  1. OK, how many folks laughed hysterically when Ben got bonked by debris? I confess, I sure did. But dangit, he didn't die, he just wished he had. What a colossal crap ending.
  2. TV Insider article on tonight's finale. No big spoilers, although Matt Dillon does promise all outstanding questions will be answered by the end of the episode. We can only hope! ETA after the finale aired: Matt lied.
  3. The apple pie defrauded Joshie. It didn't stand a chance...
  4. BBC America posted a fun response to Tatiana's nomination on their website.
  5. Didn't realize it wasn't eligible. Thanks for clearing that up for me, guys.
  6. No Emmy noms, not even for Production or Cinematography. Boo.
  7. Emmy nom for Best Main Title Sequence. Better than nothing!
  8. At long last! FINALLY! YAY!
  9. A friend of mine discovered this craft project: How to turn Barbies into Weeping Angels. Although I certainly don't plan on doing it, the step by step instructions are inspired!
  10. Sheesh, I can live without any scenes of Evan, ever. Even when he's not being written specifically as a social-climbing jerk, he's still a jerk. First you call maintenance, then you call animal control. It's a freakin' hospital. More fool you, Boris, if you hire him permanently. I still can't figure out what Paige ever saw in him. *coughLOSERcough* I was very glad they handled the young tulku's storyline sensitively. I was afraid they would try to re-write Tibetan history and gloss over the Chinese atrocities committed against its people for a laugh.
  11. A little more info from TV Insider on the Amazon fall-through. Now, it makes a bit more sense: "More originals, and particularly a high-profile "rescue" like Hannibal, would seem to have been the order of the day. But with the cast now officially released from their contracts, and Fuller focusing on American Gods, getting the gang back together would apparently take longer than Amazon was willing to wait; and the international distributors that made the show financially viable for the studio are much more reticent about throwing their support behind a show not airing on a major U.S. distributor (à la NBC, or a cable channel like FX or AMC)."
  12. I was also thinking Starz might be good. They picked up Torchwood for a season after it was cancelled by BBC/BBC America. It wasn't a very good season since most of the best characters were already dead or had their character defamed, but they did try.
  13. This week's ratings are even lower: 0.4 for the 18-49 demographic. Terrible, but ratings were abysmal across the board on all networks this week. At least we beat out Beauty & the Beast at 0.3! Aquarius dropped to 0.6. A rough Thursday all around.
  14. As someone who loved the documentary series Life After People, I find the whole premise of Wayward Pines neigh unto impossible to accept, much less believe, even as Sci-Fi. Since there's only 4 more eps to go, I'll watch, but I expect nothing. JtS, indeed! The only remote twist I can accept is that it's all a madman's (Pilcher) psychological experiment and it's still 2015.
  15. Wow. Bummer. Talk about back-pedaling! Amazon said (and I wish I could find the article I read a while back) they would pick up Hannibal if it was cancelled by NBC and welcome it with open arms. What a difference a season makes? Well, I'd rather see it on Netflix, but they don't have the streaming rights -- for now. That exclusive contract is up in 2017.
  16. Last week's rating was 0.5 for 18-49 demo. An Elementary rerun scored 0.3 points more. I knew the handwriting was on the wall with that. I feel we are very lucky to have three seasons and for NBC to agree to air the rest of the episodes this summer. Amazon has indicated interest and I'm sure both Hulu and Netflix are eying it, too. Don't cry Fannibals, it will be back! This is the only show I own on Blu-Ray and I'll buy the 3rd bloody season, too. Here's my spleen!
  17. Typecast! ETA: Aww, sweet article today on Alex in Vulture which says pretty much the same thing: Why Is This Actor Playing the Same Character on Finding Carter and The Fosters?
  18. And why has Ben been in courtrooms for 16 years? And why isn't Lori trying to get Taylor? She's her egg, too! What a pile of crap. Was Lori the surrogate for them or just the egg donor? I thought she actually carried the twins and that was the bond she couldn't sever. If just the egg donor, I can't see an iota of reason behind all this insanity. If not written by, at least for? I don't think intelligent adults are exactly the demographic they're shooting for. ETA: Carter is close to 18, WTF is this about custody? For what? Six months? As if!
  19. There are 13. Yeah, I know, I don't think I can either.
  20. Had to get away from this topic for a while for my own sanity! Glad to hear Josh & Co. has left DC. We don't want him here, got enough problems. Looks like they realized they better clear the hell out before Pride Day this weekend. Gotta keep them kids away from them LGBT molesters, ya know.
  21. Ugh, way TMI on Evan's motility problem. Like we should care? It's not like the world really needs another one of him! I figured no one had used the sample because: LOSER! Don't need to see his "baby making attempts" either. Well, Divya got off pretty easily, but we're going to have baby custody angst for the next 6 eps, I'm sure. I dunno. I thought this was the last (short) season, but it seems there's a season 8 in the wings. Why?
  22. Not sure if this should go here or under media. Came across it by accident: Fashion Blogger "Possessionista" tells you who's wearing who and when in S7E1. Interesting if you like that sort of thing.
  23. Good news: Alex is back on The Fosters as Wyatt (ABC Family). He showed up on last night's ep (S3 E1) with his hair down!
  24. I have issues with Bones showing up at the GA meeting. That's not how it works. Booth's sponsor needs to have a little chat with her about that. I don't know if there's a GA Anon for family and friends, but she needs to go to those. I don't think I can take another season of this, especially without Angela and Hodgins. BTW, I also don't think they're legally married if her real name isn't on the license. Maybe that will be a plot point coming up?
