  1. Didn't they say that it was the WIFE that felt compelled to this lifestyle and she had to convince HIM to get on board? And they were doing this all before the fire.
  2. Billie's got a blog post about how the Girl's Night thing was the biggest trigger of her life. http://itsmebillielee.com/2019/01/22/the-biggest-trigger-of-my-life-girls-night/
  3. They had a whole episode about this. Claire was REALLY bothered about the slavery at River Run. Remember - one of the slaves attacked a man and she ended up trying to save him. The town came to have him hanged and Jamie and Claire really struggled with what to do. They ended up giving him a mercy killing rather than allow him to be lynched alive. And when Jocasta tried to get Jamie to take over River Run for her, Claire and Jamie refused, partly BECAUSE of the slavery issue, and they left. They tried to convince Jocasta to free her slaves, but remember, it was going to cost a fortune because each slave would cost like $2000 or something to free, plus they needed proof of some brave act or something like that. The law regarding freeing slaves was ridiculous and Jamie and Claire realized they couldn't do it, so they left. Although they didn't show it, I'm assuming Claire warned Bree about slavery at River Run and Bree probably decided the fight wouldn't be worth it since she couldn't change anything at the time.
  4. Looks like The Brineys won't be back this season. Just watched the S2 episode that recaps season 1 and it only showed the Snowdens and the Alldredges. Bummer, because it would've been nice to see what happened with April on a new season.
  5. I'm under the impression that each topic originally under the Travelers forum wasn't long enough/active enough to warrant Travelers having it's own forum anymore, so now it's just one single topic with all the previous topics combined. Kind of sad... not sure the reason behind this change.
  6. I will be so sad if this is the last of Travelers, because it was probably my favorite sci-fi show on TV and so well done! But if this WAS the end, then it was a good ending. I especially loved that they showed Marcy and David meeting. Even though that's not the Marcy that David fell in love with, it's satisfying to know they might get to really know each other and have a life together. I kind of wonder if they ended it in this way in order to explain an entire new Traveler team if the show gets renewed, especially with Eric McCormack back to doing Will & Grace. Maybe the actor didn't want to do both anymore, and this allows them to continue the show with new actors if they want. I'll be sad, because these actors were all AMAZING, but I'm in for whatever they decide to do, even if it's having this be the last season.
  7. It was actually the opposite of that. She was walking down the street with her friend when she saw the house. THEN she was looking it up online and saw the picture of the mother who was killed. My understanding was she had the photo of her mom holding her in front of the house, so when she saw the house, it stirred her memory because of the photo. Her friend mentioned that it had been in the news because of the murder, so she looked up the murder and saw the picture of her mom in the news article. That's how she realized it was the same house from the photo she has. And then AFTER all that, she stopped by the house to introduce herself to Maggie and Mel.
  8. Harry made a comment something to the effect "So we finished the job" implying that the Whitelighters/Elders finished unbinding their powers (which, if true, I'm really not a fan of - they shouldn't have the ability to do something like that).
  9. I agree - the insides of the house were really dark and I couldn't get much of a feel for it. Also, the attic? How friggin' big is their roof?? Their attic looked HUGE, which makes no sense given what the house looks like on the outside. At least the original Charmed attic actually LOOKED like an attic, with slanted walls and exposed beams. This did not look like an attic...
  10. Yep, absolutely the same house (I just rewatched that show). I didn't love the new show yet. They really failed to form the sisterly bond that the OG was known for. In the original pilot, you could really FEEL they were sisters, from Piper trying to break it to Prue that Phoebe was moving back in, to Prue and Phoebe arguing over Roger. It was very REAL. Besides Mel showing up and embarrassing Maggie in the very beginning, this show really was missing that family/sister aspect. Hoping that part of the show gets better as it goes along. Also, that twist at the end? If Harry is evil, how can he hold the book?? Or is the show just going to skip that part of Charmed lore?
  11. This wasn't... terrible. But it wasn't great either. Besides that early scene where Mel shows up at the sorority Maggie is rushing to bring her home, I didn't really get much of a sister vibe from either of them, which was pretty disappointing. And I really hope there's a good backstory for Macy, because it feels like, at the moment, not having them all grow up together was a mistake. It's really missing that family/sisterly bond at the moment. And the feminist spin... WAY too heavy-handed and over-the-top! It kind of felt cheesy and like the show was trying to make fun of itself at times. I was not a fan of that at all. The twist at the end with Harry potentially not being good? (Or maybe the contact through the Ouija board is the not good one.) That was an interesting twist. I'll keep watching, but I'm really hoping it gets better.
