  1. I think the Sam/ Silas love fest went off the rails when he was saying "You love me? You really love me? You..love..me?"
  2. I am with you. But I fear that all this "he's doing so well" talk is just a set up for a major setback, during which Patrick and Sabrina will bond and grow closer and fall in love again, and then the baby will recover and they'll all move in together. Not interested. Wait - where is Carlos? Have we seen him lately? Is Julian getting hotter? I was all about him today. May need a few more pants-less scenes to confirm, though. Viva Julian's Briefs! On that note, I like Julian and Ric. Well, I like them more than I like most other people on this show, at least. I want this story wrapped up quickly, with both of them coming out unscathed and Julian taking off his pants again. Luke can die, Julian can say he *thought* Ric was the big bad boss because he never met him or something, and we can all move on. To Julian's Briefs.
  3. I just remembered the horseback wedding flashback. Was that a thing that actually happened? I laughed. Oh, how I laughed.
  4. Oh my god - what if the lime transferred Morgan's sperm to Sonny, and Sonny is now pregnant with his own grandchild??? I don't really remember Damian Smith - I think he was on when I was taking a half-hiatus. Would he be *this* sleazy? Because this Fake Luke is gross. Not even a charming rapscallion; just gross. I'm leaning toward Fake Luke being someone we have never seen before. Leave it to this crack writing squad to go through all of this just to introduce a brand new villain, yet another new character that we could not care less about. And who will die in a month. Remind me - why am I still watching this show? Oh, right - Drunk Morgan. And Huge Danny. And Julian's Briefs.
  5. Naked is his best acting. I think it makes sense that Alison didn't tell Donnie about being a clone even before she suspected him of being her watcher. She's so tightly wound, and so caught up in her perfect little suburban world (or was, I guess - that has surely changed!), that she would have kept her worlds pretty separated. Letting Donnie know she was a clone would have destroyed her perfect world. I'm really glad that the Vic-spying-on-Alison storyline didn't get dragged out forever. I was worried we'd have to see that for a few episodes, and given how paranoid Alison is, and how not-smooth Vic is, it just didn't work for me, and I didn't want to see it go on and on. I think I like Cal, and I know I *want* to like Cal, but I'm scared he's up to something. He definitely knows more than he's letting on, what with all the guns and fake IDs and security measures and whatnot. I just can't believe he lives that way all the time "just in case." But I really want Sarah to have some non-clone, non-Felix really be 100% on her side, and not full of secrets and hidden agendas. It seems like all the clones keep getting screwed at every turn by people not being who they seem to be. (Ahem, Delphine, I'm looking at you. Never liked her, and would love to see her go away for good.)
  6. Ha - yeah, she definitely was rocking some seriously high-waisted pants to accentuate her already-long legs. I like the look, but it's not for everyone. I cannot stand JB Smoove. His voice irritates me, and I do not get his whole schtick. Not a fan of his comedy, and I'm glad we only have to endure short spurts of him. I was not a huge fan of the lumberjack guy, but otherwise I thought this was a good group. I heard somewhere (RHAP, maybe?) that they are going to do the house for the finals, which I have mixed feelings about. Although, it will be hilarious to see OCD lady in the house with some of these folks. All in all, I think they're lining up some good comics, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they have to offer. And so far, I like the judges and the way they are giving supportive feedback, but also constructive criticism. The judges all seem, to me, like folks who are not only judging, but also know what it's like to be up there trying, and want to help out. They don't seem to be trying to get a dig in or a get a laugh for themselves at the expense of the contestants, which was a complaint I had in years past.
