  1. It actually got delayed in certain markets--but only by about 6 minutes, I think. CBS Tweeted a relatively small list of places where programming was delayed due to football because they aired games which went longer than others CBS aired elsewhere. My hometown wasn't 1 of them though--we had the Colts game followed by the Bears game & the Bears game ended before 7:30 Eastern, when 60 Minutes was supposed to air in the Eastern Time Zone.
  2. I've had this Pet Peeve for a long time, but I never remember it when I'm here. I'm watching something on Food Network & that reminded me of it, because someone did it on the show I'm watching. I cannot stand when someone says the word "bagels" as if it's actually pronounced "begels" (or they say any other word with a long A sound & substitute an "EH" sound for the long A--I'm pretty sure there are other words I've heard people do this with, but the example given was in the show I'm watching). Is it really that hard to pronounce a long A, as opposed to an "EH" sound?
  3. Variety has compiled & published/Tweeted a list of the people they call The Gotham 60: Influential New Yorkers in Entertainment and Media. Keri & Matthew are on that list, as a "Power Couple". http://variety.com/gallery/new-yorkers-who-made-an-impact-variety-picks-the-gotham-60/#!35/power-couple-keri-russell-and-matthew-rhys/
  4. My mistake. Thanks for the correction. I guess I somehow got Celebrity Apprentice, which Michael Andretti *was* on, confused with DWTS. Or I got my Michaels confused.
  5. Wasn't it actually Michael Andretti & not Michael Waltrip?
  6. Well, unless she & Tony have somehow been practicing in Atlanta & filming that to use somehow, she won't even have any rehearsal footage--dress (which is what Melissa used that time) or otherwise. Honestly, I think she's deluding herself about being able to come back. Unless she can arrange to fly privately, with onboard medical assistance, I don't see how she'd be medically cleared to fly commercially for the 3 1/2 hours it usually takes for the ATL-LAX trip nonstop, for fear she'd develop other/worse clots, & perhaps have a more major stroke, as I said last post. Not even if she's taking blood thinners or other meds to hopefully prevent further clots. Not to mention, she & Tony will have missed camera blocking in the "ballroom"/studio, for the dance they're supposed to do, which I think is normally done on Sunday (or at least over the weekend before the performance show). But I agree (for the most part--the death of Marie Osmond's father when she was on is a different situation, to me). If you have a medical reason for not continuing, you should gracefully withdraw & not leave your partner, producers, fellow cast, or audience hanging as to whether or not you can perform. And you shouldn't be stubborn enough to endanger yourself in trying to return. It's much easier to replace a pro during a season--like when Julianne had to have an appendectomy during 1 of her pro seasons & was replaced for 2-3 weeks by another pro, when Derek wrecked his ankle/knee/leg last season & was replaced/helped by Sasha, or when Peta was replaced by Allison this season due to her ankle injury/surgery. Not to mention others I may be forgetting. It's easy to replace a pro midseason, if need be; not to replace 1 of the celebs.
  7. It looks like Zoey had a tea party to celebrate her big 4-point-0 birthday--or so Jen says on Instagram, where she posted a couple of new pics (& she Tweeted the links on her Twitter). This appears to be a "pretend" tea party, involving Will, a couple of Zoey's dolls, & "pretend" food & tea. https://instagram.com/p/8Jb4oiq-ZM/ But this pic, with just Zoey (looking like "Mom, do you REALLY need to take a picture NOW? I'm busy!"), appears to be a REAL tea party--it looks like real food by Zoey. And, as 1 of the Instagram commenters pointed out, it looks as if they might be filming now (apparently 1 of the people in the background seems to be holding a camera that could be used for TV filming, not just home videos). https://instagram.com/p/8JcZyoK-am/
  8. I didn't get it until today (it was just finally Re-Tweeted by a Twitter I follow), but Annet Mahendru posted to her Twitter 4 days ago (probably meaning Wednesday, or maybe Thursday) that she just got the 1st script for S4. So I guess they'll be starting production sooner rather than later, if the scripts are beginning to go out to the cast.