  12. Rewatching season 2, some of it doesn't really make a lot of sense, especially in the grand scheme of things. In "Lullaby" when they go back to 2020 to kill Jones, they keep experiencing a Groundhog Day like event, and can't break the cycle until they save Hannah without Jones knowing. In a way, given who Hannah is, it makes sense they have to save her, but Jennifer says something like "Maybe Time LIKES time travel!" which we know isn't the case. I wish they had found a different way to save Hannah without it seeming like Time itself has an agenda. Season 2 (from my recollection) is the only season that gives Time an agenda like this. I'm also not a fan of the finale "Memory of Tomorrow." Cole using the tea to transport his conscience back to the past makes no sense, especially since no one ever does this ever again (except the Witness, but she's using the splinter radiation or something to do it and she can project her conscience into anyone, not just herself). And related to that, in "Meltdown" the Witness takes control of Cassie to sabotage the Machine, but for what purpose? Just so that Olivia would end up raising Sam so she can get to Ramse later?? And what was the whole point of the Messengers?? If Titan can destroy time itself, paradoxing Primaries wasn't necessary, or was it all a rouse to send back Olivia mother? Or is Titan a backup plan?
  13. Just watched season 1 "Divine Move" where Ramse talks to old Jennifer in 2043. She says to him that they have to undo everything they've done, undo everything Cole's done! It was RIGHT THERE!!!
  14. Anyone else notice the house is the exact same one from Witches of East End?
  15. This show is terrible and ridiculous and I find it deeply amusing!
  16. I've been rewatching the original and I'm starting to get anxious about this reboot. At first, I was kind of excited, because, even though it's a remake, I was looking forward to seeing witches, white lighters, demons, etc back on my TV every week. But now I'm wondering if they can possibly do it any justice. The original Charmed was so amazing... Here's some of my hopes for the new series: An epic love story, like Piper and Leo, except hopefully without as much of the angst this couple had to endure Overarching and complex story lines, like the ones involving The Source, Cole's redemption/The Source/coming back from the dead, etc. A slow development of their powers - from fairly clueless in episode one to a mastery of their powers, mixing potions, creating spells, etc after many seasons Sisterly bonds! There's nothing more Charmed than the bond between the three (four) sisters!
  17. I don't understand how or why she needs to be invited to an event she was working?? In what way was she NOT included?? Scheana even tagged her in her post about it.
  18. Will clogged it before he dumped the water in so that it would hold that much water.
  19. Anticipation! I've actually been rewatching the original on Netflix and it's actually getting me excited to watch the new Charmed! While I'll always love Prue, Piper, Phoebe, Paige, Leo, etc., I also loved the mythology of Charmed, the magic, the dips into Wicca, and everything else, so while we won't be seeing the original sisters, I do think it might be fun to dip back into this world again and see what these new sisters do, what mythology is the same and what changes!
  20. Woohoo! Not only renewed, but committed to coming out next year!!
  21. I liked it. I like Shahi in everything. Although it wasn't really clear why Mara took the job when she apparently had a decent teaching job already. Especially since she still has her demons for not being about to succeed negotiating with her brother-in-law, I'm surprised she'd put herself in a position to do more negotiating. Though I guess seeing the abandoned kid pulled at her heart strings and maybe the idea of being able to reunite families after her own family tragedy was a strong pull? Big fan of the end where she saw a glimpse of her niece! Is she still dreaming??
  22. See, I was under the impression that Robot's ship crashed on the planet roughly the same time all the Jupiters did. But it would make sense that the Robot ships have their own drives too and I don't know why I just assumed there was only the one. I guess part of the reason was because if all the Robot ships had their own drives, why would they have attacked the Resolute to get it back? I'm kind of assuming it's a moot point though and we'll probably never see the Resolute or get the answer to this question!
  23. That's not my impression at all. I was under the impression that the Resolute was using that alien egg drive to travel between Earth and Alpha Centauri. But then they were attacked the the Robot aliens (one or more, don't know) in an effort for the Robots to get it back. I assumed the egg drive on the Robot's ship was really the one from the Resolute, and so now it's on J2 and the Resolute doesn't have one.
  24. Just introduced my kids (5 and 3) to this show and got them hooked! Now they just spend their time singing the theme song over and over again. I'm such a proud Mama!
  25. Fernando basically got lucky - he was on the security screens rolling down a hallway, but Marcela was distracted at the time, so he got away with it! They must not have a camera at the power station that he disabled (poor fore-sight on that one). And Joana was hiding in the air ducts for a good portion of that until the power was cut! Rafael was trying to get into the database room on the Offshore where all the registration information was kept. Michele was involved with the Process this year, which is why she had access and he didn't. It wasn't anywhere near that communications bunker that Andre had brought her too. She had overheard Joana and Rafael communicating about the plan, which is why she left to go intercept Rafael.
