesn't just say "I am being held captive, again, and he's going to kill all of you if I don't do what he says. Please get out of here and go home and let me do this so we can all live." I mean, she isn't supposed to say anything, but Victor isn't going to kill her just for saying that, I don't think, when she is still doing the work. In fact, I never understood why Robin didn't tell her family that she had to go under threat of death. It was my biggest problem with this whole story from the beginning - it was not logical to me that Robin wouldn't tell Anna and Robert the full details.
  5. I like Spencer, and I'm mostly enjoying the kids' scenes. I always liked Jason. Can't explain either of these things; don't understand them myself.
  6. At first, I didn't care about the dual HoH twist, but I guess that's only because I didn't really think about what it meant for the game. Now I realize that the dual HoH meant that no one would take the chance of nominating strong players. (Yes, I am a bit slow and dense and non-strategical.) And so here we are. And I do not like it one bit. Makes me wonder, though - do the people that design this game not understand the game at all? I mean, it's one thing for me to not immediately realize the ramifications of the dual HoH, but shouldn't the folks in charge of the whole shebang have realized what it would mean? Like, shouldn't whoever comes up with "this year's crazy twist" have the ability to foresee how it would work out? Or am I just a crazy person living in a world of rainbows and unicorns, expecting the unrealistic?
  7. Thank you for this. Those costumes aren't awesome, but they're not terrible. But I do think it must be very awkward for Victoria, considering her background, and I'm guessing that's why she has her hair covering her front. I imagine she is very uncomfortable, and I find myself appreciating her willingness to go along with it despite her discomfort. Caleb American History X-gate has confused the hell out of me.
  8. Preach. I must be running a fever, because I found myself almost entertained during the Franco/ Spencer scenes.
  9. I think that was about Caleb being a Dumbo (tm Donny). Actually, Cody probably expected a huge fight or something between Amber and Caleb, but I'm guessing Amber really just did not care enough to even engage with Caleb on that level, and so instead we got her relatively calm reaction and walking out of the room. I loved when Caleb tried to talk to her again, and started with "Can we talk? And you won't walk away again?". Yeah, Caleb, you begging her to talk to you really shows that you're putting her right in her place... But I cringed so hard when the two of them were talking and he said something like "I want to apologize, with you looking me in the eye" - he said it like it was an order, and it was creeeee-py.
  10. She better not be coming back. She really really better not be. So Spencer doesn't know that Carly stole him for a while when he was a baby? I guess I'm okay with Nik not telling him, since he's so young, but if Joss knows about Sonny shooting Dante ("But it's okay, because he didn't know he was his son" - loved that, because I saw it as a little snark on the show, by the show), I kind of figured that these kids know everything that's gone on with their families. I was okay with this Spencer Lost story at first, with him just skipping out of camp and hiding for the day, because it seemed mostly harmless, and it seemed like something both Spencer and Britt would totally do. But now I hate it. I don't want Britt to have to once again tell Nik she lied and schemed to get in to his heart, and have him once again reject her, blah blah blah. I find myself liking Britt, and liking Britt and Nik together, so I really wish she had "found" Spencer after an hour or two, and Nik had been grateful, and they could start over. Hell, I even like Spencer (in the minority, I know!), but this is too much even for me. I guess they have to, if they also have a bunch of credit cards and a cell phone and the ability (and know-how) to get a burner cell phone on the fly... My worst fear? That they're going to search for, and find, some of Mickey's family to get their permission for the donation, and we end up with a bunch of new characters we don't care about (cough, Nina, cough). Wait, no - even worse than that would be discovering that someone already on the canvas is Mickey's next of kin. This post has gotten long, and I'm sorry, but ... I know that Anthony Geary supposedly had back surgery and is having a worse recovery than expected, but I don't think I believe it. One, the way he was looking before he went out - he looked sick, not just like he was in pain. And today, especially with the change in voice but also with the heavily applied makeup, he didn't seem like someone just recovering from back surgery. I can't help but think that he has a serious illness; I hope not, because I'd hate to hear that about anyone, but it's what I've been thinking for a few months now.
