  1. Brooke's husband sounded like an idiot. Even Arnold said he would've agreed to posing behind Brooke on the motorcycle so what does that tell you? I think she should've been fired for letting her husband control and change the concept of the photo that the team already had in place. It didn't make sense to fire Kyle based on concepts from past tasks when ultimately, the team lost by a small margin based on Brooke's photo alone. In terms of the second task, I kind of felt bad for Jon because it was obvious that Ricky sent him to Omaha to present the chocolate to Warren Buffett just to get him out of the way. However, I do agree with him being fired because he raised the least amount of money in a fund raising challenge. If I had to choose who will be the final two right now, I would predict that it'll be Boy George and Carson. I'm rooting for them because I like them both very much, they're strong competitors, and I would be happy with either one winning.
  2. That's interesting. I haven't watched Keeping Up with the Kardashians for a really long time now and as soon as Wendy said that someone would be coming out as gay on the show, I couldn't figure out who that could be and I haven't heard about those rumors about Kendall. Lol, "the fetus Tyga" made me crack up. Nancy Grace did seem kind of all over the place today, but she was more likeable than she was on her HLN show.
  3. I love the Bite Beauty lipsticks! I have two of the holiday duos from Sephora and I find myself using them all the time. They're really creamy so perhaps, not very long-lasting, but they're very moisturizing, pigmented, and flattering.
  4. I agree with CoryAnne getting the best photo this week, but honestly, the avant garde dress that she ended up getting helped her a lot. Kyle just seemed kind of over the competition this week. I like her edginess so I hope she does better next week, although according to the preview, it seems like she's more interested in pursuing other things, a.k.a. Marissa, lol. I also like Krislian because she seems nice. Although she does tend to wear sexy clothes, she just naturally exudes sexiness to me without trying. I'm surprised that she stayed another week though because the judges don't seem to like her all that much especially Rita, but her photo was betters than Giah's. The best moment of the episode for me was Drew's mini rant to Courtney during panel. She has so much potential, but her personality and behavior don't help her. She's basically her own worst enemy at this point because if she just focused on modeling and not complaining, she would be a lot more likeable. I think she needed to hear what he said to her and we'll just have to wait and see if she changes.
  5. My holy grail beauty product would have to be the Smith's strawberry lip balm. I bought it at Sephora last year and I'm almost done with it. I put it on every night before bed and I wake up with my lips being really soft. Another plus is that the scent is nice and not strong at all.
  6. I love eyeshadow, although I do tend to use more neutral colors so I only have two small palettes from Tarte and Too Faced. I prefer palettes to single shadows, but I did recently treat myself to two single shadows from the Selena MAC collection and I'm very happy with them.
  7. Completely agree on Brooke Burke. I feel like she's coasting by and enjoying it so I'm interested to see how she'll do when she steps up as Project Manager. I also am not liking Lisa because she doesn't seem like a team player to me. She's always ready to throw people under the bus and pats herself on the back concerning her directing skills when she's messed that up twice already. I feel like she could've been eliminated tonight had Snooki joined Porscha in making a case against her, but Snooki simply wasn't cut out for this show and basically eliminated herself.
  8. I think that Paige should've been called first, but Krislian's photos were great too. I kind of felt bad that the judges have been so hard on her, but if anything, this week, it seemed to me that their comments actually helped her because she didn't rely on being sexy and actually looked more editorial. Last week, I was questioning why the rest of the girls were complaining so much about Courtney, but after this episode, I get it. She has an interesting look and is probably the front-runner at this point, but she whines way too much. She seems to like attention and having people feel sorry for her. However, I don't condone some of the girls talking about karma when she fell down the stairs. With her back, she could've been seriously hurt.
  9. I'm glad that Laurence is working and doing well after the show ended. She's just awesome and I love how even though she went through something tough in her life, she didn't constantly remind us about it every week like other reality show contestants do. She really didn't care what Jenny had to say about her designs, lol. I also liked seeing Roberi and Rik. I still wish Roberi had won, but hopefully, he'll be on a future season of All-Stars and pull the win there. Natalia, Cornelius, and Dexter are just catty and the bad thing is that they're unaware of it.
