I was thinking maybe she lost a bet - otherwise there's no excuse.
  2. I work with an attorney who handles product litigation defense but he also does a lot of pro bono work on immigration cases. So it does happen.
  3. I love Allison Janney but Bonnie is my least favorite character. I really miss Christy. I'm enjoying the reruns I've been recording from past seasons much more than the current season. And instead of giving us a not very good episode with this Rod character, why can't we get a good episode focusing on Wendy?!
  4. Oh, fuck no to Buzzy. That would put me off of the show forever.
  5. Gilligan was champ for the last game with Alex, broadcast Friday, Jan. 8 2021, originally scheduled to run Dec. 25 2020. He appeared in the next game broadcast Monday Jan. 11 2021. He came in second in that game. I think the "champ when they shut down" is referencing the champ from earlier in 2020 when production shut down due to Covid. I don't think that person has been back.
  6. I think she's just there for Pat to have a sidekick now - she certainly isn't needed for anything else. I still do like trying to solve the puzzles though, but Leslie Jones was just SO DAMN LOUD that I couldn't deal with her for an entire hour-long episode.
  7. I didn't make it through the entire show. Leslie Jones is annoying as fuck.
  8. I watched it, but I'm already over the "characters" and stupid editing. Doesn't mean I won't keep watching it though . . .
  9. Thanks for posting this. I went to set my DVR to record it and found that it's actually showing on the 27th at 2:00 p.m.
  10. If you could write all that down in 30 seconds in that small space, I'd give you credit!
  11. I love seeing these special shows so we get to see the kids a little older than they were on their original seasons. I wouldn't mind seeing some of them every few years. Maybe we'll see some of them on other Baking Championship shows once they're adults.
  12. When the one kid was talking about the "old ladies" at her church (60 year olds), Valerie said she had just had a birthday, and guess how old she was? 60! Her birthday is in April so it was filmed after the pandemic began.
  13. But it's more interesting on Flesh and Blood. I really hope they have a 2nd mini-season of that show. I'm really done with dealing with the past so much on this show - I'm ready for it to just be present day and future.
  14. Oh my gosh, I certainly hope so. I'm so tired of all of the flashbacks to their births 40 years ago and all of that drama. I had to fast forward through a lot of this episode because of it. I'm also fine if we never have to see any more of St. Jack. Let's focus on the present day family/extended family - there's plenty going on to fill up hour-long episodes.
  15. The same reason some people refuse to wear masks - it's 'Murica and you can't tell them what to do - health, safety, and common sense be damned!
  16. Do you know if the players/their management-PR team provide the profile photos? Or if ESPN can use any photos they want? Not disagreeing with you that it's annoying, but am curious how they determine what photos to use.
  17. One of my Jeopardy pet peeves is players who don't play to win. The leader going into Final Jeopardy needs to presume that the 2nd place contestant will answer correctly and double their score, and they (the leader) needs to wager enough to beat that amount by $1.
  18. Or lack of opportunity. None of the chefs were fluent in Italian and Kevin was the one who proudly claimed he had been there several times. In addition, it could also be that he's just not good at learning foreign languages. I wish I could be as calm and chill as Melissa is when she's under pressure. She's got such a great demeanor. I'm really looking forward to the finale and will be happy with any of the 3 winning - that'll make it much more enjoyable to watch. Except I really wish Leeanne and Malarkey weren't coming back as sous chefs - they're both very tiring.
  19. Since the judges were eating 6 entrees it made sense that they weren't the larger portions that the restaurant normally serves.
  20. I agree. Being a great chef and being a great game show contestant are two different things.
  21. Thank you for the explanation. It's early in the morning and I haven't had my coffee yet - my brain wasn't making any sense out of what I was reading! Hoping Kevin doesn't win though.
  22. I'm confused. From the last few posts It sounds like the contestants who are still in the competition are competing in Last Chance Kitchen.
  23. It's part of the "self-esteem is everything and let's give everyone a participation trophy no matter how bad you are at whatever you're participating in" generation.
  24. Have they stopped doing reward challenges or are they just not being shown?
  25. I've always liked Tony and think he's hysterical. And I believe even he knows all that spy stuff is silly and he's just having some fun with it. They need to spend their endless time out there doing something. I also think that, just one time, they should have a tribal council vote immediately after the immunity challenge, and I mean immediately as in Probst gives the winner the immunity necklace and says "Let's vote - Nick (or whoever) you're up first." No plotting or planning, no discussing/whispering at Tribal - just vote.
