  1. NBCSN did another U.S. gold medal montage in their overnight coverage. They had different categories of the golds like the most (speedskating), the youngest (Tara Lapinski), the miraculous (1980 hockey team), and the legendary (I think they showed Vonn and Ono). They ended it with a montage of our gold medal winning snowboarders.
  2. Crazy to see Kelly Clark at number 60 (right behind number 59 Tara Lapinski) and realize she is on the same team as the number 99 winner and almost shared the podium with her.
  3. Mostly I’m sad about what could have been. Such wasted potential with both the concept and the cast. And I’ll miss this community a lot. When this show was worth speculating about, there was no better place to do it.
  4. It sounded like she’d been on the phone with the hotel for a few minutes before the viewers “joined” the conversation.
  5. Future Randall with future glasses! Going to have to go back and see if the future Tess actress was in the previous episode with the little boy. I’m guessing she was. ETA: It looked like that was footage from this year’s Super Bowl that they managed to sneak into the episode. If so, that’s pretty cool.
  6. Not being a downer at all. I just couldn’t think of a slow cooker name for Kate to use like Randall used the fan name, so I went with Betty as the other poster had used it. My slow cooker is Hamilton Beach so I guess she could name something Hamilton.
  7. Just wait till the future episode when a distraught Kate tells a Bed Bath and Beyond employee all about why she has to return the crock pot from her wedding registry because a crock pot killed her father. BB&B employee will be an expert on crock pots and explain all the new safety features modern slow cookers have over the ones from 40+ years ago. Kate will return home trusting in slow cookers again and lose weight through meal prep. Maybe she’ll name her next pet Betty. This way Kate can join Rebecca, Randall, and Toby in their habit of pouring their hearts out to random people just trying to get through a day at the job or a trip to the store. ETA: And Kevin with the hotel housekeeper. See, everyone really does forget about Kevin. I trust Beth will be the only main character not doing this, because Beth slows her roll when needed.
  8. I haven't even been closely following OUAT news (sorry y'all) and no less than four different sources have let me know Lana Parrilla is directing the episode Chosen. I've watched shows that had stars direct before and I don't recall them (sometimes much bigger stars) getting this much media and social media coverage. Maybe those shows just had more exciting stories and news to share? We all know Belle has never lost sleep.
  9. When we didn’t see Tommy saying “in the bleak midwinter” to Arthur’s corpse, it pretty much confirmed for me that he wasn’t really dead. I also didn’t think they would really kill both of Tommy’s main brothers in the same season. I was worried for Ada when she stayed in that bathroom, however. I found most of the finale to be oddly paced.
  10. I was just talking to someone and said the exact same thing, Anakin Space Jesus could have done it and people would have had no complaints. Absolutely loved that part. Of course that ship would fill Kylo with rage. Good. I also thought Luke's scene on the Falcon with the dice and R2 with the Leia projection was perfect. I thought Luke was projecting his situation onto Obi Wan's there. Luke believes he created Kylo Ren.
  11. If it's Walsh it would serve her right. They said it was the magic of a person who had sacrificed the thing they loved most. So it's a loophole. Apparently all the many other dark curses could have been cast by just getting Regina to do it. Sorry Felix (well, Pan would have probably done that anyway), Charming's heart, and Merlin. I will say I am intrigued by what's going on with Rumple. I think he sacrificed something (his sanity?) to help Alice, and she feels she owes it to him to stay with him? He also said he locked Mr. Gold in a room and implied the teacup would unlock him, so was he not Mr. Gold in the EF scenes when he was Imp!Rumple? Has he merged with Wish!Rumple? ETA: It occurred to me that maybe Regina really did sacrifice the thing she loves most, her magic (hey maybe that was her real sacrifice during the first curse). Unfortunately, the show gave no indication that she would permanently lose it by casting the curse and judging by her conversation with Zelena, she doesn't seem to think it's permanently gone.
  12. The Leia/Resistance plot for the first half of the movie really reminded me of Battlestar Galactica. They were really trolling the audience hard with the Kylo/Rey scenes. And of course, Luke proved to be the Master Jedi troll. I am glad they didn't kill Leia, but I really wish it wasn't obvious that Episode IX was meant to be Leia's film and now we'll never get to see it. I'm so glad we got a Leia and Luke scene, that was one of my main wishes after Episode VII, especially since we didn't get a Luke/Han scene. I like that they included Luke reacting to Han's death. The Chewy and Leia hug doesn't make up for the lack of hug after Han's death. Chewy was underused in general. Did I miss it, or did we not actually hear Rose tell Finn about her sister's necklace? And is someone going to rescue Luke's X-wing from the ocean? I totally thought that would happen when Kylo held out his hand to Rey.