  10. I actually enjoyed the show and did not miss Donald Trump at all. I hate that they cut down the tasks to an hour each as opposed to the usual two though because I feel like we miss out on a lot. On the first task, I was rooting for the men's team to win and I was happy that they did. I loved that the men didn't immediately give up because it had to do with makeup, which for the most part, is used by women. Instead, they actually took the time to research the products and learn how to apply them. It showed a lot of respect for the task and especially to Tyra Banks, the creator of the makeup line. By the way, it was weird seeing Tyra on this show and not America's Next Top Model since she's no longer the host, but it was nice at the same time because we got to see a different side to her. On the second task, I thought that the women were going to take it based on the Trident executives' comments so I was surprised that the men did, although I did like their song and video. I felt that Carnie made a major mistake bringing in Snooki and Lisa with her to the boardroom because the Trident executives didn't like the concept of the video which was Kyle's idea.
  11. I'm not mad that Erin won, but I'm surprised that she did. Her clothes came off looking very junior and that awful banana print was very unappealing. After the judges' critique, I was positive she would get fourth place, not come out as the winner! I felt bad for Roberi because it showed that he really wanted to win. His collection was the best in my opinion although I liked Rik's and Laurence's as well. As a final thought, I hope Heidi burns those hooker space boots she wore. Those things were so damn distracting!
  12. I don't have anything against Rita Ora, but I think Ashley Graham would've been a better pick to be the host of ANTM. She has a lot of personality and is actually a model. I agree that Cherish shouldn't have come on the show in the first place if she didn't want her hair to be dyed, but I would be pissed too if I just got my hair dyed and then got eliminated when I didn't want to dye it at all. I love India's hair now. The color is crazy, but beautiful and the way her hair was cut is really flattering. I don't exactly know why most of the girls seem to hate Courtney. She doesn't seem all that bad to me, but I don't know if that's just due to editing.
  13. I loved seeing the contestants on GMA today, especially Laurie who is just adorable. There wa a cute moment when Joe Jonas came over and danced with her for a bit while he sang. I thought it was cool. She and Val are the sole reasons why I might consider going to see the tour. I bet it would be a great experience!
  14. I disagree with the notion that just because you're a gymnast, you're automatically going to win. Let's look at the gymnasts besides Laurie who've competed on the show in the past. Shawn Johnson won season 8, but not season 15. (P.S. I'm still pissed about that outcome) Aly Raisman finished in fourth and Nastia Liukin finished in fourth as well. In my opinion, yes, you have advantages coming in as a gymnast, but like most of the contestants, they don't come in knowing ballroom. I also think there has to be something else that makes people want to vote for you. Besides being a great dancer, Laurie is charismatic, very likeable, and a great performer. Aly didn't have musicality and as beautiful as Nastia's lines were, she lacked that performance aspect and came off as having a cold personality. Ultimately, neither of them won. I like Laurie and I voted for her because I'm a fan of her from gymnastics and I loved her on DWTS. I don't think the fix was in for her. As positive as the judges' critiques were for Laurie most of the time, it always seemed to me that they leaned more towards James anyways, especially Carrie Ann and Julianne.
  15. Not to mention the fact that it was the same exact dance he had already done with his partner, Amber Rose. I don't know why he didn't just repeat it with her.
  16. I'm ecstatic that Laurie and Val won the mirrorball trophy! I was nervous for a second there too that James would take it. As a gymnastics fan, Laurie has been my favorite from day one and her journey on DWTS was amazing to watch. She seems like such a lovely young lady and I couldn't be happier for her. Congratulations to Val on his second win. I may just go see them on the tour when it hits New York. Kudos to Calvin and James for making it to the finale. Overall, it was a great season. I couldn't keep myself from laughing during Maureen's dance and how excited she was to dance with all those guys. It kind of reminded me of a sweet 16 dance.
  17. RedFiat, tell us how you really feel about Laurie's dances tonight!
  18. I thought it was a pretty "meh" runway overall although I weirdly liked Rik's look. Mah-Jing's wasn't bad and I can't say I disagree with Cornelius' win, but it wasn't exactly anything exciting especially with the bland color as the base and the random pieces of color here and there on the dress. Erin seems out of ideas. I think that it was time for Nathalia to be eliminated, perhaps a week overdue. She didn't seem like she had anything else to offer and although Rik was happy to help, at this point of the competition, nobody should be relying on anybody else to help them. Dexter's elimination was more surprising to me, only because I wasn't expecting the judges to do a double elimination and then I remembered, they hadn't done one yet.
