  1. Nope. You may have noticed that Lana Parrilla is a very attractive woman herself. Unless you're implying the majority on this forum are only attracted to dark-haired stubbled men with chest hair, which would be a weird thing to say, since many people can look at a conventionally attractive person and say, "meh, not for me." Personally, the most attractive male on this show for me has always been Charming and I don't cut him a lot of slack either, although once I heard his gorgeous singing voice that admittedly got a lot harder.
  2. I don't want Hook and Emma to have a child/children if they end up being separated from them while they are young. If the children are teenagers and aged (along with Henry) while Hook didn't, that would most likely mean that they were raised somewhere else by someone other than Hook. It's possible Emma escapes the Curse and raises them alone, as sad as that would be. If the kids were frozen in the Curse, then Emma might have missed raising another child/children if she's not also present in the town. Or they just go with the Cruella/Ursula aging explanation for Regina and Hook. The one thing I was kind of looking forward to about a CS separation (assuming they're still together but just physically separated) was Hook's epic angsting over getting back to her, but the likely memory loss and cursed personality are going to keep that from happening. Bummer. ETA: If they are really going to copy pay tribute to season one, they could put Emma in a coma like Charming. ETA2: Unless they are all living in peace in the EF until whatever came for Henry in the beginning of the finale comes for them. But then how do they explain the not aging?
  3. The more A&E say thing like they had this time skip planned a year ago and that GG and JD told them a year ago they were leaving, the more annoyed I get. You had a year and this is what you came up with? Even if I'm being nice and assuming they really thought JMo would sign, they still gave Snowing and Belle almost nothing for a whole year. Snowing's sleeping curse would have been worth it if we had significant interaction between Snow and the other characters and Charming and the other characters but normally they were just doing what everyone does on this show, chasing the MacGuffin of the week! And when they did know JMo was leaving, they kept Snowing and Hook apart from Emma for an hour and 45 minutes in the finale.
  4. Well, I most likely won't be able to watch live on Fridays, but maybe that will be a good thing for me? I don't think it means anything. The Evil Queen is Regina. Captain Hook is Killian Jones.
  5. I think that's right, but IIRC, the extent of his involvement was in question and frankly I was too lazy to look it up.
  6. Meanwhile, the actual creator of LOST has a quality show on HBO and barely ever feels the need to make a LOST callback. Part of that could be because the show's not on ABC, but I think part of it is because he doesn't feel the need to make his new show look like LOST. Knowing how Lindelof writes his arcs, and knowing what this show has looked like these last few seasons, I 100% believe that rumor that he was helping A&E behind the scenes in the beginning. Someone on tumblr compared it to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, but I find it very easy to not consider Cursed Child canon, no matter what JKR says about it. I imagine it's even easier for people to not consider the new Star Wars movies canon because George Lucas isn't involved. This is different. This is an A&E creation on the same network made in the same timeframe as the original six seasons. We don't even know if it will have the same music or the same title screen or what have you. It's most likely not going to be as different from the first six seasons as A&E are leading people to believe.
  7. The wolf could see where this was going a long time ago, so he got out of town fast. Wolf has the true happy ending.
  8. I won't waste my time on wishes with these writers, instead I'll appeal to the talented writers in the fandom. My wish is for a genfic that covers this whole series but erases all the generally agreed upon bad parts and makes the good parts even batter. Where we get canon couples but also focus on the non-romantic relationships that were completely neglected in the later seasons. I want a fic that makes me like Regina and at least understand Rumple again. I know this seems like an almost impossible task, but apparently True Love's Kiss can cure abdominal stab wounds now, so I figure someone's author pen is at least up to the challenge.
  9. Seconding the love for Sense8. In fact, I am also doing a series rewatch to cleanse OUaT from my palate. All of the eight(!) main characters are just so likable, as are most of their supporting loved ones. Even the foil for my favorite relationship on the show is likable.