  7. I lived in Dubai for a while, and dealt with the government of the UAE, and those scenes definitely had the imprint of government approval on them! I imagine the UAE gov't sponsored some or all of the travel/ shoot expenses, but also required certain things like the explanation of food, "Abu Dhabi is only 30 minutes down the highway!", and all the "We love the culture" things. And definitely the "I'm a modest girl" response from the woman helping Brooke dress. Those were not scenes randomly written by US writers. But the UAE is a fascinating place, and absolutely worth visiting, if you ever have the chance. What's the deal with everyone hating Bill? And why is he called Dollar Bill Bill (or whatever)? I'm new, and trying to keep up, but I find Bill so much more an attractive person, physically and otherwise, than Ridge. Yet everyone on the show is all "Bill is terrible!", and they don't seem to realize that Ridge is actually The Worst. Ridge just seems like a terrible person, and I cannot figure out why Katie is so accepting of his quest to stop Brooke's wedding. So confused. Quinn seems like she could be an amusing villain, but the actress makes this weird smiley face at all the wrong times. Like, when she should be pondering or twirling a mustache or gazing off with a nefarious look in her eyes, she instead is doing this goofy middle-school girl grin. I don't get it. I found myself liking Wyatt for the first time today, when he was pointing out that she is a total cuckoo.
  8. You guys, I think I like Drunk Morgan. That was amazing, and hilarious. Usually, both the character and the actor get on my nerves, but Drunk Morgan just made me happy for some reason. "Let's just, like, do what they did!" So funny. I make a conscious effort to not even think about ages of soap characters, just because I don't pay close enough attention, and it makes my head hurt to try to figure out what they've messed with. I just assumed that now that Michael is big-time fancy CEO, he is automatically at least mid-20s, and so I did not even blink when Morgan was bar-drinking. Ha! Sonny eating the lime in the middle of the baby/ murder talk with Ava might just be my favorite Sonny moment ever. Admittedly, I have few 'good' Sonny moments, but that shot of him and the lime had me in hysterics. Possibly not the reaction they were going for, now that I think about it. I like Ric and Julian, and it pisses me off that they might both be destroyed in this Fake Luke story. I'm hoping that when all the dirty laundry is aired, Alexis understands why Julian did what he did, and everybody forgives everybody (except for, of course Luke and Sonny), and the few characters I actually enjoy get to have some fun for a while. And that we get a lot more shots of Julian and Alexis having Hot! Sexy! Times! Any more theories about who Luke really is? I got nothing.
  9. Thanks, BestestAuntEver, for letting me know that I'm not alone in this thought. I am so sick of this "protect Michael" BS. No one is protecting Michael. They are protecting themselves. Protecting Michael would involve not wanting him to be so close to murderous assholes, and not wanting him to be deceived by and lied to by the people he loves. All this secret-keeping about Sonny's misdeeds (which are really adding up!) does nothing but protect Sonny. And for pete's sake, Michael is now the CEO of a major corporation - he's not a fragile little baby. So irritating. Also, in case it hasn't been clear, I loathe Sonny, and I loathe how MB portrays him, especially of late. I'm hoping that the recording Franco gave Anna hadn't actually been totally deleted, that Spinelli left something on there by accident, and that it all starts unraveling. I hope Michael cuts Michael and Carly out of his life, and he and Morgan team up to destroy Sonny. Even better if Michael brings cousin (uncle?) Lucas in, and they join forces with Julian to bring down Sonny. But clearly, I am a stark raving lunatic.
  10. God, I hope so too! And even though Jeff said the reason people didn't like it was because Tony found it, I think he knows better. People were furious about it before Tony ever found it, and production has to be aware of it. I did not even recognize Parvati. Even after Jeff introduced her, I had trouble believing it was her. Not sure why, though.
