  3. Sonny Geraci, frontman for the bands The Outsiders & Climax (I think they were aka Climax Blues Band)--the latter band was best known for the song Precious and Few--dead at age 69. http://bestclassicbands.com/sonny-geraci-obituary-2-5-17/
  4. The Mothership runs on TNT nonstop (well, there are commercials) until 6PM Eastern/5PM Central Time Today. Gotta love Super Bowl Sunday marathons for people who aren't football fans!
  5. The WWE, or whatever, coverage isn't why they changed networks. It was time to renegotiate the broadcast contract & Fox Sports 1 won this time. I think they have the broadcast rights for the next 10 years, & I'm 99.9% sure I remember them mentioning the change during last year's show. Here's the press release, which is actually from 2015 (almost 2 years ago now), announcing the change in broadcast networks. http://www.foxsports.com/presspass/latestnews/2015/07/28/fox-sports-reaches-agreement-with-westminster-kennel-club-to-bri
  6. I linked to an article, in the Spoilers & Speculation thread, which talks about the plot (it's similar to, but slightly different from, the S1 "bad guys using a fake tsunami to distract from a real crime they're perpetrating" plot--only this time a real earthquake/the aftermath of 1 replaces the fake tsunami) & which characters will be involved in the crossover (Mac & Jack from MacGyver, & H50's Chin, Kono, & Kamekona--hence the pic of Taylor Wily by a MacGyver director's chair seen in your post). The thing about the phrase "Five-0" is, unless Riley also said "Hawaii" or mentioned any of the characters, which I don't remember, that could've been about any cops anywhere; not just our Hawaiian task force. During the original H5O, the phrase "Five-O/Five-0" came to be used in real life to refer to all cops, in general. I haven't heard Steve, or anyone else on H50, make any MacGyver-related references (somebody "MacGyvering" their way out of a situation, references to characters in the reboot or to the Phoenix Foundation, etc.) at any point this season (which is when it would only be relevant since that reboot only started this season). As I said in the post with the article I'm a little unclear as to whether this is a 2-part crossover, like the 1 with NCIS: Los Angeles in S2, or if it's just an episode of MacGyver with the H50 characters/actors as guest stars on that show. The article I linked to just mentions the story being in a MacGyver ep, & the pic of Taylor Wily was taken on their set (which is in Atlanta). But the article also says there will be filming in both Atlanta & Honolulu.
  7. Starting this year, I think, it's airing (the whole thing) on the FS1 cable network instead of the USA/CNBC combo as in the past. Just an FYI. And I'm rooting for the Yorkshire Terrier.
  8. According to Entertainment Weekly, there will be a MacGyver/H50 crossover, which is scheduled to air on March 10th. It sounds a little confusing as to whether it'll be 2 parts &/or characters from each show will crossover to the other show (like the H50/NCIS LA crossover back in H50 S2), or if it's just 1 ep & only 1 set of characters actually crosses over to the other show; but it says there will be filming in both Atlanta (where they film MacGyver) & H50's home base of Honolulu. I'm thinking the story involves both shows, but only characters from 1 show are in both eps. The article says the characters involved are Mac & Jack from MacGyver & Chin, Kono, & Kamekona from H50, & that Mac & Jack go to Hawaii to work on a case (the plot of which is in the linked article) with Chin & Kono. http://ew.com/tv/2017/02/03/hawaii-five-0-macgyver-crossover/
  9. From The Hollywood Reporter: An interview with Tommy Schlamme where, among other things, he talks about why now is a good time for a TWW reboot. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/tv-helmer-tommy-schlamme-why-is-a-good-time-a-west-wing-reboot-970260?utm_source=twitter
  10. If the QVC demographic is DWTS fans, that should've worked for Carson. He's done the show as a celeb contestant.
  11. She was married to a man named Garth Fisher; he's the father of at least her 2 oldest daughters (current husband David Charvet is the father of her son & at least her youngest daughter--I think Brooke has 2 kids with each husband). As I remember he's a plastic surgeon in the LA area & E! does or did a reality show about his practice. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brooke_Burke
  12. I think she is/was hosting a lifestyle type show on a TV streaming network. She's also been doing at least commercials (not sure about print ads) for Skechers shoes.

  14. Asia frontman John Wetton dead at age 67, from colon cancer. http://extratv.com/2017/01/31/asia-frontman-john-wetton-dead-at-67/
  15. The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel ran a marathon of some of the Perry Mason movies from 9AM Eastern yesterday morning until 1AM Eastern this morning. I don't know if it was preplanned, so the timing was an interesting coincidence what with Barbara Hale's death on Friday, or if it was aired because of her death. But the last movie they aired was the 1 which ended with this scene described above--I think it had to do with Perry & Ken being in a fishing tournament, or simply going fishing, when they got the call to defend the accused (who happened to be a friend of Perry's, of course, as was the deceased), & Della had been ticked off because they wouldn't let her go with them. The end scene was the resumption of the trip after the trial. Anyway, the movie it's in is The Case of the Skin Deep Scandal, where Morgan Fairchild played a cosmetics queen who supposedly invented a face cream which would make you look at least 20 years younger (she was claiming to be in her 60's to sell the cream but was really 40) & her character was the victim.
  16. Black Sabbath keyboardist Geoff Nicholls dead at age 68 from lung cancer. http://ew.com/music/2017/01/28/geoff-nicholls-dead-black-sabbath-keyboardist-dies-68/?xid=entertainment-weekly_socialflow_twitter
  17. Ken was the character name--Ken Malansky. Ken was Perry's investigator/investigator for the lawyer characters subbing for Perry in the TV movies shot after Raymond Burr's death through the end of the movie series. But Ken also went to law school as the movies progressed (at least 1 movie involved the murder of 1 of his law school classmates with Ken & 1 or more other classmates as suspects in the murder), though I can't remember if he ever actually graduated or not. Ken was played by William R. (Formerly Billy) Moses, who had been best known before that as the son of Susan Sullivan & Robert Foxworth's characters in Falcon Crest. I think his character name there was Cole Gioberti. And in real life, William was once married to actress Tracy Nelson, daughter of Rick, niece of David, & granddaughter of Ozzie & Harriet. She & William had a daughter, Remington (Remi). Tracy also appeared in at least 1 of the Perry Mason movies with her then-husband.
  18. Among other roles, William Katt also co-starred in the Perry Mason revival movies from 1985-1988, playing Perry's investigator, Paul Drake Jr., who was supposed to have been the son of the Paul Drake character from the original show.
  19. Mannix star Mike Connors dead at age 91. He had been diagnosed with leukemia a week ago. http://variety.com/2017/tv/news/mike-connors-dead-dies-joe-mannix-1201971140/
  20. Dirty Dancing Havana Nights was, as I remember, a sequel or prequel to the original film, not a remake of it (the original was set in the Catskill mountains in the US). On the other hand, ABC is doing an actual 3-hour long remake. It's supposed to air in May, but the airdate's different depending on the source. Playbill says it's airing May 24th; the Wikipedia page for the show says May 27th.
  21. Yes, Timothy Hutton won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for Ordinary People.