  19. I think that Laurie, Calvin, and James are the right final 3 and deserved to get to the end. My pick for the win is Laurie. She performs everything with such precision and power and I loved that Val didn't rely solely on her gymnastics. He managed to choreograph great dances for her that allowed her to show a sense of maturity while still being youthful and age-appropriate. She's truly been such a joy to watch and her freestyle reflected just that. I was happy just watching her and it did make me feel like a kid again. I was kind of afraid that Val would drop the ball with the freestyle because although I liked what he did in the past with Rumer, I didn't like his freestyle with Zendaya or Kelly Monaco so I'm glad he actually delivered for Laurie. I loved their Paso and I thought they were underscored. I also loved Calvin's freestyle. It was so much fun and entertaining. Lindsay is a great choreographer and I'm happy that the show gave her another chance to prove herself as a pro after going back to the troupe. I thought Jana and Gleb took the safe route with a contemporary which I really wish would stop being done as a freestyle and just as a dance in general on the show. It didn't surprise especially since they just did a contemporary with Laurie and Val a few shows back. James and Sharna's freestyle was a contemporary as well, but I thought it was much better than Jana and Gleb's. I'm rooting for Laurie, but I wouldn't be surprised if James wins in the end. Can't say I won't be disappointed with that result though, but James is a good dancer and I knew he would make it to the final since week 1 along with Laurie.
  20. I usually don't cry when I watch tv shows or movies, but Laurie's grandmother's passing really got to me. I think we can all relate to how she must've been feeling if you've experienced the loss of a loved one. That being said, kudos to Laurie for keeping it together and delivering such a beautiful foxtrot. Her samba trio with Val and Maks was pretty good too. I'm so happy she's in the finals and I hope she ends up winning, but I know James has a very good chance of winning instead. I really enjoyed Calvin's salsa trio with Witney and Lindsay. It was a lot of fun and for a minute there, I was afraid he would be eliminated because I think he deserves to be in the finals. Terra and Sasha were a lovely partnership. I think Sasha was the perfect partner for her and managed to choreograph dances that suited her.
  21. Laurie continues to amaze me. Whenever I think she's going to shy away from a challenge such as acting the sexy part, she completely owns it. I'm 10 years older than her and I wish I had at least half the confidence she has! Val and Laurie's AT was my favorite dance of the night. It was beautifully done and really showed off Laurie's technique and great lines. Their contemporary with Jana and Gleb was alright to me, but honestly, that's only because I'm over contemporary on this show. Lol, Derek couldn't hide his happiness at finally being eliminated.
  22. I wish I could buy Rik's coat! It's totally my style and I would wear it right away. Overall, the blue team deserved the win. I loved their use of plaid along with the blue and white. I don't think Team Red was all that bad, just too much red all around. It would've been better if they had incorporated another color like black and used different shades of red. I'm glad Team Neutrals worked it out. I didn't like Nathalia's attitude towards Mah-jing at the beginning though.
  23. I went to Universal Studios a few months ago and I absolutely loved it, especially the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! For a huge Harry Potter fan such as myself, it was incredible. Anyways, I would have loved to have seen more footage of the designers at Universal and wish the challenge would've been to design an outfit based on any part of the park that the designers liked instead of just being limited to the King Kong ride. I don't really have a favorite designer this season, although I do like Laurence's work except for those drop crotch pants she made because I don't like those type of unflattering pants at all. I think Erin relies too much on embroidery and this week, her design, especially the shorts, was awful. The judges do seem to like her though so I don't think she's going home anytime soon.
  24. It's been a long time since I've enjoyed an episode of SNL and it all pretty much has to do with Tom Hanks. I just love the guy. He seems like such an all-around nice guy, is extremely talented, and funny. "Black Jeopardy" was hilarious and my favorite sketch of the night. I also enjoyed a "Girl's Halloween." All in all, it was a great episode.
  25. Eh, I wasn't really impressed with either one of the team dances to be honest. Team Past was kind of boring, but I'll admit I don't like that type of music or dance. Team Future had sync issues and poor Marilu fell. Dare I say Derek seemed uninspired for this team dance? He usually does well. The same goes for Val. I felt bad for Terra. I'm sure Derek didn't mean to make her feel bad, but I'm glad Val stepped in and would ask her how she was doing every so often. I really liked her dance with Sasha and I think he's doing a great job with her this season.