  11. I thought Morgan's "you kept men in your pocket, and you did it without boobs" was hilarious, and I think she meant it to be. I didn't get the impression that she was being serious at all, but rather was making a joke. I'm still so mad about that stupid TP idol, but my anger has faded a bit now that it didn't get used. Do we know for sure that no one asked if it could be used at F4? If they really thought it could be, or maybe could be, used, I think we would have seen some discussion b/t Kass/ Spencer/ Woo about it. Like, do we take the chance and vote him out, see what happens? But we didn't see any of that strategizing, and so I figured they knew it couldn't be used. Also, no one seemed surprised when Tony announced it at Tribal. I think that everyone knew that if Spencer went to F2, he would win, and that Kass thought she had a legitimate chance to win against Tony (wrong) or Woo (apparently, also wrong!), and so there was no way they were letting Spencer get anywhere near the finals. Spencer was more dangerous than Tony, and so they had to get him out at F4, which is why we saw no discussion about getting rid of Tony at that point.
  12. At least Woo didn't win - that would have been a terrible conclusion to what was, I thought, a really good season. But damn was I bummed when Spencer didn't win the F4 immunity challenge. He made the best possible argument to Tony, but it just wasn't enough. They all had to know that Spencer was a sure win at final tribal, and so he was a goner without immunity. Of course Woo made a terrible choice in taking Tony to F2, but I'm so glad he did! Kass having any chance at all at the million would have filled me with such rage that I .. don't even have words for it. And I was so glad to see the jury confirm that they would have voted for Woo to win over Kass. Tough for Woo, but I just could not handle the thought of Kass feeling vindicated for her nastiness. Yeah, not a Kass fan at all. And I promise you, it's not about gender at all, despite what she thinks. I am a lady litigator, not too much younger than her, and everything she said tonight about gender and litigating and whatever was nothing but self-serving, ignorant foolishness. Between Woo and Tony, I guess I'm glad Tony won. But it was a little disappointing overall, because of the edit he got all season. I was hoping that it wasn't as obvious of a winner's edit as it seemed to be. Very glad to hear that the next Blood v. Water is all new contestants. But I don't get the need for the gimmicks. This season started as Brains, Brawn, Beauty, but I didn't really see that affect strategy too much, especially after the first few days. It was, to me, a season of newbies who really wanted to play, and they made it exciting. Why not just keep doing that??
  13. It looks like Lucas got shot in the same body part as Liz, so I guess that means he'll be fine in a day or two? But have to move in with Felix in the interim, so Felix can take care of him? That's how story-writing works, right - we just change the characters' names, but everything else stays the same? I still can't figure out what Carly & Franco's endgame is here. Don't they realize that revealing that Ava shot Connie most likely will reveal that Sonny shot AJ? Maybe (probably) I zoned out on a lot of their conversation, but I don't really understand what's going on with them.
  14. Well, true. But he's kept the secret that Sonny shot AJ so far, due to his oh so deep love for Carly... But here I am, once again, trying to assign some sort of logic or consistency in to these characters' actions. I really should know better.
  15. I forgot Felix was going to be at the dinner. I wouldn't mind if he got shot at all. I wouldn't mind too much if Silas got shot either, except that I don't want to listen to Sam wail and cry and rend garments. I really hope it's not Lucas, or if it is Lucas, that it's merely a flesh wound. Over/under on Carly & Franco ever telling anyone that AJ didn't shoot Connie?
  16. sugarbaker, that's sort of my point! TJ told Alexis that Luke was "way out there" or something, seemingly having noticed that there is something wrong with the guy. Yet, his wife, his kids, and other people who have known him for years/ decades all just seem to think he's being regular old eccentric Luke. Just struck me as funny. And possibly as evidence of yet more shitty writing and storytelling.
  17. Who is Luke sending to Julian's Special Announcement Dinner? It's the first thing that's interested me in this whole Luke storyline, and I cannot figure out who it's going to be. Levi is an interesting speculation, but I'm not sure that works logistically. Wouldn't Luke have had someone in town before this, not out gallivanting around with Maxie in yoga camp or whatever? I don't know. It's curious. Also, I do not want anyone at Julian's SAD to die. Silas is my least favorite of the group, but I like all of the people going, and I think there is good story to tell with all of them, and I'm not ready to see any of them die. Or even have a major injury. So, whoever the enforcer is, I hope he's as competent as Shawn is. Is TJ going to be the one to figure out Luke is really Not Luke? He seemed to be the first one to realize that dude is Not Right, before all the people who actually know Luke and should have some reason to be suspicious. (AKA, all the people who are complete morons.)