  11. You speak the truth. I have no problem with Donny refusing the TA task. It could have been a real risk for him, and he's trying to play a long game, eye on the big prize. And, I think he really likes the game and wants to play according to his strategy. Getting a "physical threat" like Amber (still can't stop laughing) nominated or encouraging Zach to pick a fight doesn't directly affect Donny's game. Requiring Donny to act out of character had the potential to make folks suspicious. Like he said, if it was just voting against the house, it wouldn't be that big a deal, but making him call someone out would definitely raise eyebrows. Donny is a listener, sitting quietly during a lot of the house dust-ups; Donny is not Zach. Maybe he could have quietly suggested to Nicole or Hayden or Cody that Caleb voted against the house, but to publicly accuse someone would be completely out of character, especially if Derrick and Frankie were doing the same thing. It would, at the very least, make people suspicious that the three of them had an alliance, which I don't think is on anyone's radar just yet. That said, I am sick of all the unanimous votes. I get not wanting to stir stuff up early on, but the numbers are getting lower, and there is a clear power imbalance in the house - a power imbalance that could be shifted, IF the ones not in power act before their numbers are completely decimated.
  12. I'm really sorry to blow up this forum, but currently Derrick is hiding in the HOH bathroom - he and Frankie were talking, and then Caleb came up, and so Derrick hid. Frankie is running a bath to cover the noise, and he and Derrick are talking, and, presumably, Caleb is still sitting in the HOH room waiting for Frankie to come out of the bathroom. Derrick is huddled in what I think is the toilet stall, but he and Frankie are talking. It's been going on for several minutes. I can't even really pay attention to what they're saying, because the situation is so ridiculous. They did just say that "Donny can't go", so that's good! And there is something suspicious about these ring pops...
  13. No. More. Crooked. Hats. And really, no more black socks with shorts. Come on, guys - get it together. You're on TV, for pete's sake!
  14. OH MY GOD - Caleb is doing the pickle in the banana right now!! Zach is "helping", and dental floss is involved. I cannot even. eta: You guys - this is insane. Caleb is now practicing his banana/ pickle speech. Zach is laughing hysterically, but Frankie and Christine are, on the surface, taking him seriously, and they are encouraging him. Caleb doesn't even seem to notice that Zach can't take him seriously. This whole banana/ pickle thing might be my new favorite thing. They are advising him on how to keep it fresh!!! "Tupperware, tinfoil, freezer" I am dying.
  15. Despite some of the weirdness and gameplay associated with it, I have to say - I'm really happy to see a group of men be comfortable with touching each other affectionally. As a woman, I get to hug my friends all the time, and braid hair, or share a bed on vacation, or whatever, and no one thinks anything about it. Hell, we share changing rooms in stores. I think that men don't usually get to enjoy casual physicality with each other the way women do (societal expectations, need to be macho, homophobia, whatever). Instead, so many men touch their friends only in less intimate and/ or more aggressive ways - noogies or high fives or whatever. And I think it's nice to see men be able to enjoy touching their friends, and not be afraid of it. Zach, though - that's a different story. I do not know what is up with that kid (tm Cody).
  16. I'm not sure we can call what MS is doing "acting". I'm appreciating Morgan more and more - I really like that he has a personality and actual interests. Even if his biggest interest is professional wrestling; at least that has been consistent. Morgan seems to be one of the few characters who isn't just whoever the writers need him to be that day (recently; obviously, at first, his character was a mess). He seems like an actual.. character. I'm not articulating it well, but I feel like he could be an actual person, rather than a plot point. Of course there are exceptions, but I think that in the last few months, Morgan has been a really consistent character, and I kind of like who he is. Of course, him hating Sonny may be influencing my opinion of him. Never! Sonny's jazz hands will forever remain one of my top 3 GH moments.
  17. I'm such a broken record... Julian somehow is even more attractive to me when he's all dirty and bruised. Hubba hubba. Nina continues to grate on every nerve in my body. Why can no one see what a loonytoon she is? And how ridiculously fake she is? Don't get it. I'm hoping that she will start scheming with Nathan, and maybe he'll realize that she's a whackadoodle. But I'm not holding my breath or anything. I'll spare you all a Sonny rant today. I think you know how I feel. @Tiger - loved it all! This show could use more Drunk!Olivia especially, I think.
