  1. One "benefit" of all-start seasons is that you could make that claim about 100% of the celebs and be right. To regular people playing the game, the money likely matters quite a bit. To the celebs, it probably doesn't matter all that much. They're doing this to be on TV. Peppermint's point is that it's easy to target someone different, under the guise of game play. I doubt anyone consciously decided to go after her because she was a trans woman* but quite a few felt very comfortable targeting her first as "suspicious" and may not actually question why that is. *Although Trishelle, apparently has developed a reputation during The Challenge competitions of targeting minorities.
  2. But was she loyal to them? Or did she just not target them because there were other people she was voting out? I don't think MJ played with strategy or an alliance. If she had, she would have considered that CT and Trishelle were competitive and would want to "win" as much as they could and likely were more loyal to one another than they would be to her. That wouldn't be the case with Kate, Sandra, and an MJ alliance.
  3. This was filmed in NY recently. I think last week or two weeks ago. So it has been months. I don't know his history but he even demonstrated his emotional side in this episode with his trying to make it seem like he was murdered just because the traitors were afraid of him. That certainly didn't sound to me like he respected "the game" aspect of it. Didn't he ask this? I seem to recall people raising their hands that they hadn't suspected Phaedra until Dan threw her name out at the banishment ceremony...although someone (maybe Sandra or Peter?) said she started to get suspicious just before that ceremony because both Phaedra and Parvati said something about Peter being a bloodhound (or something similar) and this person thought it was strange they both used the same terms.
  4. I don't know CT (or really any of the celebs beyond a passing recognition in some cases) but I'd find this easier to believe if it were about anyone but MJ. There's no way I'd believe she'd be able to pull off the traitor role. It feels like she's pure emotion and if Kate's behavior gave things away, then MJ would have had a zillion tells.
  5. I'd agree with this if he hadn't already made so many boneheaded decisions as a traitor that ultimately doomed his own game. I don't think it out of pettiness. I do think he thought he was smarter than he was with his stuff like "looking 10 steps into the future" stuff he was trying to claim in the reunion. I don't buy CT didn't know that Kate was the traitor. I suspect he recognized the numbers.
  6. From what I recall: The episode surprised me a bit more than I thought it would. MJ's reaction when CT and Trishelle voted to hold another vote was gold. Voting out Sandra was so dumb on her part and I didn't feel bad for her one bit. Even if Sandra were a traitor, she should have seen the CT and Trishelle alliance coming. But Trishelle choosing to vote out CT during the first vote legit surprised me.
  7. This was filmed last March/April. There's usually about year between filming and airing on LIB. So this filmed spring 2023. I believe Tampa filmed in Fall 2023 and we'll probably get that season then. Minneapolis is filming now and we'll probably get that in spring 2025. There may be another season filmed elsewhere in the US if they want to up to 3 a year but I'm guessing they'll fill in the breaks with international seasons. I think it's because people can be weird about being friends with someone you hooked up with, especially if they're very platonic now. I think honesty is the best policy but I can see why he'd want to let her control that revelation for future partners for herself instead of having it being shared to everyone. She has shared that there are medical reasons she has been hesitant about the pill. I'm sure they're working towards a solution but I'm guessing she couldn't make an appointment with her doctor within the confines of the filming schedule. I know it takes me a while to get an appointment. What I don't get is why everyone is acting like they're not being intimate. Amy has said that they're 'having fun' which means they could be doing a whole lot of sexual activity that don't involve a pregnancy risk. Overall, this wedding episode was better than many in the past even if it did come down to one couple sharing generational joy vs. another sharing generational pain. I loved Amy and Johnny's families together and Clay's mom delivered the best line to her ex. But I do wonder if Clay is ever going to truly be ready. If they're still dating, I hope she's getting something out of the relationship.
  8. I thought this was a really good episode. It relied on old sitcom troops (fleet week, someone turned on by being talked sternly to, poker) but I thought there were quite a few funny bits.
  9. I know some people didn't like this as much as the first season but I did. I also found it easier to follow. I think the ending hints at a possible S3 but also works as a coda on this season where Helen has decided to give in to trusting Elliott/Eugene even with the lack of proof while proof that there may be more "good guy" about him is burning in the fireplace.

So much going on that Netflix's Drive To Survive will likely never cover because it makes F1 look bad. It's part of the reason I stopped watching the show once the show made me start paying attention to the actual sport. The real drama surpasses the fake docudrama.
  11. I feel like they really want a French winner. Isn't this the third Spring Baking Championship in a row they've had a French contestant? But otherwise, it was a solid showing and some very impressive contestants. I probably would have sent the guy home but alas.
  12. I'm shocked. I thought for sure they'd try to drag it out an extra week.
  13. True, but most of the modern weight loss medications that people are having so much success with are GLP-1 receptor agonists. Weight Watchers offers two. She might be on a different one but still aligned with the philosophy. Plus, I'm guessing she doesn't want to specifically mention a brand as that'd constitute an endorsement. Weight Watchers doesn't own drug companies. They're just willing to prescribe.