  18. I was kind of surprised by the cool reception to Trish as well. At tribal, it seemed like the jury was on her side in the whole Trish/ Kass fight, so I was expecting them to be a little more supportive when she showed up. I can understand why the other contestants were annoyed by Trish saying she was glad to be out, but I can also understand where Trish is coming from. She was starving, and exhausted, and had had a pretty stressful couple of days. And was also probably trying to soothe some of her pain at being voted out. I bet that after a few meals and a good night's sleep, she feels a little differently. Too bad she had to irritate everyone right away, though.
  19. This has definitely been a great season. And tonight was possibly the best episode of a season with many really good episodes. Which makes it all the more awful that the stupid TP idol is in play (yeah, I'm not letting my anger about this go...). I think my biggest problem with Kass is that I don't think she has been playing any real strategy, or at least not a well thought-out one. I think she's been played by others, like when Trish convinced her to vote for Sara. Kass made that switch because she was mad that Sara was gloating that she (Sara) had all the power, and Kass gave her a way to get payback on Sara. That's not strategy, that's emotional. Imagine if Kass hadn't switched at that point - we might really be looking at a final three of Brains! But Kass got mad, and Trish played to her ego. I also think that her idea of taking Tony as a goat is seriously misguided. She seems to be pretty disliked by the jury, and even though Tony blindsided a bunch of people, I don't think she stands a chance against him at tribal. He's not Russell; people don't revile Tony like they did Russell, and it's possible that this group of (mostly) fans/ strategists will respect Tony's gameplay. At tribal this episode, she seemed totally clueless about how poorly she was coming off to the jury, and how well Trish was coming off. Although, at this point, I really don't think she can win against anyone that is left, so I guess that's a moot point. Sara sure won't vote for her. I doubt Morgan will; Tasha sure won't, considering that if Kass hadn't switched Tasha and Spencer (along with Kass) could have made final 3; and I'm sure Trish won't, since Kass seemingly replaced Trish in what Trish thought would be the final 3. LJ and Jeremiah? No idea what they'll do, although I suspect LJ will vote along with Morgan, and based on their expressions at tribal, they were pretty shocked at Kass' personal attack on Trish. Speaking of, the "skeletor" and "psychobitch" comments were way out of line, and, to me, yet further evidence that Kass is playing an emotional game, not a strategic one. Obviously, opinions vary widely on this one. I just don't see any real strategy in Kass' game. And I don't see any real intelligence in her. To me, she does seem like the trouble-maker, perpetual victim that Trish called her out as. And, as I've said way too many times, I don't think she is even half as smart as she thinks she is. And I've officially spent way too much time and brain power on all of this! I can't figure out sub-quotes, but to the second poster - Exactly! You need a Russell Hantz at your side to make that argument work, and Tony is not that. Kass is probably the most disliked person left in the game, and she hasn't done enough in the game to make the jury overlook their dislike of her. Especially with Sara and her new BFF Morgan at Ponderosa.
  20. I think Tony realized that Trish would be a lot more popular with the jury than he would be. Especially once he saw the jury's reaction to what Kass and Trish were saying - I thought their dislike of Kass, and like of Trish, was pretty easy to read on their faces. And honestly, I was really surprised by it. I thought Tony would play his HII for Trish, and then use the TP idol for himself if he was voted for, to keep his alliance with Trish safe. I did not see him voting Trish out coming, at all. But (and I hate to admit this, bc I do not like Tony), I think he made the right call. Obviously, Spencer beats Tony at final tribal, but he couldn't vote for Spencer tonight. I think Tony has a better chance against Woo or Kass than he does against Trish, and so getting rid of Trish was probably his best bet. I was just surprised. And JustAlison, I could not disagree with you more about Kass! On every level. But that's part of what makes watching this show so fun (and reading forums like this so fun) - all the different personalities and strategies and whatever. I see Kass in much the same way that Trish sees her, and I think she's smug and not even half as smart as she thinks she is. And I think Kass is playing a very emotional game, and then, later, in confessionals, acting like it's all part of some mastermind strategy. Much like Tony called her out for at tribal in this episode. Oh my god, why do I keep agreeing with Tony????
