  1. There are a lot of great theories here. The biggest reason I think Flower will be back in some way (wrongly presumed gone, or returns inhabiting another human's body...etc.) is that even though the producers did an interview which I didn't think was super clear, the actress hasn't done one as far as I know. Actors usually do take the opportunity to say goodbye/drum up publicity that they're available for a new role.
  2. I think the Packers could have potentially beat KC as well. Joe Berry's defenses might let future benched QBs put up massive numbers on them but they've done well against Mahomes in the two times they played him (2021 and this year). And GB is the only team to have put up more than 24 points on KC's defense this season. All hypothetical match ups since they couldn't get it done against the 49ers but I had a feeling SF didn't have it in them this year. Yes. But I think the players didn't know because it didn't feel like the coaches felt solid about the rules. It clearly wasn't a priority of the game plan.
  3. I have to admit that I laughed quite loud when Richard Kind's character came out of his camouflage. I should have seen it coming but I didn't. Overall, I quite liked this one. Richard Kind was so good. That's one thing I think this show does quite well and that's get some good guest stars. Richard Kind this week. Jennifer Lewis last week.
  4. After a few years where it seemed like Hallmark might be moving away from as many mysteries as they used to do, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is being rebranded as Hallmark Mystery. Hallmark Drama will now be Hallmark Family. The change is taking place at the end of Feb. They've also announced returning and new mysteries. Hallmark Press Conference They're bringing back the mystery series with Aimee Garcia and Paul Campbell as the troubled married couple who start solving mysteries together. There's more Hannah Swensen and Curious Caterer. There's a new Paris-based one with Brooke D'Orsay and Gilles Marini too.
  5. After last season, I think a few of us speculated/predicted that they'd spend some time in LA based on a few of the hints so it's nice to get a confirmation.
  6. My guess is because sports is one of the few shows that people feel a need to watch live. There likely aren't enough people willing to pay for a bundle to watch their favorite television program live. Some still value that but others already subscribe to a service that lets them watch the show the next day.
  7. I was worried about the new ads on Prime but so far they haven't been very intrusive. Certainly not something I'd pay $3.00 more a month to get rid of. The same amount on Paramount, however, annoys the hell out of me because it's supposed to be ad free. The difference between phones and TV/streaming is that phones were competing with the same service. You didn't need a phone from Verizon and a phone from AT&T. Streamers offer different content so they may be competing for disposable income but they offer enough different things that subscribing to many different ones doesn't necessarily become redundant the way multiple phone lines do. The competition should have happened with cable back in the day except for some reason cable companies were mostly allowed territories.
  8. I recorded Love and Jane this afternoon because I somehow forgot to set the DVR for it last night. All these reviews are making me not want to watch it. Normally, I don't make my decision solely because of the reviews here because I know I've like some movies in the past more than others here. But as someone said above, Hallmark and Austen haven't been a winning combo for me. Last week's movie was better for me because I couldn't identify which book they were trying to recreate if they even were. The festival was just a different kind of festival. Luckily, Hallmark Drama looked like it was running an Alison Sweeney marathon and I rewatched Love On the Air. That's one of my favorite movies she has done for Hallmark. She and Jonathan Scarfe had great chem.
  9. But choosing to recruit instead of kill is the traitors ceding an extra banishment to the faithfuls for the opportunity to restock. The producers nullified that with the twist. The traitors have an advantage in the beginning of the game but as the numbers dwindle, the power should be balancing out between each group. As others have said, we probably aren't getting a full picture of what is happening. Right now, there are two alliances that we know of but I would bet money that there are some Romeo and Juliet pacts between members of the warring alliances. John and CT might have one.
  10. Valentine's Day is here and so are the romcoms. I hope to find one or two I enjoy but I will probably revisit a few that I haven't seen in a while, like Set It Up. I'm happy Glen Powell has a theatrical hit with Anyone But You but I really want him to reteam with Zoey Deutch. Prime is first out of the gate with Upgraded starring Camila Mendes. This was frustrating for me because I liked most of the story and I thought the cast was terrific (Marisa Tomei was a standout!) but they never quite dealt with the fact that the lead is a bit of an entitled sociopath. I guess they were hoping surrounding her with a demanding boss and two people being absolutely terrible to her would make us not dwell on it too much but even though she was likable, she also kind of was not. And I'm not sure how we got to the end we got.
  11. I wasn't a fan of this twist either. It was building up to a showdown of Peter vs. Pavrati and it might not have been Peter who won--but then they throw in the twist. Unlike others here, I don't think they were doing it to save anyone. It just came at the worst possible time. They've elected to do a celeb-only season because they clearly wanted known personalities. But if you're electing to do personalities, you have to trust that they'll be able to bring it without silly twists. After Dan mentions her at the banishment table, people do suspect her. I just think she's so low key that targeting her isn't a priority. I have no problem with him turning down the traitor role. He probably realized it was Parvati's attempt to eventually throw him to the wolves. But yea, the "right" way sentence is a bit silly. Janelle was on a local TV show recently and she mentioned that she would pay attention to where the cameras were. If she was sitting around with a bunch of people and noticed no cameras around, she felt pretty good that no traitors were in her midst. I do think Parvati is looking a little suspicious, especially since she's under fire. But I also think it's also a lot of editing and footage they are working with because they followed her around. As for Kevin, a lot of the questions were simply observational. He doesn't necesarily have to be smart to recognize what he saw where.
  12. But Corday was mad enough at her to sue but years later--bygones.
  13. I don't understand why it would. To spite whom? It'd be a self-inflicted wound. Missy Reeves says "hello." I still think the odds are greater that she does eventually come back than she doesn't. Corday is mad right now but one day an EP will come back claiming they need AZ back and he'll cave.
