  1. I kept waiting for Megyn to ask "In keeping with the Gothard teachings, did your parents blame you for 'defrauding' your brother, leading him to act this way? Did you have to ask him to forgive you for tempting him into sin with your immodest dress?" I knew it wouldn't happen, but I sure wish she had!
  2. Shoot, all they need to do is run a DNA test on the gum. The kid took off when the cops came, so I bet he has some sort of record. They can find him. Div did some dumb stuff, though. The baby scare thing was lame and not keen on Evan having a kid. He needs to grow up first. Hank is back in the dating pool. Who cares? I'm not so sure I can watch this show anymore.
  3. I have to add that line of the week went to Grant in what I felt was a salute to his sidelining: "I'm going over to Peter Cho's house to play laser tag. See you when I get back from college."
  4. Even though I know "Castors" refers to Castor and Pollux, castor also means "beaver" in Spanish. I giggle every time.
  5. We are rapidly approaching "Under the Dumb" levels of idiocy. Time for another summertime stupid-watch!
  6. I'm worried he's a candidate for Chuck Cunningham Syndrome. Just when I was thinking super-sweet, caring Max should go back to school and become a social worker or something like that when this happens. Guess that's not a very good idea. Still, it was originally Max and Carter, then it was Max and Taylor, now it's Max and Carter. Sigh. Max needs to take it a little further afield, methinks. Regarding Carter talking to Lori's doctor. Not only is she a minor, but it's very odd in light of HIPPA, since she's really not her daughter/family and WTF was Max doing in the room privy to this private health information? Wow. Talk about a lawsuit waiting to happen! This is what I get for watching a show geared waaaay outside my demographic!
  7. What I can't believe is if Taylor is such a good person, how come she hasn't 'fessed up, at least to her parents, that she was the one that crashed the car? The only people I like in this show anymore are Max and Grant. Don't know that I can keep watching. The writing has gone from bad to worse. ETA: If I didn't think it was horribly, horribly wrong, I'd say Max should kidnap Grant and the two of them should head for higher ground.
  8. Not terribly keen Miss Mardle took Grove (aka Big Dick) back, but if she's happy, I guess that's all that counts. I had hoped she'd be stronger than that. Knew when they said the Prince was gambling with two dancers it was time for the Dolly Sisters to show up. Unfortunately, Loxley (Little Dick) was correct when he said Harry has his weaknesses. I have a feeling next season will be much sadder than this one, especially since it's the last one.
  9. I thought there was going to be a secret baby, too, possibly "born a little early." Oh well, it is the Hallmark Channel! Jeans have been around since the 1870s! Typically worn by cowboys, miners, and other outdoorsy types. Henleys were undershirts. Lumberjacks wore plaid in the late 1800's also, so yep. Some things just don't go out of style! I'm betting we're getting the "Little Women" treatment with Charles and Elizabeth. He'll wind up with her younger sister, the "Amy" type, like Laurie, while Elizabeth and Jack are endgame. Rosemary will probably wind up with Leland, but I like him too much to wish her on him! We could lose Rosemary in the wilds and I wouldn't miss her at all. Speaking of Leland, I kept trying to place the actor. Knew I know him from something I watched a lot and he played a good character. IMDB to the rescue: He was Robot Deputy Andy on Eureka! I knew I liked him for some reason other than this show.
  10. My theory is 1) Patricia's Oscar and 2) it's probably popular with folks who have problems just booting up a computer, much less being even remotely tech savvy. Trust me, there are still a lot of them out there.
  11. Ah, I did not pick up on that. They seemed a little too close for comfort! Yep! It'll be interesting how it all plays out.
  12. For the first few seasons every time Grove came on screen, I'd think "Dick." Then Loxley came around and I couldn't call them both "Dick" so now Grove is "Big Dick" and Loxly is "Little Dick." Want to have a slap-a-thon on both of them and hope they bugger off next year. At least Grove did something less dickish this week, but I can't help but think Earnest will still get short shrift from him. At least his siblings will take up the slack in that department, he's loved by them. Oh, dear. Is Nancy-the-grifter really going to marry Mr. Selfridge? Isn't she already married to her partner in crime? I wonder if Marie will out her in some way? Takes one to know one!
  13. I would imagine these are both Mr. Bacon's reactions to the news!
  14. I enjoyed this episode if only because it addressed Colony Collapse Disorder which is a very real threat to the American food supply. I'd keep organic bees if I could. I do agree it was a convoluted case and lost the impact of actual CCD in the unfolding. I thought for sure Aidan Quinn was going to leave the show and the promotion was his foot easing out the door. Glad he's not (at least so far), but wondering what trouble awaits him next season. Perhaps we'll get a clue next week! Was happy to see Sutton Foster!
  15. I'm not so sure he isn't. Even hard-core murderers will take out a baby killer in prison. It's considered unforgivable to kill a kid. Well, glad Cornell came after Abby in the end since she's clearly a sociopath, but Ben totally deserved to be in prison for his numerous counts of felony stupidity!
  16. Kevin Bacon, call kill your agent.
  17. Saw this as a banner while watching reruns of Frasier in the wee hours: "When Calls the Heart Starts in 5 days!" I haven't seen much promotion of it, but Season 2 starts this coming Sat. 4/25 with a 2 hr. premiere: 8p-10p, 10p-12a EST. I was shocked and pleased!
  18. Comcast's description of next week's season (probably series) finale has spoilers for the cliffhanger: I'm guessing,
  19. For fans of Michael Mando (Nacho): Q&A with him in my gym's newsletter. Apparently, he's a super healthy guy!
  20. I am so glad they clarified the Scully and Hitchcock issue. Given how difficult it is to even make Detective, I have long wondered how they managed it and how they stayed on the job. Now we know. Gina doesn't care about anyone else, why should anyone care about her? Touchy, touchy. Should have been fired years ago, but, as Ailianna said, it's next to impossible to get rid of government workers!
  21. So glad I watched Walking Dead instead of this. Caught up OnDemand and now I know which one is the real "walking dead." And we thought last week was bad?
  22. Watched this because a) everything else is in reruns, b) hatewatch time! and c) promise of Michael Ealy. Turns out he doesn't show up until Ep. 6! Curses. I thought he'd be a regular. Last year I felt sorry for Kevin Bacon having to do a second season of this bilge. This year, he's dug his own grave. No sympathy from me anymore. What have you done with your career, Kevin?
  23. OK, Harvey said he loved Donna. He did not say he was "in love" with her. There's a difference. I'm not seeing this as the beginning of a big romance yet.
