  1. Didn't they technically do that in the ep where Aisha Tyler played Savannah, the Oprah-like TV talk show hostess who was spending a week doing her show on location in Honolulu & who got to end her week by doing a ride along for a day with the team?
  2. Not only is Ryan a Producer, he's an Executive Producer just like Kelly is--& presumably there's actual clout behind his title as opposed to it just being a contractual perk in name only. I read so much stuff about Ryan becoming the new co-host that I forgot where I read this, but it appears the "Executive Producer" credit is a relatively standard part of his contract where that post is applicable according to 1 of the sources I read. I also remember reading, back when he did the short-lived TV version of his radio show (that's basically what it was... his radio show translated to TV), he'd always wanted to do a TV talk show format; so maybe it's not all that surprising he got this gig. At least 1 of his other jobs--the New Year's Rockin' Eve gig--is only seasonal compared to the rest. Really, though, his E! Red Carpet hosting gigs at the Grammys, Emmys, & Oscars, are "seasonal" gigs too, when you think about it. And working on his clothing line & the children's hospital media studios installed by his Ryan Seacrest Foundation can't really be full time gigs either. So, I think that really knocks him down to 3 "real" jobs--the radio show, producing JLo's TV show Shades of Blue (which, again, may not actually be a full time job in the grand scheme of things), & co-hosting with Kelly.
  3. Yeah, the AI reboot's dead. It died around April 1, from what I found out by Googling; it seemed they were really only talking about it for a couple of months. And I wonder if dropping the reboot was, like, the last thing they needed to have happen to completely seal Ryan's deal. I'm pretty sure he was interested in doing that if it got off the ground; as much as he says he's wanted to work with Kelly for awhile, I'm not sure they would've gotten him if the Idol reboot had gone forward.
  4. I've been wondering if Ryan's dog, a black lab named Georgia, will commute with him or stay put wherever with friends/in a kennel/with a dogsitter when he's in the other city.
  5. I don't remember the first to do it, it might've been David Letterman's show, but once 1 show started pretaping Friday shows as a rule, pretty much all the others followed suit. And yeah, I agree the whole point of a live talk show is to be topical. Now, if something major happens after Thursday's live show it won't be mentioned on the show until at least the following Monday, especially depending on what day Friday's show's actually taped (sometimes it's earlier than Thursday), while the shows that tape to air the same day can still be topical. I forgot this was the real reason I came to post. Richard Curtis (the "regular guy" co-host candidate) thanked his supporters after Ryan was named Kelly's new co-host today. http://people.com/tv/live-kelly-ripa-fan-favorite-richard-curtis-thanks-supporters-after-ryan-seacrest-pick/?xid=socialflow_twitter_peoplemag
  6. Basically, "spatchcocked" is just a fancy word for "butterflied".
  7. Ryan also got an Exec Producer credit as part of the deal, besides keeping his other jobs, And he'll spend 4 days a week in NYC doing the show (since Fridays are pretaped) & 3 days in LA; he's not moving full time to NYC.
  8. What I didn't get about the nurse being the hired killer was, if there was a lockdown in the facility (which she probably caused, granted), wouldn't someone from the facility have kept/tried to keep her from leaving, if she'd been successful regarding the hit, since lockdowns mean nobody's supposed to come or go from there as long as the lockdown's in place? Maybe I just think too much.
  9. Whomever it is, they apparently like a lot of coffee. Kelly's post said they'd need a bigger coffee mug for them. Unfortunately I don't remember who that is/was, but I thought it was meant as a hint as to who it was. I doubt it'll be Rob Lowe. Though it's got pretty low ratings, & is cancellation fodder, CBS still hasn't announced the fate of Code Black, their medical show which he joined the cast of last season; if it somehow gets renewed, he may still be committed to that (unless they've written him out for other reasons, like they did some original characters between S1 & S2) since his character wan't killed off & didn't leave to work elsewhere before/in the season finale. And he recently announced he & his sons are doing a reality show on A&E, which starts airing in July, The Lowe Files, where they look into unsolved mysteries & supernatural type stuff (which is stuff they're interested in--like the legend of Bigfoot; they've said that was a big thing for them when his sons were growing up). I assume filming for this season's already completed (he & his sons were recently on Ellen to promote it), but if that show got renewed I don't know how amenable ABC/Disney would be to letting him off of Live long enough to film a 2nd season.
  10. It looks like they could be announcing the new permanent co-host on tomorrow's show. At least if this post from E!'s website, using a post from Kelly's Instagram page, which was regrammed by the show's Instagram page, as its source is to be believed. http://m.eonline.com/news/847190/kelly-ripa-teases-live-co-host-announcement-trust-me
  11. Well, I unfortunately can't remember what this site's policy is on use of spoiler tags when discussing a show that's been off the air especially as long as TWW has been. But on the site a number of us came from, to here, when it was shut down by the corporate owners a few years ago, they said it didn't matter how long a show had been off the air at that point; spoiler tags were NOT allowed in current discussions of a show (posters doing so could get a warning, for not following site rules, from the Mods) & posters who were just discovering a show no longer airing new episodes were just going to have to deal with being spoiled if they read discussions that were about stuff that happened beyond where they were in the show. Though we didn't/couldn't use spoiler tags, many of us did try to remember to say if a reader hadn't seen the show being discussed beyond a certain point, they should probably stop reading the post involved. That usually worked & I don't remember a lot of posters being "hammered" for not using spoiler tags in cancelled show threads. It might've been better if you'd confined the military shuttle discussion to the appropriate season/series thread instead of starting a separate thread about it. Just my thoughts on the matter.
