Kody, just admit you want to be a monogamist with Robyn and stop blaming everybody else.

You can hear the pain in Gabe’s voice and Kody won’t even acknowledge it. Kody, you’re the one who’s f’ed up. Love Gabe calling out that Kody made no effort to call or stay in touch. I hate Kody with the heat of a thousand suns.

Hi, all! I watched this earlier on Discovery Plus but thought it would be fun to watch again with all of you. COVID is going through my house, I'm sick so I'm confining to my bedroom and I'm BORED.

I think Ontreon knows that if he loses weight his wife is going to expect him to get a job and he doesn’t want that. I think as soon as she gets her green card, she’ll be out of there (if he lives that long). I wouldn’t blame her a bit. Side note on cinnamon rolls-Trader Joe’s has a canned version that’s pretty good. They’re expensive, but they’re also larger than Pillsbury’s version.

Robyn Brown: She wanted the family, but got stuck with the man.
Kbo replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
It makes me think of that scene in the Sopranos where the mom brags to one of her kids friends about her Lladro figurines, not knowing that the friends family was seriously wealthy. Robyn came from humble beginnings, I wonder if those figurines give her a feeling of “I’ve made it”. -
It’s not. I used to have to go out of town for two weeks at a time every quarter for my job. My husband juggled our 3 kids, and the youngest was a baby. It was tough, but we did what we had to do to provide for the family. Robyn’s a selfish cow.

I’ll be shocked if this guy gets surgery. He’s clearly not willing to make the effort. He laughs and he’s got one foot in the grave. I like his wife, I feel bad for her

I was thinking his name sounds like a type of Pokémon. My 8-year old has a bunch of Pokémon plushes and he makes me try to guess their names. I suck at it and he laughs and laughs.

That cheap-looking shiny jacket Meri has been wearing in her talking heads needs to be burned. Actually, I’m not sure that material would even burn. If it does, it would probably emit toxic fumes.

That sectional is seriously ugly - where do you even find one that color? And it totally clashed with the area rug. It’s a Mish-Mash McMansion. -
That’s pretty much what I’d expect from Mykelti. She’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Any drawer 🙄

It’s hard to fathom that Tammy had the nerve to complain about the electric wheelchair. Apparently it never occurs to her that her family would like a break from pushing her 650 pound butt around. I was honestly waiting for the motor to start smoking on that wheelchair! She’s heinous. Family or not, I’d have dumped her a long time ago and moved on with life.

My personal name for this episode is “Shut up, Robyn”. I was interested to finally get a better look inside her house. She’s managed to make a $900,000 house look tacky and cheap. Can’t say I’m surprised.

I’ve been asking myself that question for the last ten years (at least).

I like to imagine Dr. Paradise wheeling out of there and speed dialing Lola. “Girl, you are not going to believe this one” 😂 I feel like it’s safe to say that long-time viewers of this show have seen things. Things we’d like to forget that are burned into our brains. Even so, this was the weirdest episode in recent memory. Listening to mama screaming when the PT people were outside was a sharp contrast to all the insistence that Margaret is her baby. There’s got to be some weird stuff going on behind closed doors. Would love to hear what the siblings have to say about all this.

Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)

I wish sugar cravings would disappear that quickly 🙁. I have a sweet tooth, and when I’ve given up sugar in the past it’s taken a lot longer than that for sugar to lose its siren call. I can sympathize with Janelle’s struggles, but not with promoting Plexus as the answer when it clearly isn’t. -
Had to laugh when Chris was complaining about Tammy’s couch not having any support. No sofa in the history of the world was built for what the Slatons have put it through.

Remember in the early days when they said things like “oh my heck” because they didn’t curse? Kody said something last night about the family abandoning his religious standards. I don’t think their actions (premarital sex, etc.) bother him nearly as much as the loss of control.
-
Exactly. My two older sons are around the same ages as Janelle’s boys, and they had to work during COVID because they have bills to pay. My family tried to be responsible and cautious, but reality is they were dealing with the public every day. If everybody followed Kody’s rules society would have shut down completely. Who do you think was putting together your takeout and curbside orders, dill hole!

