I was concerned at first that Frost wouldn't be mentioned, so I'm glad they found a way to remember him. Was anyone else wondering what the episode title "Ocean Frank" meant until Korsak spoke those words? At first I was thinking, where's Frankie going?

The Bachelor Season 21: Spoilers and Speculation
scrambled eggs replied to leighdear's topic in The Bachelor
I'm excited for this. Nick has been really likable on BIP, though of course there is the editing aspect. But Nick seems pretty smart, so that's a change. -
I feel so bad for Sarah, why does Ashley get this special treatment? She should have gotten to come back too. Also, I do not remember any of these latest batch of guys. They're really getting some bottom of the barrel picks. Though I think I also missed a lot of Andi's season.

Chad is horrible, but him saying that Chris Harrison watches the show while drinking a mimosa and wearing a bathrobe was hilarious.

I'm going to miss this show--it was never great art, but the cast was really likable and the show got some fun guest stars. It's really the end of an era, no more "blue sky" shows on USA. I like Suits and Mr. Robot, but I wish there was still a place for the Psychs and Monks and Royal Pains.

I enjoyed this episode more than I thought I would, but it was very much lacking an equivalent to "Guy Love."

Yeah, that's concerning. They need the positive influence of their older siblings, but that's being lost as Logan, Madison, and the others move away.

I started crying there and didn't stop until the next commercial break. I'm really glad that Shaw and Root were able to have closure, via The Machine.

I only watched a few episodes of the American Crime series, mostly because watching scenes from the trial just makes me angry again. I don't know how much I'll enjoy reliving the trial when Made in America reaches it, but this first episode was fascinating. I was too young to remember OJ as a football player, so I had never seen this much footage of his career--he really was astonishing. The tidbit that stuck with me was OJ's first wife originally dated Al Cowling and was dating him when she started seeing OJ. But Al remained loyal to him. The timing also worked out well, with the footage of Muhammad Ali. Quite the contrast between those two men.

It was a bit too much for me to witness! I made a mistake of not fast-forwarding through the endless birth scene until it was almost over. And oh my God, Kody, shut up. So much time wasted on his family not immediately quieting down to hear his deathless proclamations.

S07.E03: Thanksgiving: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
scrambled eggs replied to Armchair Critic's topic in Sister Wives
Yep. And then about 2 minutes on Thanksgiving, most of which involved moving tables. Also, I'm glad Kody let us know Thanksgiving is a really American holiday. I had no idea. -
The most horrifying episode of Fringe dealt with a human marionette. I did not need to see that again. Although actually, it wasn't as bad as watching Hodgins be an asshole to his wife.

I watched the episode tonight. Half-watched really, since I knew what would happen and was too upset to pay close attention. The scene on the porch made me cry, because it reminded me of how good this show could be when it focused on Abbie and Ichabod. I can't see the point of SH being renewed. Who would watch?

Say Yes To The Dress - General Discussion

I like how Pnina calls herself the "star" of SYTTD on her Instagram. -
I can't help wondering how Rachel has no other friends, so Donna was her only bridesmaid. She's presumably lived in New York her whole life--does she not know anyone? No friends from school? Cousins?

Scully really cannot deal with this malarkey. My favorite moment, after the scene of Mulder and Scully on his front porch (ah, that chemistry), was Scully stabbing Steva with the needle without a warning. Don't be jabbering about her kid, Sveta.

I really really wish Roxy had been killed. She willingly let a 16-year-old girl be raped. Being allowed to surrender is a far better fate than she deserved.

Parks and Recreation in the Media

That's the closest I will ever come to seeing The Revenant. So neither Aziz nor Rob won best actor in a comedy at the Golden Globes, but Aziz with his fake book "How to Lose to Jeffrey Tambor Gracefully" was some Amy Poehler-level award snark. Loved Meet Your Second Wife and the "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" close. Such a happy way to close the year. Though as noted above, I couldn't hear Sir Paul either. Amy Schumer not knowing how to use numchuks in the Dope Squad sketch was probably my biggest laugh of the night. Either that or Leslie Jone's reactions during the second wife sketch. I wasn't sure how a two-host setup would work, but if any pair could pull it off, it was definitely Amy and Tina.

I could have watched an entire hour of Rosalee punching Xavier. Who I kept wanting to call Tom because of Cougar Town.

I'm sure Mariah's change of heart was the result of seeing how her mom was tossed aside for Robyn. Also, it was very striking how all the problems--Kody paying less attention to his daughters, Christine feeling doubtful about plural marriage--occurred right around the time Robyn appeared on the scene, but they always gave another explanation. Lost track of how many times Christine was thrown under the bus during the tell-all. And Janelle barely had any reason to be there.

S27.E08: Krakow, I'm Gonna Get You
scrambled eggs replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Amazing Race
I have never felt more suited for a Roadblock. Just finished watching the episode. It seemed appropriate that an episode that honored Oskar Schlinder ended with an NEL--the episode was about saving people, though for much, much lower stakes. -
I thought they made her look so much like Bridget Moynihan. I could really see them as mom and daughter. I'm usually not a fan of Blue Blood's politics, but sadly there have been a number of incidents of college students shouting down speakers who say things they don't like, or forcing their schools to disinvite speakers. So even though the speech scene had the usual BB heavyhandedness, it wasn't too far from the truth.

Garrison is going to be a much better dad than Kody, just by doing the exact opposite. Same with Logan. Also, with that grocery bill, they were spending about $5 per person per meal. That strikes me as pretty expensive, at least for breakfast and lunch. But it wouldn't surprise me if grocery prices were high. I once went on vacation on the Kern River and the one grocery store was much more expensive than at home. Still, $3,000 over two weeks seems excessive.

Henry continues to be the worst. Can't they kill him off for a special sweeps episode? Alex is too good for the Reagans to be saddled with dating Erin, even if she usually is the best of the lot. Also, someone please remind me when LInda last had a plot. It took me ages to even remember her name.
