  1. Would someone by chance have a link to this scene of Cap and the hammer? I didn't get to see it and I really want to!
  2. Not their worst episode but not their best either. Apparently Hetty made a congressional hearing go away by pulling the fire alarm and jumping out the window. I wonder if we'll hear about it again. Granger looks like he's been ill, but I'll chalk that up to the stress of dealing with Hetty and trying to reign in Callen last week.
  3. Because the veterans work is in the course of Callie's existing job. It is not significantly more time consuming and doesn't require Callie to basically re-do her residency (even at an accelerated pace). And doesn't Callie already have grant money for this? It may be a 'use it or lose it' situation that is already in place while the fellowship was a possibility that would disrupt their already made plans for a second child.
  4. While I think her method was a bit clumsy (envelope of cash, really?) I can appreciate that Penny is sensitive about going into the marriage on a less than equal footing. She's spend years as the 'poor' (for lack of a better term) and struggling-career-wise member of the group. While Leonard meant the car as nothing more than something nice for the person he loves and as far as we can see, doesn't keep score (really I just don't ever see that being part of his character), I can also see how Penny would worry about it. Even if those worries have no basis. They could use a few session with a couples counselor before they get married, not because they have problems but because I think they could use the help in recognizing the other's communication styles and attitude towards finances.
  5. To be fair, Callie was already pregnant and had decided to have the baby. This was going to happen. Arizona was going to have to decide if she was in or not because the baby wasn't hypothetical anymore. If Arizona was out, then Callie needed to know. With a child to consider, Callie simply didn't have the luxury of waiting for Arizona to be okay with it.
  6. After this week my money is on 'throw her out of the program.'
  7. I'm assuming that the barrel came back to the US with them and that Dr. Bergmen handled the identification. If the body was decomposed (and if it fit in a barrel, this is likely) then Steve looking in there would not have enable them to identify the body as Matt. Not to mention the US authorities are not going to issue a death certificate on the the strength of Danny saying that someone (who is now dead as well) in Columbia claimed the barrel contained his brother's body but they have no way to verify.
  8. I don't think so. I see genuine irritation that Arizona is distracted and unprepared for surgery that has absolutely no margin for error. This fellowship is extremely prestigious and Herman is absolutely right to expect Arizona to be giving her absolute all. No hanging around the NICU and undercutting Alex, not allowing her personal life to get in the way at work, not being late for rounds. She basically back in residency again and need to act like it. Time in the skills lab, time with the charts, prepared to 100%.
  9. You'd think that between Hetty and Nell, they'd keep a stuntwoman their size around.
  10. I thought Deeks backed off in Three Hearts last year after dealing with the undercover agent that fell in love (or at least lust) with his target's wife.
  11. I don't know what is going on with Kensi & Deeks but they are clearly hiding something. A little too quick with the 'we carpooled' denial
  12. Actually I wouldn't be too worried about payback if I was Danny. I believe Reyes was in charge, which means that whomever is left just got a promotion. Not much motive to for seeking revenge.
  13. Okay, never cross Danny Williams. Ever. I think even Steve might lay off a bit after that. Can I just say that seeing Timothy V. Murphy playing a character with a soul is unnerving. I know him as Sidarov from NCIS:LA and Ian Doyle from Criminal Minds. In both he played a sadistic crime boss and a multiple episode big bad. I know he was no angel here but it was still weird. I love how Chin and Steve immediately and without hesitation put themselves in jeopardy to help Danny get Matt back. I can't tell if it was knowing Matty was dead or the implicit threat to Grace that put Danny over the edge. But that 'look at me' was chilling.
  14. Was some of the beach evacuation footage recycled from the tsunami episode in season 1?
  15. I think there was a part of Ellis that felt she couldn't risk being known as the woman that abandoned her child in order to press forward with her career. She was already facing heavy pressure as 'a woman in a man's world'. If she walked away from Meredith, she could have felt it was an admission that she couldn't handle everything. Also, I know Sarah Paulson is busy but I liked her so much more as Ellis than Sally Pressman.
  16. I'm guessing that Peter Cambor is not always available, which is why we didn't see him working with Kensi when she got back from Afghanistan. I really hope we hear Nate make reference to Kensi having been seeing some sort of therapist since he himself was out of the country/on assignment. Because if it becomes clear that Kensi was not send to any sort of counseling while Nell gets Nate brought in because she shot someone (and I'm not discounting that killing someone is traumatic) then my respect for Hetty is done completely. If Sam and Deeks had to see a therapist, if Nell has to sit with Nate, the Kensi absolutely should have had to as well. To not do so is negligent at best. What happened to the Hetty that made her agents get their annual physicals and pysch assessments and keep up with professional development courses? The steely-eyed bureaucrat that scrutinized after-action reports, enforced the budget and guarded the viability of undercover legends (like sending Callen to traffic school to preserve it!). Yes, she was the Master Spy and had also sort of weird stuff in her background but she was also much more competent at her job. I miss that Hetty.
  17. Okay, now that I'm not having to post from my phone I have some further thoughts, mostly about Kensi and Deeks. Those who are less than thrilled about this aspect of the show, skip this post. Just how many times has one stayed over at the home of the other? They were way too comfortable waking up with that call to Ops for this to have been a one-time occurrence. There is a certain lack of awkwardness that I thought was fairly noticeable. Kensi has been trying so hard to bury Afghanistan and it is clearly getting harder and harder for her to do so. The fact we didn't see her entire interview really drives that home. As did that wonderful scene between her and Deeks afterwards. I am convinced that the only reason she hasn't cracked yet is because she is talking to Deeks. He does understand what she went through and knows the best advice/comfort to give. Even though it's probably tearing him up to have to do so. I also find it very telling that Kensi is willing to let him see her cry, something that she would never do in front of any of the others. If Vance orchestrated this hearing to get Hetty out of LA, does that mean he can now call it off? I never needed to see Granger in bed with anybody. Hetty is going to be pissed when she sees what happened to her house. More shirtless Callen please. I felt bad for Nell. I know we've see her use her weapon before and I know she used that knife very well but killing someone is a whole different thing, even it is life or death. Mattius is a dead man.
  18. So Vance triggered the hearing to get Hetty out of LA. Interesting. He's not wrong about her being...resistant to protection. And he both gets answers about the Afghanistan op plus reminds Hetty she's not all powerful. Pretty sneaky of him. Why exactly was Deeks at Kensi's place? Guess Callen's undercover op is done if he's cutting his hair. Loved Sam's interview with the investigator!
  19. If it is him, I'm guessing his wife has since divorced him and that blackmail is no longer valid.
  20. Ooooh! Mataeus! Didn't think of him. He was a good villain. Oddly civilized but easily defanged by some judiciously applied blackmail.
  21. I think the fact that she hit him in the shoulder is proof she's notan expert. May would have taken his head off.
  22. I'm not reading it as a ret-con. I'm reading it a sociopathic Ward working an angle to try to escape.
  23. TVGuide just posted the summary for 6.04 (October 20th episode) The team members desperately search the city when they learn that someone from their past is targeting one of their own. Meanwhile, operational psychologist Nate Getz visits Nell to help her through a traumatic experience. I'm really curious as to what is going on. Who could the person from the past be? My guesses: Janvier breaks out (fairly long odds but he did swear revenge) Nelson Sanders (Arms dealer that Deek's friend testified against, could be how they bring him back) Any thoughts?
  24. I'm absolutely with you on that one. Hetty really messed up and I while I know here intentions were good, we all know what the road to hell is paved with. She has to acknowledge what she did and try to make amends. Someone going after her doesn't change that or absolve here in any way.
