Well, the new episode is available and it was awesome ! Some random reactions (obvious spoilers) : The meeting between Woodes Rogers and Rackham was, surprisingly (because there was so other awesome stuff not because I had low expectations) the highlight of the episode. Funny and clever, two men with a lot in common but will probably never get along ! I really had no idea who'd win the duel between Teach and Flint ! I suspected Teach would bite the dust but feared a second Ned Lowe ! Thank you Charles for intervening ! Will have to rewatch the scene between Maddi and Scott because I didnt get it all but Silver and Maddi have great chemistry ! It's obvious where they're going, but the dialogue is selling it right and shaping their relationship in an interesting way. So, thanks to Vane, Flint now knows about the gold ! Well... Anne is now the key of it all ! Looking forward to see how all that will shape up but I'm sure Anne can fend for herself... for now... but she cant remain on the run for long... I have no idea who'll find her first ! Max is by Roger's side it would seem. I think it's her best move for now, but things can quickly evolve... in any case, I fond the character very compelling this season (unlike the first and some part of the second). I keep wondering if every new woman the show introduces is Mary Reed... I think we'll get her one of these days ! Anyway, looking forward to see other reactions !

The episode was great and all, but I'd like to mention a point that may goes unapreciated : Judith fighting to learn illumination and study of the text was a really nice move. I was afraid she'd go more power hungry when Ecberth asked her what her true desire was, but that opens way more interesting doors for the future ! Curious to see what will come of it ! Okay, perhaps Ecberth is only doing that so he can get rid of her, trying to blame her of being a slut for monks, but I really hope there's a longer plan, a more clever one for him. Sure, he aint giving her these lessons just out of the goodness of his heart, but I sincerly think he doesnt necessarly want to harm her... I always though he was... intrigued by her. Time will tell. I respect Aethelwuf ! Because nobody likes him while he deserves it and I like the actor ! But yeah, wonder if Wulfie will one day get some recognition ! Oh, and I didnt realized that I missed Kwentrith so much until I saw her crazy maniacal fierce lioness face in that scene ! ^^

I really wish they had devoted more screentime for the confession dialogue of the final scene... it felt short and I would have loved to go even deeper into the reveals.

Maybe I've missed it but have you read the last Dany chapter shimpy ? Oh, and I'm all for you reading the Unsullied thread (or some bits of it), hehehe !

Featherstone speech about the pardon and now being a free citizen of the Empire was also a really great moment. Way to flesh out the character a little bit more and give another real weight to the pardons !

Warning, this is mostly talking from the latest chapter of Dany ! Okay, I'll catch up with the rest of the thread after the post, but I hope this hasnt been already said, but my theory for the prophecy is that it fulfilled sun in the east, mountains flying, blablabla... somehow, I think it all happened there, but it's not really "Drogo" that's back, but "Drogon", in the sense that now he respects her (perhaps will even go as really obey her, who knows). The first step to being a kick-ass dragon-rider. She's finally looking back, embracing some stuff and I sincerly think Martin tried to change the character in quite many fashions in that final chapter, and her "sun and stars" returning in the form of an obedient dragon fulfills for me the prophecy. So I must say, even though I've never been the giggest fan of hers, I'm quite curious to see what's in store for her ahead !

*mumbles, feeling like a complete (or sort of) Grammar Stannis, but unable to stop it* Dalla... not Val... Val's the younger sister who everyone at the Wall is pining for at that point (or at least they should be !) ^^ Sorry, sorry, couldnt help but correcting you, but... but it's Val... Well, the quality is rising. The actors are good actually but I'm still having a hard time getting past all their "Apollons and Aphrodites" looks and vibes... too much is too much sometimes, which is sad, cause although way too "basically handsome and sexy", the actors are really not bad. I'm really starting to appreciate the acting of the lead one (Wil). Anyway, I had the same problem with The 100 at first and get beyond it, so hopefully the same effect will happen here.

Damn, it's so much fun reading this thread and reactions without having read the books ! Which is something I'll have to do pretty soon, really !

Halfway through the first episode; Enjoyable so far except for that lame-ass song at the party. I feel like the books have way more depth (which is obvious) and the characters probably not described in certain ways the show portrays them to be, but still, curious to see where that could go.

Wylla's speech is intense indeed ! But we all look forward to shimpy reaching some other...

I like the idea of a release of the first dozen viable chapters he has written (some kind of "book 6 - part 1 of 3"), but I understand he should first finish the complete book to know if those chapters truly need no revision.

There were six GoT actors in The Force Awakens. Gwendoline Christie, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Jessica Henwick, Mark Stanley, Miltos Yeromelou and Max von Sydow ! ;) Although we didnt get to see Mark and Miltos faces... Gwen's neither for that matter, but well, let's not delve back into the "underused Phasma" debate (it's not even a debate it's a universal complaint, but well...) again

I came here to mention that "Qartheen warlocks with the Crow's Eye" fact for shimpy, but it's been said already ! That's another one of those stuff I didnt get at all at my first reading !

The Doctor finally getting to do a "proper bigger on the inside" speech was hilarious !

I really, really, really hope you will enjoy Theon's arc, shimpy ! :) I'm one of those who think it's among the best material GRRM ever wrote ! But, as others said, I think it will get more interesting for you after a couple of his chapters.

My bet is either on dissidents of the Belt (not OPA !) secretly aided by that seemingly genius building the station for the Mormonts. Either industries who have secretly developed even better technologies than Mars and explored the solar system beyond Jupited and Saturn. Except if Uranus and Neptune (or, to be more precise, their satelites) are already exploited, but I dont remember getting any intel on the situation further Saturn.

Okay, so I'm completely foreign to the source material but since I'm completely hooked up, I think I'll remedy to that ! Some part of me is really pissed off because that's exactly the kind of show I've been dreaming to write and try to pitch for years ! ^^ I'll come back later to discuss it in more depth, but I hope the Martian Lieutnant (the one who came on board with Holden's crue at the end, cant remember his name - EDIT : Lopez, apparently from reading the post above) survives his injuries. I really liked the actor and the glimpses we've had at the character.

I honestly havent been disapointed by SyFy lately (well, Dark Matter was more of a guilty pleasure, but anyway...) and that pilot convinced me ! I think I'll be along for the ride !

Daaaaamn, I loved that episode ! Definitly my favorite new show of the year !