  14. This episode kind of pushed me into the hating Addison territory when I've mostly been tolerating her. I knew they probably weren't going to move on from the chem-free Ben/Addison pairing but having her agree to marry her boyfriend, decide to elope and then tell him that she actually doesn't want to marry him and needs space just makes her seem awful. The discussion with Dean and Ben felt a bit too on the nose for my ears but maybe it did help people who are less familiar with why people identify as nonbinary understand a bit more. If so, good on QL. Personally, the best scene for me was when Ian realized what was happening. The realization on their face was delightful. And I liked the discussion surrounding less safe ways binding was done in the past to highlight that nonbinary and transgender individuals existed long before they may have been mainstream awareness.
  15. Yes, there probably was some of the Gilded Newport Mysteries that was too modern. I expected that, though, because it is a Hallmark production so I wasn't too bothered. He did try. She kept running away when he made the attempt.
  16. I haven't heard him but apparently he did a recap and admitted to a lot of mistakes he made. For one, he kept thinking about what would be good TV (which is why he recruited Parvati) more than he thought about strategy. But I think his biggest mistake was assuming the non-gamers had no game when the only difference with the non-gamers is that they've never had to play a game before not that they couldn't play a game. I don't know if Parvati will try this but I do think she has a little room to put suspicion on him. He told three people he suspected to be traitors that he had the shield. (And more that he didn't.) The fact that he told two traitors meant that they'd be able to figure out he was pulling a fast one on them and I think that would have led to his death or a death in the unprotected group. And Parvati did realize that. It's just that Dan was so dumb thinking Bergie was a good move.
  17. I liked it too. It's based on a book series that has quite a few installments. For those who watch the Hannah Swensen Murders, it looks like they're recasting Cameron Mathieson with Victor Webster. Cameron had worked about both GAF and Hallmark but I gather the new contract he signed at GAF means no more Hallmark for him. I kind of wish they'd just bring in Victor as a new character. I liked her chemistry with Cameron but in the book series I wouldn't advocate for that if it weren't for the fact that CM is leaving.
  18. He was a bit of a jerk in the beginning but they dropped it. I really like the female lead. I liked her in her previous movie too. Overall, I appreciated that this was about something different--aerial acrobatics--and was pleasantly surprised that it looked like the stars did a lot of the work themselves. The actress was a ballet dancer and the actor actually did aerial acrobatics in Cirque du Soleil. So that was pretty cool.
  19. OK that Love Is Blind reunion show was wild! I'd recommend people watch it even if they never watched the show. It really solidified some feelings I've had. Lukas is a coward and a liar. Emilia might have pushed things forward but it's pretty clear that he wasn't honest with her until she finally pressed the issue weeks after the wedding. Sergio is an absolute liar and I feel so bad for Amanda. It was silly for them to pretend like the Barcelona baby was a vicious rumor ONLY because the baby he was having was with someone in Sweden. I don't believe he didn't know. And after learning about the baby, which she said probably wouldn't have killed the relationship but would have delayed a wedding, she decides to get pregnant too? Oh no no no! I'm not surprised Krisse-ly and Rasmus had some rough patches. I still don't think they're going to make it. I think he's too rigid for Krisse-ly. I just think about the expression on her face when he said that if she had said something Meira said about Oskar, he would have left. And Christofer looked like a serial killer at points on the couch. He reinforced the idea that I don't think he's the "nice guy" claims to be, especially when he called Oskar pussy whipped? I didn't feel bad for him at all that they were rubbing in Catja's happiness with her new boo. And Emilia, just stay away from Chris. Meanwhile, Meira and Oskar turn out to be the lowest drama couple who seem to really appreciate what the other brings to the table. They both looked stunning.
  20. I actually thought this episode was pretty enjoyable and Dakota did a good job. She has this natural comedic timing that I think is intentionally a bit awkward and it works for me. Her slight annoyance at Timberlake's appearance in the monologue and the old video of her rolling her eyes at her dad made me laugh. The "do not destroy" insult fest was perfect. I also love that they did a non-politics cold open. I also felt like no skit went on too long so even if I wasn't loving something, it was over soon and they were on to the next thing.
  21. People sleep with people they've known less than two weeks and don't intend to marry in real world dating all the time. And usually with less discussion than they get in the pods. So if there's an attraction there, I'm not surprised at all they sleep together. It is interesting to see how each version treats intimacy. Japan didn't even hint at it all. Brazil participants are very ready to get down to business in front of the cameras. The US is split between some couples being very open about having sex, some not doing it and others being more coy about it. Sweden participants appeared to be a little more reserved or hidden but it's clear many of them were having sex, even Catja and Christofer even though she wasn't into him. Lucas also slept with Emilia. That I find more surprising than participants who are into each other having sex right after the pods. During the season, Meira started posting explanations and providing more context to the scenes. That makes me suspect they're still together. She could have just been defending herself but she also included her dynamic with Oskar which I'm not sure she'd do if they were separated.
  22. I just think owners don't want to hire directly from failure and being fired is a failure regardless of what came before it. Give it a year or two and suddenly those established coaches look better. Owners/GMs also tend to like trends. Young is trendy.
  23. I do not get the appeal of living somewhere with no shade.
  24. Also suspicious is his "I don't blame you for putting my name up for nomination" which is almost trying to be too cool. I don't get his insistence they go after Bergie. If Peter is trying to play you, wouldn't killing Peter be the smart move? I also don't love that they brought Kate back. I get she became a bit of a sensation during the first season and she was hilarious but she also couldn't stop complaining about the game. I'd rather they offer the ability for someone to be resurrected who had been banished or killed.
