  1. I could get into it if Ron would just pick some laws of his supernatural universe and stick with it. What drives me bonkers is when the devil has an ability one moment but then doesn't use it the next. Or how Rolf can't bring back someone in one minute and then can the next. But I do find the devil storylines more entertaining than the drivel that's aired since. Allie definitely needs to go back into devil mode because that's the most interesting and likable that she's ever been.
  2. I had taken a break when the time jump happened and returned around Feb/March 2020. One of the first episodes I saw was Hope waking up in the hospital from another Princess Gina experience where she was asked (by Kayla I believe) what the date was and she said 2020. So I've never thought the show has been a year ahead as much that the time jump was meant to account for the hiatus Days took in late '19.
  3. Another hour-long news program (NBC News Daily) Cause you know we need more of them. 🙄
  4. My hubs and I bought some of the Dark Shadows collections on DVD many years ago, and last winter I started re-watching them with our youngest who wanted to see it. It's definitely worth checking out. Just be forewarned, it moves slow and yet is still addicting. Hopefully Peacock adds more seasons.
  5. I personally have a hard time getting into the show if it's not airing in its normal time slot. I like a little afternoon break from reality, which is why I tune in. But when "breaking news" interrupts it, it takes knowing there's something worth seeing to bring myself to watch it. There are just other things I'd rather do in the evenings. So after the switch-over, I expect my viewing to greatly decline. I do wonder though if the full cast will remain or how the format might change. Since this announcement wasn't made very far in advance, I expect there to be some fall out.
  6. I don't know I'd say he redeemed her as much as he's toned her down. She's not crazy or obsessed with Steve and Kayla anymore. She's civil with them but not friends. She's tried to be a better person, but they have still kept her edge. Like she chopped the head off that stupid teddy bear of Rafe and Nicole's after he cheated on her (go Ava!) and after getting a little revenge, moved on. She's not always a law-abiding citizen (Kristin has pulled her into/twisted her arm into some schemes) but she cut her mob ties (and thus has no mob money) so that Tripp wouldn't be disappointed in her. She's probably a little bit of a gray character now. She owned her past deeds, while still having a backbone and not being whitewashed. Honestly, I used to love Kayla and hate Ava; these days, Kayla too often grates me (being too sanctimonious and snobby) while Ava is more likely to call it like it is. Surprisingly, Ron has changed/ improved the Ava character for the better.
  7. Count me in too. The so-called heroines these days are just awful. I like that Ava is no longer crazy but is still tough and doesn't take shit from other people.
  8. I swear I distinctly remember an episode probably a year or two ago where Gabby went to see Rolf (the real Rolf) in jail and begged him to bring back Stefan, to which Rolf maintained that even he couldn't do anything since Gabby gave his heart away. Guess Rerun Ron has become Retcon Ron now.
  9. Didn't Cassie walk upstairs in the Pub never to be seen again kinda like how Don Craig mailed his letter?
  10. I'm sure I would NOT want to raise the offspring of someone who is obsessed with me and someone who hates me/hates my family. I still maintain Shawn (and Belle actually) are both idiots.
  11. Do we know if they tested Brandon? I can't imagine how a fundie family would react to a husband who couldn't impregnate his wife so I expect they'd keep it quiet and paint the wife out to be the problem.
  12. There's also the grocery delivery option. Or she could have Evan do curbside pick-up on his way home. She puts in the order during the day while he's at work and he gets it when he gets off. Would be a time saver as well. Them boo-hooing about her not being able to drive reinforces the impression that they were too young to settle down and have a family. They don't seem to know how to adapt to situations responsibly.
  13. That would probably be more interesting than the boring drivel they've been airing. Would rather see EJ and Chad fighting over who gets to be a vampire and who gets to be a werewolf than who's CEO of Dimera.
  14. Shawn is an utter freaking idiot. First getting sucked into Jan's crap, and now fighting for a kid that isn't his.
  15. I remember our pediatrician telling us one time when my kids were babies (like around 3-4 months) that there's activity under the gums that can bother them before their teeth push through.
  16. Is that supposed to be a Sarah mask? Looks more like a Conehead one to me. Now que up that Red Hot Chili Pepper's music and let's all sing: 🎵 What Ron writes, we just don't know What we know is that he's gotta go-o When Days finds new writer with a mind Then we'll give it some of our good time...🎵
  17. Exactly! And in reality, not their warped misunderstood little heads, he probably picked up that "little cold" because teething babies are constantly sticking their fingers, teethers that drop on the floor, and anything else that can soothe their sore gums into their mouth. Which means if Dumb and Dumber aren't keeping his hands clean and watching what he's sticking in his mouth or gnawing on, he's not just picking up "a little cold" but also potentially Covid, RSV, flu, norovirus, various bacteria.... you name it.
  18. Agree, those were good scenes and the three played off each other well. Don't see that enough with some of the newer characters. I, too, guessed Orpheus was going to say Seatle before he did, but I also expected him to point out the irony that Roman was responsible for his wife's death, also an unintended accident, and draw parallels with Justin. But the show always dances around that, perhaps because it's hard to picture Chris Kosticheck...er...Roman these days as an ISA agent, yet along Orpheus's former partner. And thus it was convenient that Roman wasn't working today either. The undoing of John as Roman always makes this backstory/character history a little wonky.
  19. If show wants viewers to see Alex and not Ben, they probably shouldn't write scenes where he's threatening someone while fabric wrapping around his knuckles. Or remind us of the Necktie Killer. Orpheus might make an interesting new suitor for Ava. They could be quite the formidable pair. They could even double date with Clyde and Nancy. That would be fun.
  20. I agree, the dead (no pun intended) give away today was Gabi's comment about Stefan alongside Jake professing his devotion to Ava. So Jake will probably be "reincarnated" as Stefan, and that's also probably the spoiler hint about Rolf going too far even for Kristin. Ron has apparently decided to shove Stefan/Gabi down our throats whether viewers want them together or not.
  21. Totally agree. And wasn't it Marcus who helped treat Kayla/save her life when Harper was poisoning her and Steve kidnapped/rescued her from the Deveraux mansion and took her to a safe house that Gabrielle gave him access too?
  22. I think Kelton was respectful cause he needed to be to get Josie, but once he had her, he had no problem voicing how put out he was by being told to wait to get her. I'm not sure if Gil realizes this or is oblivious. Presumably he knows now if he watched his own show. One of the scenes I recall where Kelton complains about, even sort of mocks Gil, were obviously not when Gil was around though. The one was at his current house w/Josie and one of her siblings and suitor were there, who he told the story to/complained to.
  23. I've seen it on more than one episode of the show, and I didn't even watch regularly. Kelton definitely holds a grudge about being told that Josie was off-limits when he first started sniffing around her.
  24. After last night's episode, I think their kids might be smarter than them. Loved Lincoln saying he thought they were making the wrong decision with the move. I couldn't agree more. If I had a nice big home in Canada and a presumably successful business, no way would I give it up move to Florida USA. And taking the screens down...what idiots. But regardless, it seems pretty clear after all the seasons that they are not, nor have they been, making decisions with the kids' best interest in mind or even the hotel's at times. They are out to be HGTV stars for the attention and their egos, jumping from one reno to the next, and possibly bleeding money along the way.
  25. Given how many times Kelton has gone on about his disdain for Gill keeping him from Josie when she was 14, I can't help but think Kelton wouldn't care if Gill's toilet was flushing in reversing and showering the walls with its content. So if he showed up, Josie must be withholding sex or something as his incentive. 🤣