Although this was more of the same conversations we saw last week, there was still a few interesting things that came up. I thought it was very telling what Kody said about Christine thinking he was negligent when Truely got so sick. That was the perfect opportunity for him to say that in hindsight, he wishes he'd taken her to the dr. sooner, etc. Instead, as usual he makes it all about him. Guess what, Kody--YOU WERE NEGLIGENT! It's on film, we all saw it! Christine has every right to blame you! And then he goes on to say that if a child dies, he doesn't want a wife hating him and wanting a divorce. I guess when you have 19 kids it doesn't matter if you lose one here or there, as long as the wife isn't mad at you?!? If he'd said something like what happened to Truely scared me so much, I want to take every precaution because I couldn't live with myself if something happened to a child and it was my fault, I could sympathize with that. However, he only cares insomuch as it effects him. I feel like Robyn coached his approach at that meeting with the wives. She even corrected him at one point (guess he went off script). And that tooth-baring grimace at the end? Seriously? Loved when one of Janelle's boys said that Kody's been at Robyn's house for the last 7 months. Keep dropping those truth bombs! And then Janelle tries to say she doesn't keep track of where Kody is--yeah, keep telling yourself that. I have to say, the show hasn't been this interesting since the catfishing incident. COVID has shaken things up and caused conflict, which is far more interesting than endless debates about property lines of Little Plague on the Prairie.

Did you all see they showed the entire page of the "rules"? I paused the TV and took a picture (I know, I need a life), here's the complete list. Somebody's phone was covering a bit at the bottom, I've made educated guesses on a couple words. I'm typing it verbatim, even though it pains me: Wear mask in public Sanitize hands after shopping Wash hands often Sanitize purchase products and groceries with alcohol wipes before [bringing] inside house Remove shoes outside Change clothing after visiting shops, other homes or businesses Only local family allowed in home unless abiding in these rules No eating at sit down restaurants; only take out Limit shopping. Use curbside pickup. Two week quarantine after travel or having visitors No movie theaters, bars, fitness centers or restaurants, etc. If in person shopping is absolutely necessary, ten foot social distance and only for limited times, 1-2 hours. Prefer to stay inside vehicles. Be honest with other family members about your travel and potential exp[osure] If kids are socializing or dating they must follow quarantine procedures be[fore] participating with family in any way other than outside, social distancing. Clean mail with alcohol wipes.

This episode did NOT disappoint. First off, I could not believe my ears when Kody said if Ysabel would hurry up and get well that would make him feel a lot better. Yeah Kody, because it's all about YOU and YOUR feelings, not your daughter who's gone through excruciating pain without the support of a parent she desperately wanted to be there. Just get better Ysabel, so daddy can stop feeling guilty for being a worthless excuse for a parent. Watching Robyn try to spin that COVID meeting was fascinating. Of course she had nothing to do with any of this, she's just following Kody's rules. He would never, ever be led by a wife. Just typing that makes my eyes roll to the back of my head so far I can read the tag on my shirt. Guess she figured since she has no plausible defense she better go on the offense? Not that anybody bought that performance, wives or audience included. I loved how Kody tried to say that pre-COVID he divided his time equally between Robyn, Christine and Janelle, and then Christine said he would come over at 5 for dinner and be gone before the girls were up in the morning. I know who I believe! I do think Christine and Janelle were being more casual about travel and being with other people than perhaps was wise at that point in the pandemic. However, as others have pointed out there were plenty of compromises that could have been made-Robyn just made sure Kody wouldn't consider them. I wanted to slap her so hard when she said Sol and Ari couldn't be without Kody for 2 weeks--but it was okie dokie for Ysabel to go off for major surgery for 6 weeks. Every time I think I can't despise Kody and Robyn any more, they find a way to top themselves. They're both showing who they are, and it's so ugly. Can't wait for next week when Janelle tells Kody to F-off! Go, Janelle!

Savannah looks so much like Janelle in that picture. Nice to see her smiling. -