  21. I thought Trish was right on the money with everything she said about Kass. And I thought Trish came out ahead on that argument. I was actually pretty surprised, because Trish seemed to have a great read on Kass, and on how the rest of the group feels about Kass. Of course, that opinion may be colored by the fact that I happen to agree with everything Trish said about Kass - I think Kass is terrible. And I think I like Trish. I hate to be this shallow (but I am, so here goes...), but her appearance and voice are, to me, very off-putting, and it took me a while to see that Trish is actually pretty people-smart. After all, she's the one who got Kass to vote to Sara, and who brought Jeffra back in to the fold. Is Tony's plan to lie that he can use the TP idol at final four, so no one will vote for him bc they don't know what the special power is? If so, that just makes me even more pissed off than I already was about that damned idol. Idols have never been allowed to be used at final four (right?), and so everyone probably thought it didn't matter at this point. I really hate that idol. It seems like a major rule change, and while I acknowledge that TPTB can change rules whenever they want, it just seems inherently unfair that only one player knows what the rules are at this point. It's not a clue or an advantage, which I have no problem with players being allowed to keep secret. It is basically a Free Pass to the final four, and it just pisses me off to no end. They all should have been told what the idol was, I think. Or even better, there should be no such idol. Although, I guess it doesn't matter, because these fools haven't even bothered to try to vote Tony out. So much so that he is able to burn two idols at the end of the game, in no danger whatsoever. Idiots.
  22. So now Felicia hawked the Inca jewelry... I wonder what ol' Levi will have to say about that. I realize I'm obsessing, but if feels like there has to be a reason they've been brought back. Of course, that conclusion does assume that there is any rhyme or reason to this writing, so it's probably nothing. The Carly / Franco high mile club could have been worse, for sure, but it also could have taken up much less time. Julian and Alexis were hot. And believable as two people who wanted to have sex with each other, which is rare for couples on this show. I find that I am not at all interested in Lucy/ Kevin/ Scotty, which is a shame. I used to really like those characters, or at least care about their storyline a. I do like seeing the adult friendships, though.
  23. This Thorne guy- is he a idiot? He seems like an idiot. And Taylor's lips look like they hurt.
  24. I have no idea when or how it happened, but I now like Britt! When she first came on, and for months after, I thought she was a horrible person, a horribly written character, and not that great an actor. But now I'm all about her. Weird. I've come around on Brad a little too. I'm so over Levi already. Does he have some nefarious intent with regard to the Felicia's Inca jewelry? He changed course on going to the ball right after seeing it on tv, and then commented on it immediately when he met Felicia. Just seemed weird. Regardless, he's awful. Liz and Ric, yes please.
  25. I'm new to this show (decided to check it out when I heard Sean Kanan was landing here after leaving GH), and so I'm still learning characters. But I thought that when I first googled Aly Forrester (don't judge - I like to know what's going on on my soaps!), it said she had been pre-law. Isn't that college? I just figured she was in that nebulous post-high school/ not yet 30 age range that so many soap characters seem to be. Maybe a little younger and more sheltered than Hope and her male harem, but not significantly younger. I'm still figuring out what I think about this show, but I'm pretty sure I do not care for Katie. Or Wyatt. And I'm pretty confused about this whole medieval times or renaissance fair or whatever it is that those two people keep talking about. Happy to see the ax, though - that could get interesting.