  14. I'd actually call Justin the poor man's Glen. Glen can actually act.
  15. This has been known about the House Hunters shows for years and I'm always a little surprised when people get upset by it as some people were in those comments. You still get to follow along and guess which house they chose. And experience the house porn these shows provide. Or maybe that's the reason I watch it. I do think at one time they might have followed an actual house hunting experience because there would be a reveal at the end that they didn't end up buying any of the houses. Now that was a frustrating viewing experience.
  16. As mentioned above, using weight loss drugs isn't against the company's mission. They changed their branding a few years ago to focus on wellness over weight loss. They also purchased an online clinic a year ago that prescribes weight loss medication they make available to their members for an additional cost. And I do think Weight Watchers helped her. Historically, she has been able to lose weight on diets. She just hasn't been able to maintain and that's why she claims she recently went on the drug. Her leaving has caused the stock to tumble. I think they'd still rather have her.
  17. It tends to mean that but I think she specified that it was after a period which doesn't make think of hitting the enter bar twice but the space bar twice. The one thing I don't recall being mentioned is that a lot of programs these days will automatically get rid of the double space after a period if you put it in. (I tested and this forum leaves them in if you do two spaces after a period so maybe that's not as universal as I thought.)
  18. Alex is still MIA. The pizza episode was somewhat interesting. GZ's bianca pizza inspired me to make one as well--not with the same toppings (ick to clams--I just did veggies). But I did take offense to the pickle pizza at the end of the episode. I don't like pickles so I would not like a pickle pizza but the pickle pizza they had at the episode doesn't look like any pickle pizza I know. It looks like their version was a regular red sauce based pizza with large slices of pickle on top. The pickle pizzas I know have a white base, usually a garlicly/dill cream sauce and are topped with thinly slides dill pickles. Again, not my thing but I imagine it goes better than hunks of pickled cucumber on top of tomato sauce.
  19. Phaedra's game play was all about coasting which is actually pretty smart. She coasted on her connections to the other housewives and she coasted on the fact her fellow traitors were 100% more into playing the game than she was. She basically got to mostly chill while the other gave themselves away. But I get Kate's irritation with her. And she might have been better off recruiting someone like CT or Trishelle. Both of them strike me as competitive and both of them likely would have had no problem taking the lead in strategy--and if she's lucky, it might have been to the point that they started acting suspicious. I might have gone with Trishelle because she would have had to make the biggest pivot from traitor hunting to not. I think there was more urgency during last year's season but it's the weakest part of the show, for sure. I think I even felt that way during the international versions I saw. There's nothing intriguing about them, other than the shield, unlike The Mole. It'll protect her during the final (presumably) kill.
  20. I liked the first episode even though I was kind of sleepy so I didn't pay as close attention as I normally would. I was a bit disappointed that it came down to a double space after the period but it's the first episode. I am curious about whether or not the Kings will build out this show into more of an ensemble the way they did with the previous shows I've seen. They're certainly setting up more of an arc with the phone call at the end. I also found it curious they mentioned Cary Argos twice. Cary never appeared on The Good Fight but it makes me wonder if they're setting it up for us to possibly see him in this. Did the preview at the end say the next episode is April 4th? I know next week is the State of the Union so no show but there's a week in between before March Madness begins. I think it's strange to debut the show with no intent to follow with another for over a month.
  21. She's brutally competent but highly quirky. She was the lawyer the lawyers of those shows brought in if they needed additional assistance but she was also comic relief. She's not someone I would have thought to build a show around because of that quirkiness level. That said, it's all going to depend on who they surround her with in terms of the guest cast.
  22. Oh I have no doubt. I've been in customer service too. And sometimes "bad customer service" isn't about the rep but the general company philosophy by not allowing things to happen or understaffing call centers. But I don't think my experience is because of rude customers. I wasn't rude. That's why it's so frustrating. If the reps just told me "we can't do that" but none of them have. They all say they can and then they don't. Even managers.
  23. I don't think he's supposed to be a great leader yet in Dune Part I. That doesn't mean they stop being popular though. The Beatles are still revered. Leo Dicaprio keeps working even though he's out of his glowy phase.
  24. You all are singing my song. I lost a parent last year and so we want to cancel something they subscribed to. The company told us that they could do it and that they'd send us what we needed--but they only ever send part of what we need. And we've tried multiple times. Each time it's "we're so sorry, we'll get right on that" only to end up in the same situation. I keep saying that it's worse than planning the funeral.
  25. I don't love this show enough to listen to BTS podcasts but I do appreciate that there are a few players willing to put out more details--even if it's frustrating because many times the players are playing smarter than the edits and I prefer watching smart play. So thanks to everyone who brings over those BTS tidbits.