  12. In 1 of the ep threads awhile back, I seem to remember someone else bringing up the age of Londyn Silzer, who plays Chin's niece Sara Diaz. The age of Zach Sulzbach, who plays Danny & Rachel's son Charlie, was also brought up & I said that I had read he was 6 in real life--while it's been said a few times on the show, recently, by Scott in character as Danny, that Charlie is supposed to be 4 (as I remember), though he may have subsequently been aged up to 5 (which would be canon for this part of S7). All I know for sure is that Charlie was born (supposedly early, according to Danny who was conveniently roped into being at the birth since Stan--the father according to Rachel at the time--was in Beijing on business) in S2 Ep 214, Pu'olo (Package), which aired February 14 (Valentines Day), 2012; so he should now be 5 in show canon & Gracie should be 14... I think (in canon she was 9 when Charlie was born). Anyway... Back to what I wanted to say about Londyn Silzer's age. For those who wanted to know, today--April 30, 2017--is Londyn's 8th birthday in real life. I got a Tweet on my Twitter account earlier today, posted by her parents & sister, Brooklyn (who plays/played Emma Scorpio-Drake, daughter of Drs. Patrick Drake & Robin Scorpio-Drake, on General Hospital l), wishing Londyn a happy 8th birthday on the Twitter account in Londyn's name. So Londyn's now 8 in real life & was 7, I think, when her character was introduced. But have they ever said how old her character, Sara, is on the show? I thought they had, & that was how the whole question of Londyn's real life age got started. We were trying to figure out how close to her real age she was playing in character (by the way, Teilor Grubbs is playing Gracie as being a year younger than she is in real life; Zach is around 2 years older in real life than Charlie is in the show), but I looked & could never find Londyn's real age anywhere online (which is probably a smart move because it doesn't limit, as much, the characters she can play as a child actor--though she obviously can't play anyone who's way younger or older than she is).
  13. Was that really a Durango Steve was driving? He--at least in present day in the show--usually drives a Silverado; that's easy for me to remember since 1 of the only 2 GM plants which make the Silverado is located in my hometown (the other's in Flint, MI). I'll cut them some slack though, & say Steve got the first Silverado (it used to be another color until Dr. Madison Gray blew it up earlier this season) after he met Danny. Lori Petty's currently in Orange Is the New Black on Netflix. I read that today. She co-stars in that with Taryn Manning; Taryn, of course, also has a recurring role in H50 as Steve's flaky (but apparently now trying to get her act together) younger sister, Mary.
  14. If you watch on a computer or DVD player, maybe invest in a pair of headphones/earphones /earbuds/EarPods, etc. But not the "noise-cancelling" kind or you'll still have issues. They might help keep the peace somewhat.
  15. And then later on in his real life, I think after 9/11, Ron Silver (the actor who played Bruno) actually flip-flopped his own politics from alignment with those of Bruno & the Bartlet staff to the more Conservative side of things. And he remained a Conservative until he died (of some form of cancer I can't remember; I also can't remember exactly when he died). And I just remembered Bruno's political leanings were also changed in the show to reflect the change Ron Silver's personal politics had undergone while working on the show.
  16. She's also, among other things, in A League of Their Own--the movie starring Geena Davis & Madonna which Penny Marshall made about the All-American Girls Pro Baseball League, which was active for a few years during World War II to keep the sport going while the male players were fighting in the war. She played Geena Davis' character's sister who often felt she was overlooked by people because she was more tomboyish & plainer than her sister & because she could play baseball well. This movie was also made at least 20 years ago--I think I recently saw on my Twitter it had hit some milestone anniversary since its release, anyway. So yeah, Lori Petty is at least middle-aged by now.
  17. As you probably already saw, it was actually "Flashback Danny", as opposed to "Future Danny".
  18. Erin Moran's husband writes about her cancer battle, in a message ironically posted to Facebook by Scott Baio, of all people, & subsequently picked up by the website for the TV show Extra & then Tweeted about by them (how I got the link). http://extratv.com/2017/04/25/erin-morans-husband-steve-fleischmann-writes-heartbreaking-letter-about-her-cancer-battle/
  19. Here is a more extensive explanation/clarification from Scott Baio, than that posted by my CBS affiliate, via Entertainment Weekly, about his comments on former cast mate/girlfriend Erin Moran's untimely passing over the weekend. http://ew.com/tv/2017/04/25/scott-baio-erin-moran-drugs-alcohol/?xid=entertainment-weekly_socialflow_twitter
  20. Scott Baio explains/clarifies his remarks on Erin Moran's death after receiving a backlash over them. Or at least he attempts to. The linked article is from the news website of my local CBS affiliate. http://wane.com/2017/04/25/scott-baio-explains-remarks-on-erin-moran-after-backlash/

  24. There was a further post from People saying Erin was also on a feeding tube when she died.
  25. According to this article from People magazine, posted in the last hour or so, it appears Erin Moran died of Stage 4 Cancer. The type wasn't specified. http://people.com/tv/happy-days-star-erin-moran-died-stage-4-cancer/?xid=socialflow_twitter_peoplemag
