I think Community stopped being good around the end of season 2. I didn't find season 4 to be any worse than season 3. I can't really judge season 5 as a whole since I've only watched a handful of episodes.
I just saw "Strangers in the Night" and "Haley's 21st Birthday" back-to-back, and I don't think the former was the worst episode ever and the latter the best episode of the season. They were both pretty average to me and I actually think "Strangers in the Night" was slightly funnier.
Do you have a source for this? I know there was a halt in production last year but it was only temporary. Earlier this month Dan Povenmire tweeted that JK Simmons was recording lines for a new episode (he's been on the show twice before).
Yes. She may have just retired. Must have made better investments.
Side note: The older detectives seem to be named after the Parks and Recreation writing staff (Norm Hiscock, Mike Scully and Greg Daniels to be specific).
We saw Hitchcock and Scully use their detective skills last season in the episode with the secret bathroom. Now we know why they're useless the rest of the time. How about solving the mystery of what happened to Daniels?
I agree that they should have dropped the Gina subplot in favor of more Amy and Rosa. I wish we could have seen them meeting some of Jake's enemies. Total missed opportunity.
Actually if the Nielsen ratings are anything to go by (Pretend they are), it's closer to 2 million people who watch Mad Men. Now Girls on the other hand...
Bianca, we hardly knew ye.
Heresy! I was fine with Gina getting this win though. It helps that I don't like Beyonce, so the stakes were minimal from my point of view.
Gina is my least favorite but I'd actually like her more if the writers stopped trying to add depth to her character and just let her be an awful person.
Pawnee's first female city councilor was Paula Horke (seen in "Women in Garbage").
He loves Chinese crap: Lucy Liu, Nintendo, Gangnam Style, sushi, et cetera, et cetera.
Andy did want kids though so they couldn't both get what they wanted. And Ben gave up the opportunity to run for governor so Leslie could, so it's not like the women can't get their way.
Since either Leslie or Ben could be president in the future:
"I would be lying if I said that I never thought I would be involved in an incident like this. Except I always assumed that I would be the politician and the man would be accused of sleeping with me. And that man would be the vice president. And I would be the president." - Leslie in Christmas Scandal
