  1. People magazine, & other sources, say Cheryl is out again this season. https://www.google.com/amp/people.com/tv/dancing-stars-cheryl-burke-not-returning-season-24/amp/
  2. From The Hollywood Reporter: How they put together the In Memoriam segment to keep it brief. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/oscars-memoriam-how-honor-people-keep-brief-977446
  3. As of now, it sounds like they're gonna keep airing Training Day. But ... the 1st ep got pretty low ratings, & the most recent ep that aired (I think only 2 have aired) was down 25% in the ratings from that. But they finished filming the season already; I think in December. If they keep it on, I expect it to be "1 & done" for the ratings, not because of Bill Paxton's untimely passing.
  4. She just started doing the voiceovers on Delta Air Lines commercials. Too bad they don't give Grammys for that--I think they do give Emmys for that (commercials), but she already has 1. If she'd write a book about something & read the audiobook version, or if she'd read the audiobook version of someone else's work, she could win a Grammy fairly easily for that (It worked for 1 or both of the Clintons, as I remember).
  5. Those were also movies--MI is a whole movie "franchise"--& probably chosen because of that.
  6. They also rightly mentioned the passing of an Australian costume designer, but they used a photo of 1 of the deceased's still living friends/co-workers with the name & occupation of the deceased. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/oscars-memoriam-video-mentions-australian-costume-designer-but-uses-photo-friend-whos-alive-980
  7. The "scoop" is that Alex said in an interview awhile back (but still fairly recently, as I remember... check the Media thread; I think I found & linked to the interview there) that if the show goes 8 seasons, he'd be leaving at the end of S8 basically to preserve his physical health, & so he can also be a reasonably functioning dad/stepdad to his & his wife Malia's 2 youngest sons--their son, Lion, & her son, Spike (he'd like to still be able to throw a football around with them, like pretty much every dad with young kids, & with his grandkids later on, but with all the show-related injuries he's incurred over the last [currently] 7 years, & apparently left not fully treated--like with surgery--because he feels the responsibility of not missing a lot of work, as the lead, & he'd have to miss at least some work after surgery, it's apparently having some impact on his relationship with his kids, or Alex feels it is). He's incurred a number of injuries, from as far back as S1, (among them a bad shoulder, which he tore somehow, & never had surgery on when the injury was new but tried to "fix" by taking prescription painkillers to work through the pain, which landed him in rehab because he needed help to stop taking the pills; & the rehab stay caused him to miss 2-3 S2 eps, including the NCIS: Los Angeles crossover). I remember the torn shoulder goes as far back as S1; he mentioned it in a cable TV interview towards the end of S1. I think somewhere in this article it also mentions Alex apparently commuting to & from the Mainland to have specialized treatment on 1 or more of his unresolved injuries around his shooting schedule in Honolulu. Here's the article link in question, from Australian media last October. I'm not sure it actually did end up in the Media thread. http://www.news.com.au/national/breaking-news/alex-oloughlin-on-his-hawaii-fiveo-exit/news-story/002b6f603f395e7bd7eb65298d77beaa
  8. According to this article, he was 7 feet, 7 inches tall. Perhaps there was something like Marfan's Syndrome (a heart condition affecting very tall people) involved here. http://tvline.com/2017/02/26/neil-fingleton-dies-game-of-thrones-mag-the-mighty-dead/
  9. Apparently the Naked Chicken Chalupa is only a "limited time" menu offering (I read this yesterday), which kinda surprised me--I thought for sure it'd go permanent. The thing I read said it'll be back; they just don't know when yet. They still have the "Power Bowls" Lorena Garcia created, & the Latin Rice & Black Beans/Beans & Rice side she added to the menu (I can't remember what else she added). I ate Taco Bell the other day & the Power Bowls are in a section labeled "Vegetarian" (& maybe another section I'm forgetting) in their website's menu. The Latin Rice & Black Beans she added are in the (I think) Drinks & Sides menu section. They're listed as individual Beans, individual Rice, as well as Beans & Rice together.
  10. Lou's wife really doesn't need to be home with their children. They're both at least high school age. Otherwise I agree with at least most of your reasoning for certain characters being MIA from the party scene. In case anyone wonders what's up with the cliffhanger ending from last week's ep, Peter Lenkov (the showrunner) Tweeted this an hour or so ago. https://twitter.com/plenkov/status/835530173919350785
  11. R&B songwriting legend Leon Ware dead at 77. http://people.com/music/leon-ware-dead/?xid=socialflow_twitter_peoplemag
  12. At least partly because the cast got together during the Presidential campaign to make a video, as their W&G characters, supporting Hillary Clinton & the video was posted online & went viral. They apparently had so much fun doing the video they started talking about bringing the actual show back, on a limited basis. NBC picked up 10 eps.
  13. Nashville was canceled by ABC but it was eventually picked up by, & is currently running on, CMT (I don't watch, but some BIG stuff happened in this week's ep, which aired last night).
  14. No, the storyline involving Mac & Jack from MacGyver & Chin, Kono, & Kamekona--& only in a MacGyver ep, not both shows like the last crossover in S2--is a completely different storyline. In the MacGyver ep, Mac & Jack (& apparently their team) go to Hawaii to help with relief efforts following what's apparently supposed to be a major earthquake on the big island. Mac & Jack team with Chin & Kono to rescue a group of government scientists trapped in a building about to collapse. While they're trying to rescue the scientists, a dangerous group is using the earthquake chaos as a distraction, to try & steal the top secret weaponry the scientists were working on (like the fake tsunami some former military--I think--guys concocted in S1, to steal money they felt they were owed because they weren't given credit they were due for a drug bust they worked on *&* they were discharged from the service without their pensions/other money they felt they were due). This airs in the March 10th ep of MacGyver.
  15. Besides Nancy Kerrigan & an unnamed member of Fifth Harmony, this says the current Bachelor, Nick Viall. http://variety.com/2017/tv/news/dancing-with-the-stars-season-24-cast-nancy-kerrigan-fifth-harmony-nick-viall-1201995262/
  16. ET is confirming Mr. T & Simone Biles for this season (she did say she wanted to do a Fall season). https://twitter.com/etnow/status/834896041015042049
  17. They've added a "Little" fries option. I can do that easier than the previous smallest option. My whole family (3 people currently at home) could share the original smallest option. The new little option is only what they put into the cup plus whatever they put in the bag (about 1 1/2 to 2 servings).
  18. Plus cookies & pastries &, as I remember, other similar things. The kinds of things that go well with coffee drinks & the non-coffee drinks they sell. They also have breakfast-type sandwiches & oatmeal.
  19. Yes, the major storyline in this week's/tomorrow night's episode deals with the discovery of the missing uranium they started mentioning a few weeks back.

  21. If Fox was founded in 1986, its 30th anniversary was last year. This is 2017.