  10. Given this show's love of Whedon, they should just hire SMG next season. She'll come on as an antagonist to Regina, but I'm sure she'd come to love her eventually. I'm sad to hear it, but you should do what's best for you. This show is not worth your mental health. If you're silly, then so am I. For me, this was the once in a decade show that completely captured my imagination and my heart. The only other shows that I've felt this way about are LOST and Buffy/Angel. Unlike those shows, I've been watching Once since the first week it aired. Sure, I have other television series that I enjoy, some of which are leagues better in quality, like Game of Thrones, but those shows don't cause me to endlessly speculate or make up fanfic in my head before I fall asleep at night (well, the book series for GoT does, and so did Harry Potter, but something is different about a long-running tv series). It's my only "must watch live" show. Part of that's because I enjoy keeping up with the live reactions on social media, but a lot of it is because the premise and actors hooked (heh) me right from the start and some choice parts of this show could be so very, very good when they wanted to be. I am pretty bitter about this finale. I was going to make a big sentimental post yesterday about this show, but didn't end up having the time, and now I'm glad I didn't. I'll save my sentimentality for this forum instead. Never have I ever gotten so much enjoyment speculating about a show as I did on this forum in the spoiler thread circa season 3; and later, being able to politely discuss the missteps these writers have made. I never needed a wedding or a happily ever after for my two favorite couples. I just wanted some nice moments, because this show told me a long time ago that life is made up of moments, but we barely got any of those. Always plot plot plot moving at a lightning speed while it never took a second to breathe. Even the last dinner at Granny's looks like it was a day or two after the final battle. They couldn't even give us a year time jump to show that things were peaceful for a while, most likely because they want to keep us guessing about what happened to cause Henry's flashforward situation and when. It sucks. I would rather have ended it on Going Home or There's No Place Like Home, the last good finale this show has done. Perversely, I am glad for the seventh season now because there's still some small part of me that hopes (what is wrong with me?) we'll get some more crumbs about our favorite characters.
  11. I've always thought if they did a Next Generation of this show, Snowflake would be a brat and Gideon and either Robyn or another child of Regina's would be the "heroes." I don't think the writers can resist this fascinating role reversal that no one saw coming.
  12. If Henry's family was scattered throughout the realms and he had to go with Lucy to find them that would be kind of neat. However, if all the characters happy endings depend on which non-contracted cast members are willing to come back, then we're going to have a bad time. This will not end well. Worse, once they realize (if they haven't already which would be pretty conceited even for these writers) that the main impetus for most of us to watch this show is glimpses of the old cast, they will bait us with them all season long.
  13. The most telling thing for me about this finale is that they chose to take up screentime twice with two versions of the same character on screen at the same time, and both of the actors for those characters are returning next year. Meanwhile, over half the cast that's leaving barely gets significant material for one version of their character. If you would have told me that I'd be most upset over the ending for the dwarves out of all the characters on this show, I would not have believed you, but how dare they have Grumpy of all people bow and scrape to the "Queen?" I actually said "ewww" out loud when I realized what was written on the door. Gross. Grumpy deserved better. I can't get over this. Unsettling indeed. And they had Snow, Snow! in the Judas seat. At least have it be Granny, then we could have fun imagining what Granny's been doing behind the scenes to betray them throughout the course of the show. I think Hook was right about that lunch special.
  14. Some of this has to be snark, right? I want it to be, so I'll choose to see it that way. Woohoo, that's what we all wanted to see!
  15. One thing I like about the new Henry is that, out of all his many relations, he most closely resembles his maternal grandmother, just like the old Henry. OUaT casting strikes again.
  16. They couldn't even be bothered to pretend to care for over half their regular characters in what might be the last episode for over half the cast. Hugs for all, just like we've been getting for seasons, because a hug makes up for everything they've been through, right? And they had two hours. Think of the finales that have done more with half or even a quarter of that time. This was awful.
  17. A+++ to your entire post. This finale was awful. If it was a series finale it would be even more awful. If it was an arc ending episode in the middle of the season it would be awful. It was just awful. All we get of the Charming Family and Captain Swan at the end is what we've been getting for seasons, a separation then a hug with a bonus wordless montage. No heartwarming conversations. No resolution to any family problems. Nothing. So they ended in a happy place. Well, they ended in a happy place in Season 3B and it was a lot more fulfilling for me than this was. I'd rather have Going Home's ending than this, at least that was interesting and emotional. At least my favorite relationships didn't spend most of the episode apart.
  18. Exactly. Only I prefer Season Three because there were still so many possibilities. Like all that domestic Captain Swan that they never bothered to show us, for instance. As for Snowing, well, their baby's only about five months older, so I suppose there's still time for them to get the moments with him that they lost with Emma. Pity we'll never get to see it. At least Rumbelle fans have a better ending than most of the other season finales have given them.
  19. Prior to season six, I would have liked that look. Now I'm left wondering if it was supposed to be romantic wistfulness on Regina's part.
  20. Wish realm was 28 years, this would be more like 15 (assuming Henry is supposed to be of similar age to Emma in the Pilot, which given the amount of "remember what you liked about the show in season one?" pandering they had in the finale is probably likely. And who knows how many curses they've been put under since then that might have preserved their age, although their brains are probably mush. Snowflake will be like five.
  21. Tinkerbelle appears to be in Neverland when it's "restored," yet there was no mention of her being there when Hook was there a few episodes ago.
  22. I think if it is some sort of alternate reality/wish realm/time travel what have you, it would still be possible to show Emma in the premiere with "our" Henry.
  23. This x1,000,000. Goodness me, this show is dumb. It made no sense. So magic can sense that light is fighting light but it can't sense that one of the fighters is being controlled by dark magic?