  18. Geez, this guy. If the Detonators don't figure out how to neutralize him before Thursday, I think we are in for an interesting week next week. Do Frankie and Derrick really not realize that Amber going home is going to set Caleb off? Caleb will either get super angry and stir shit up and possibly change up alliances (and scare everyone in the process), or he will just give up and wait to be sent home. The latter will be too boring to watch (who wants to see a lovesick delusional fool pout and mope all week?), so I'm hoping for the former. I really hope his anger at being lied to fires him up, especially because self-evicting won't get him alone in the jury house for a week.
  19. Is Julian getting hotter? Olivia's "When has that ever stopped you?" in response to Carly saying that Sonny was none of her business made me like Olivia again. For a minute. I didn't think I could dislike Nina more. I was wrong. And it's not even a fun villain to watch kind of hate - it's more like she's so annoying I can't stand to watch her. I like Roger Howarth, and I'm looking forward to seeing his character get involved in story lines that aren't 100% about his love for Carly. Although I would prefer he not continue to be involved with anything related to Nina (see above).
  20. I thought the whole Stu plot line was kind of funny. The Stu character is just such an unbelievable douchebag and his antics so over the top - I got a kick out of it. Especially enjoyed Ray having an idea how it would play out, and being slightly amused when it did in fact play out that way. Mickey continues to gross me out. I really don't get how all these people love him, or even tolerate him. Just ugh. I thought Abby's response to the neighbor was totally out of line, but then I figured maybe she's extra defensive about it because she's trying to get the better house in the better neighborhood with a daughter in the better school, but she's still afraid of being thought of as poor trash, or something? I don't know - I don't really get her character. But I am super happy she spoke up to Ray about the sex situation. That needed to be settled, and he needed to realize how he was making her feel.
  21. I must strenuously disagree. Caleb is a the creepiest creep that ever creeped when it comes to Amber. I don't think Amber is indifferent toward him - I think she is humoring him to avoid a bigger blowup. It may not be the wisest choice, because he seems so delusional that he's taking it as him possibly having a chance with her, but really, what else can she do? The other houseguests and production are well aware of his stalker-level creepiness, and no one is helping her. Rather, the houseguests are egging him on, and production is playing it for a laugh. I guess she could self-evict, but why should she have to? Instead, the way I see it, she's tolerating it and trying not to set him off, and trying not to blow up her game. I will concede, however, that she may be attempting to use Caleb's obsessive infatuation to her advantage. She's just doing a terrible job of it.
  22. Ex-cuuuuuse meeee? No. Just..no. That is unacceptable. Why should Amber be responsible for making some choice words to production? Production obviously knows how creepy this situation is; they're playing it up on national tv! They just don't care. Misogyny is a-okay with this show. Hell, even rampant racism was fine until the public/ media started making a big deal about it; otherwise, CBS and the show never would have done anything about it last season. I think that if Jocosta is in fact playing everyone, she's doing a pretty good job of it. She keeps getting put on the block, but she hasn't been the target. Everyone thinks she's harmless, and an easy evict whenever they're ready. It might not be a terrible strategy for her.
  23. Considering that Caleb called Obama a "muslim monkey", I'm pretty sure that he's well aware of his racist feelings. Although, I have no idea if those feelings are at play with the Amber situation, or if he's just this way with women in general, regardless of race. Either way, he's a major douche.
  24. I'm one of four siblings, and we have 2 redheads, a blond, and a brunette. One blue eyes, two green, and one brown. Two pasty-white people, one of really olive skin. And there is no question that we have the same biological parents, because although our coloring is drastically different and we looked nothing alike as kids, as we became adults, our facial features became noticeably similar. So, yeah, it's totally possible that kids of the same parents look different. Not that it matters if they have the same dad or not, just wanted to make the point, especially because I hate the implication that there's something wrong with Brittany if her kids have different dads. To me, it's a form of slut-shaming, and I hate it.
