After reading some of Mike Schur's tweets about the recent supreme court ruling (example), I wouldn't be surprised if we see a "corporations are people" plot.

Reasonable goals? They're screwed already. ETA: Well yeah, that's the norm. But in theory we still expect elected officials to have the maturity of someone over the age of 6.

I'd join you but I'm pretty sure laughing at Fred Armisen would be going against everything I stand for.

Dear Emmys (yes, it's one of those posts), I am willing to tolerate Modern Family being nominated for and winning every award under the sun. I still enjoy it most of the time. But can you at least pretend that shows like Parks and Recreation and Brooklyn Nine-Nine have a chance? I know they're not ratings hits, nor are they hot cable/Netflix shows (and on that note: seriously, Silicon Valley for best comedy? I watched the whole season and was severely disappointed.) but you can still show them more respect than just a token nomination for Amy Poehler year after year (I'm guessing you're planning the same for Andre Braugher). Also, please keep the SNL nominations to a minimum in the guest star categories. One more thing: Am I the only person on Earth who remembers that Conan is still on the air and is still funnier than all the other talk shows? I don't mind that The Daily Show and The Colbert Report win every year, they're brilliant in their own way. I'm just saying it's an option. So it's the same as every year (except 2011 when the series got a nomination too). You'd think a show that gets so much praise from critics and attracts a lot of high-profile guest stars would be getting more than one nomination in a major category after six seasons. And since Brooklyn Nine-Nine didn't fare any better, you have to wonder what Mike Schur is doing wrong.

Maybe because people acting civil with each other is expected behavior and therefore not noteworthy.

I never saw "Outsourced" but I know it also got a lot of resentment because Parks and Rec got pushed back to midseason to accommodate it.

I didn't see the interview. Did he apologize for joking about him in general or just the endless amount of fat jokes? Because if it's the latter then he owes the viewers an apology too. Same with the jokes about Joe Biden being childish.

Well on the subject of sci-fi scenarios, Stephen could regenerate into Larry Wilmore Doctor Who-style. Or maybe the new CBS!Stephen is actually an evil robot from the future who killed the original (in which case, all those "Cheating Death" segments will pay off).
