  1. Ben: Andy, we are guests of Lord Covington. Maybe you should let him... play with the blue helicopter. Ron: You choose a thankless job, you can't be upset when nobody thanks you. And by the way, April thanked you. She nominated you for this award. Leslie: Well, April does that all the time. She nominated Ann for Motocross Driver of the Year award just so she could get a rejection letter. "You can't just merge two towns. It's against the rules of nature. What's next-- merging a man with his dog?" This one's from a deleted scene, which is probably for the best since even Andy can't be that stupid: "I have an imaginary friend. His name is Chris Traeger. I haven’t seen him in weeks."
  2. I think the map jokes work because they don't just repeat the original joke with different countries. There's always a new layer. (e.g. "Not only is that not Azerbaijan, it's not even a landmass - it's the Caspian Sea.")
  3. "Who are we? Where are we going in life? What is the meaning of all of this? These are questions Li'l Sebastian never had to answer, because he was a horse."
  4. In season 20 they had yet another wedding because it turns out Reverend Lovejoy wasn't certified at the time of their second wedding. I find it unlikely that the writers would have forgotten both of those episodes. I think what we have here is just this year's version of the "a main character will die and it will change the show forever" misreporting.
  5. If only that was what "Blurred Lines" was about.
  6. Jessica left out Blaise Zabini from her list of black Harry Potter characters. That's what I take away from this show, apparently.
  7. Maybe his next job is with the Green Lantern Corps.
  8. Surely you're forgetting Toy Story. (I know there were several other writers, I just felt the need to mention it.)
  9. Doesn't that make all of the comments here about Melissa McCarthy's kimono kind of ironic?
  10. By pure coincidence, right now I'm watching the episode where Tracy is being targeted by the "Black Crusaders" for perpetuating stereotypes.
  11. Lindsey Graham doesn't announce, he declares.
  12. Well if you manage to get some money out of Blockbuster, could you also get me some blood out of a stone?
  13. While I expect the new captain will be a character we haven't met before, I'm kind of hoping we never actually get to see him/her next season. Either they're just always off-screen or they died during the summer. Just because I think it would be funny to mess with the viewers like that.
  14. This exchange when Liz and Kenneth are searching for Tracy: Enzo: Welcome to Federici's. What can I get for you guys? Liz: Well, as hard as it is to believe given our apparent ages, this is my son. Enzo: Seems about right. Liz: Kay. Good. My son is currently studying at a local pizza academy - Enzo: Really? Which one? Kenneth: New... York... Pizza Academy. Enzo: Well then I hate you. Because I'm a Pizza Academy of New York man. Kenneth: Wonderful. Enzo: So, what fraternity are you pledging? Kenneth: I'm not. There are no fraternities at New York Pizza Academy. Enzo: That's right. You correctly answered my trick question. Now I'm bound by pizza academy tradition to grant you any request. Liz: Wow. This could not have gone any better. Kenneth: We need to see all of your delivery receipts from the last two months. Enzo: Ahhh you got that delivery receipt exam comin' up, huh? What a bear. Here you go. Take your time. I'll be in the back trying to think of other ways to help you. Kenneth: Well this is obviously a dead end.
  15. I've watched about half of the episodes so far and I'm not enjoying it as much as I hoped I would. I don't have a problem with Kimmy Schmidt the character though. On the plus side, it gives me an excuse to use this clip from another Ellie Kemper role:
  16. I like "Sister City" and "Eagleton" too. There's nothing to be ashamed about. I don't normally skip episodes, though I'd probably re-watch certain seasons more than others. But I'll try to list the ones I'm less excited about: Season 1 - All of it. Season 2 - I don't think there are any bad episodes in S2 but there are some not-so-good ones. I'll mention "Kaboom" because Leslie, Ann and Andy are the only ones with a storyline. Season 3 - Looking at the episode list, I keep thinking "Well this one wasn't that good. Wait, it had that one joke and that other joke..." Without singling any out, maybe one of the pre-Harvest Festival episodes. Season 4 - Dave Returns Season 5 - Soda Tax and probably others, it's not my favorite season. Season 6 - Recall Vote Season 7 - I'd have to rewatch before I can make a choice.
  17. This is going to be tough but since you asked me personally... Season 1: I don't love any of the episodes but "The Banquet" was the best of them. Season 2: "Telethon" is probably my favorite of the season but "Practice Date" was the episode that really sold me on this show. The main story had good material for both Leslie and Ann, while the digging up dirt contest gave some depth to the rest of the cast (we learned about Ron's alter-ego and that Tom's marriage was a sham). It's also the episode that cemented how Jerry would be treated for the rest of the series. Other episodes among my favorites are "Woman of the Year" and "Summer Catalog". Season 3: There are a lot of good episodes here, especially in the middle section. I have to single out "Jerry's Painting" for introducing my namesake. I signed up to TWoP shortly after seeing it because I just had to claim that username before anyone else did. "Soulmates" is my other favorite from this season. Season 4: Again, there's a lot to choose from. To pick five: End of the World, The Treaty, Citizen Knope, The Comeback Kid, Sweet Sixteen Season 5: Ron and Diane, Two Parties, Animal Control Season 6: Doppelgangers, Filibuster, Ann and Chris, Prom, Flu Season 2 Season 7: Leslie and Ron, Pie-Mary, One Last Ride And now writing this has made me feel like re-watching the whole series so I can provide a more accurate list.
  18. No new UOs to add, just wondering if we could add a quote from the show to the thread title. Examples I can think of: "I like Larry." "I don't get it... at all. It's kind of a small horse. Am I missing something?" "You know what I like? Calzones." Basically a lot of Ben quotes.
  19. Saturday Night Live UOs: Michael Che is a decent Weekend Update anchor. I probably wouldn't miss him if he was replaced but his jokes are usually good. Leslie Jones annoys me. (This opinion is unpopular on these boards, it varies elsewhere.) I liked a bit she did recently on WU but that's about it. Though at least I can say she's more noteworthy than some of the current cast.
  20. Greg Garcia and CBS are turning into Charlie Brown and the football.
  21. I should clarify that Jamm isn't the real reason I dislike season 5. It's just easy to place the blame on him because he's not funny, he's not interesting and he exists solely to be a nuisance.
  22. If the writers genuinely thought Ariel Winter was unattractive, I doubt they would have had her show that much cleavage in this episode.
  23. Because you're anti-hipster or anti-racism?
  24. I would have ranked season 2 higher and season 5 a lot lower. What do I hate about season 5? Two words. One character. JEREMY JAMM.