  9. Kim released a statement from home (as in Atlanta), which was just posted to Twitter by People magazine in about the last 20 minutes, saying she hopes to continue on DWTS. http://www.people.com/people/mobile/article/0,,20955734,00.html?xid=socialflow_twitter_peoplemag But if she's still in Atlanta, how's she supposed to do that--unless they arrange a remote from Atlanta during the show & the Judges score her that way? Or the other thing I was trying to remember... Marie Osmond's father died during her season on the show. Did she miss a week or 2 after that happened, or not? If she did, perhaps Kim could sit out this week & then return next week, if she's not eliminated since the eliminations are based on the previous week's at least Judges' scores (if not also the other voting methods). I'm not a Kim fan. I'm just throwing this stuff out there since she's saying she hopes to be back, but I can't figure out a completely logical way for that to happen if, like, she can't fly 3 1/2 hours, ATL-LAX for fear of getting more, & more serious, blood clots/having a more serious stroke than a TIA (& yes, I know TIAs are serious in their own right... My father's a retired neurosurgeon [surgery mainly on the brain/back/neck, but also on the wrists--for carpal tunnel syndrome type issues--& the nervous system]).
  10. The 19-year-old son of Eddie Montgomery, half of the country music duo Montgomery Gentry, died today. http://www.ew.com/article/2015/09/27/montgomery-gentry-eddie-montgomery-son-hunter-dead?hootPostID=c312d558e507dc9554fce1d9ca0681df

  12. Kenny Rogers to retire from music following World Tour planned for 2016. http://www.ew.com/article/2015/09/25/kenny-rogers-retire
  13. like in the pilot. She had a line in the pilot about how rough the last years had been, which by using SS' declaration in a few Brady books (which, um...I have a lot of), I interpret as her first husband being a scumbag who left her and the girls, which is why Mike adopted them and they referred to him as Dad (doesn't explain why the boys completely rejected their late mother's memory and had Carol adopt them, though, not to mention calling her Mom). Thanks for the correction. It's appreciated.
  14. They never mentioned first names for either Carol's first husband, or Mike's first wife--who we saw a picture of in the Pilot; I think there was a discussion of whether Carol would be offended if the boys kept it "visible" since it was their birth Mom/Mike's first wife & Carol was their new Mom by virtue of marrying their Dad & adopting them. But I think they at least mentioned what I took to be Carol's maiden name before her first marriage; I seem to remember Carol's parents were at the wedding, & Mike (I think it was) referred to them as "Mr. & Mrs. Martin". So at 1 point, Carol's last name was apparently "Martin". But it doesn't sound like that was Marcia, Jan, & Cindy's last name at birth. Grandparents may have been scarce, but there was at least 1 episode where Florence Henderson & Robert Reed did double duty playing elderly relatives of Mike & Carol's (of the "Grand" or "Great" family branch) who were visiting at the same time, or something, &--despite being total opposites--fell in love & eloped.
  15. Then it's either something involving all mobile devices (& yeah, I get a tablet/iPad isn't necessarily a mobile device), or just Apple devices (which BLOWS, if so). They posted another little Twitter video today & I couldn't even get that to work (the first time that's happened).