  13. Was Dinah wearing a fabric blazer over a leather jacket? If so, why? If Team Arrow needs six heroes to match the six villains, I'll take Speedy, Arsenal, and Ragman please. Like Thea, I miss Roy.
  14. Aren't the comics Archie and Archie Hopper both redheads? The plot thickens! Clearly, this is a flashback to the heretofore unknown curse that turned Jiminy into a high school student!
  15. Guys, when Martin fired the toy bow and arrow they played the Arrow music mixed with the LoT music! It was amazing. Less fun thing I noticed: They had Martin sit in the same medical/barber chair that Stein died in.
  16. I hope Dominic isn’t “dead.” I really enjoyed the character. I really like the actor as well. That said, I wish the show hadn’t chosen to have a white man buy a black man’s body and take over his free will, assuming Dominic’s consciousness even exists anymore. Well, call me insane because I totally would, especially if it took absolutely no time or expense from me. Expense being the main reason I think most brides would be upset to have their moment “hijacked.” I also chose to forego a wedding registry so I probably wouldn’t be complaining about a nice espresso machine that’s not on the registry either. Shrug. It’s understandable that Iris is disappointed with how her wedding turned out, many women would be, but not all of us are the bride must be the center of attention (when there’s a two person audience) type. It’s worth noting that show could have chosen to subvert the trope and had Barry be the disappointed one if someone must be disappointed. That would have been in character for wedding planner Barry, I think. I have no anger at Iris for displaying the typical bridal behavior we see in all forms of media, it would just be nice to see the opposite attitude represented once in a while. And it would be definitely nice not to read comments implying that that attitude is not sane.
  17. Barry's "damn" when he saw Oliver in the tux. Snart calling Oliver Ollie and Oliver and Sara's retorts. Barry telling Snart that he usually just wings it and Snart's reaction. Just everything Snart really. Also, everything Mick, and his reaction to Snart's story of how Mick-X died. And his realization that Sara hit that. Ray's Mengele moment. Nate's corny/awesome line. The Ray and Mr. Terrific's superhero names discussion. Felicity wearing Oliver's tuxedo jacket. Felicity standing in front of Kara. Diggle finally appearing after I waited 3 hours and 57 minutes for him! Also, the reminder that he is the number one Olicity shipper. Paul Blackthorne's performance of Lance-X. Even though it was hard to watch, it was hard to watch because he was so good at it. Felicity recollecting that she once tracked a serial killer with face cream. The amount time they allowed for everyone's reaction to Stein's death. Some shows might have just glossed over it, especially in a busy crossover. Oliver and Kara fistbumping instead of hugging. I have more but this is getting long. I feel like I'm missing some Cisco and Harry moments.
  18. I just rewatched the whole thing again and holy moly the Legends hour is non-stop entertainment and the scenes surrounding Stein’s death are so affecting. As soon as Ray shows up and they cut to Wild Dog and Mick being let out by Nate then Zari and Amaya the entire tone just improves for me and I didn’t even think the tone needed to be improved upon but it somehow was. A nice exchange I haven’t seen get much attention is the one between The Ray and Mr. Terrific about their superhero names. I also still love Leo calling Oliver “Ollie” and Sara and Oliver’s response. I just love Leo in general. Did anyone else think something was going to go horribly wrong when Frost pressed the big red button? I guess it was just a great big threatening button which must not be pressed under any circumstances. I love it even more on rewatch. The whole thing is a really remarkable achievement.
  19. This is why they all got married together. I’m going to assume they’re all married to each other until Diggle says otherwise. We even got decent Iris and Felicity scenes so now we’ve got every side of this quad covered.
  20. I’m rewatching the whole thing and that scene between Barry and Oliver in the tux store is so flipping cute. Their relationship has always been my favorite thing about these crossovers and I’m so glad they got such a nice scene together before all of the action started.
  21. I would actually root for Regina over Nazis. Although considering some of her worst acts, she might just ally herself with them instead. Probably not worth the risk.
  22. I feel the total opposite. I love when people reject all the pomp and circumstance of a traditional affair. I especially love it in media when a couple whose wedding is interrupted just decides they can’t wait another minute to not be married. It’s the best of both worlds (or all 53) IMO because they still did the whole dressing up and being with family thing and would have gotten married right then if evil people from another world hadn’t tried to steal the heart of one of their friends.
  23. I know I seem to follow you around every show’s forum liking your posts, but I have been feeling the same way all day. I am in nerd heaven. That Avengers trailer was a great thing to see this morning.