  16. I think 1 of the obits I read for Jack Larson mentioned he was on SVU. But I'm not completely positive.
  17. A reboot of The A-Team is apparently in development. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/a-team-becomes-latest-tv-827015
  18. I know! I can't believe the Christmas special will be 50 years old, & the comic strip *65* years old, this year. This isn't the 1st stamp/set of stamps involving Peanuts though--back in the days when US First Class postage was 34 cents, they at least had a stamp of Snoopy as the World War I Flying Ace on top of his doghouse, which doubled as his Sopwith Camel aircraft; I saw a pic of it looking for the link to the new stamps info. Getting back on track, I'm really looking forward to the new movie. I like the "look" of it, from the trailers & stuff I've found online--it doesn't look like a "classic" animated movie, but I don't necessarily think it looks like a Disney/Pixar film either. But the "Peanutize Me" promotional site's driving me crazy! I really wanna "Peanutize" myself, but I can't get past the "Loading" screen. I think it doesn't work on mobile devices. At least not on an iPhone 4s, darn it (I've been using my phone's Internet for about a year, because I've been stuck in bed due to a long-term illness involving mobility issues & it's easier due to issues of space & other things--it's easier to hold my phone than to try to use my laptop with the health issues I'm having, because it's very hard to sit up now & I don't really have anyone who can easily help me into that position, & there's not enough room in the bed to use the laptop lying down). Oh well...
  19. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bradley is in a relationship with 1 of his co-stars from Transparent, & they've never even shared a scene in the show (yet). http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/transparent-stars-find-love-826283?utm_source=twitter Also, for those who might want to see Bradley in his Emmy-winning Transparent role but who don't want to have to get an Amazon Prime membership to do it, iTunes now has the 1st season eps available. Bradley is in Ep 3--Rollin'; 4--Moppa; 6--The Wilderness & 8--Best New Girl (there are 10 eps in the 1st season). Deputy Deputy CoS: I'll have to re-read the article before I give my opinion on the chosen eps. But I'm definitely glad In Excelsis Deo & ITSOTG (which I remember off the top of my head) made the list.
  20. Yeah. Thanks to that bad surgery, I think Joan Van Ark pretty much ended her career--except for Dallas or Knots Landing reunions, perhaps. Sheesh. Another case of bad surgery is/was Elvis Presley's ex-wife, Priscilla--who was a really beautiful woman who I thought didn't need any work, before she started messing with herself. She had a real "goth" look after her work, & I think I read someplace she actually somehow ended up being worked on by 1 of those really bad doctors who were found to be using materials for fillers, & whatever, that the FDA didn't approve for such use & which had NO business being put into a person's body... Which is at least partly why she looked so bad. After she was on Dancing with the Stars awhile back, I think she (like Kenny Rogers also supposedly did) went & had/tried to have the less than stellar original work fixed, to the extent it could be. Presumably by a better doctor than the original. I think she looks at least a little better than she did before, though not quite as beautiful as she did back when she was doing the original Dallas.
  21. 10 "Charlie Brown Christmas Forever" stamps will be released by the US Postal Service at the beginning of October, to mark the anniversary of both the TV special's initial airing on CBS, 50 years ago (that still boggles my mind), and the anniversary of the Peanuts comic strip. Each of the new stamps will show a different scene from the TV special. https://about.usps.com/news/national-releases/2015/pr15_051.htm
  22. According to this 2012 article posted to ESPN's website, Peyton has a Papa Johns franchise consisting of 21 Denver-area stores. It's not clear if the franchise was part of the compensation for his commercial endorsement deal or if he paid for it. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8553736/peyton-manning-invests-21-denver-papa-john-pizza-shops
  23. Someone started an account on Twitter for the Pizza Rat (there are now at least a couple of them). That's probably what the Twitter reference was.
  24. ari333: Carlos was in a "boy band", Big Time Rush, which I think also had a show on Disney Channel or Nickelodeon, 1 of the kid-oriented TV channels on cable/satellite. He's married to Alexa, who was a child star under her maiden name, Alexa Vega. Most recently, she's probably best known for being in the Spy Kids movies (also done as Alexa Vega). enthus-pro: I'm assuming you meant there was a sense of romance between Mark & Alexa's "characters" in the dance, as opposed to the real people? Alexa appears to be *very* married to her husband--& fellow competitor this season--Carlos.
  25. I think "From Russia with Love" is Gary's nickname, pet name, whatever, for Anna--anyway, it's something he calls her. I remember him using it on Monday's show too.
