  1. I looked up chart positions for both the US and the UK as I thought that even "No Guilt" might have charted. It turns out that "I Know What Boys Like" was their only single to chart in the US topping out at #62 and "Christmas Wrapping" was their only single to chart in the UK topping out at #45 making them one hit wonders on both sides of the Atlantic. ?
  2. I thought so about the co-op! To me, it seemed way too early for that. I felt the same way about "nerd alert." Definitely anachronistic. Another anachronism, there was a line about pantyhose, which wasn't introduced to the world until 1959 (I Googled it) and even then, it took a while for pantyhose to catch on. I can remember being a little girl and wearing stockings with garters, not pantyhose, with a party dress around 1964.
  3. Given the fact that the show had built up just how much Imogene wanted to see The Music Man, I was very pleased at the scene where Archie cancelled the date. She truly put her friendship with Midge at the forefront. And Joel deserves every bit of what he's getting.
  4. In the pilot, when Midge pulled the brisket out of the oven, I screamed out loud, "My mom had that pink Pyrex!" Also, there was a green coffee mug shown that we had a set of. Lastly, I can remember my mom setting my hair as a little girl with those pink rubber rollers that kind of turned in on themselves to hold them in place. Talk about long-buried memories!
  5. Yet they got the Rock Hudson question even though he died more than 30 years ago! Makes the Redford TS even more incomprehensible. Go figure. ?
  6. I would most definitely watch the alternative versions of Jeopardy! that you two are creating!
  7. When Alex gave his opening spiel about no one in 2018 having won a large amount, I yelled at the TV, "Maybe if they would start clearing the damned board, they'd earn more money!" Not today though. I cannot believe that Robert Redford--pictured no less!--was a TS. You've got to be kidding me. He's still acting on a fairly regular basis. He starred in a Netfix original film late in 2017 and was in a Marvel movie just a few years back! I realize it was a young photo of him, but not having gone the plastic surgery route, he still looks like Robert Redford. ☺
  8. Fashion Police may be gone, but would anyone care to join me in discussing some of the fashion from last night's Golden Glove Awards? Here's a link to IMDb's gallery of red carpet photos: http://www.imdb.com/golden-globes/2018-red-carpet-photos/rg179280640/?pf_rd_m=A2FGELUUNOQJNL&pf_rd_p=3484926142&pf_rd_r=0J3ECHG9364W95QDRJ9Y&pf_rd_s=center-3&pf_rd_t=15061&pf_rd_i=homepage&ref_=hm_gg_redcar_sm My favorites (in no particular order): Mary J. Blige - I listed her first as I do think she had my favorite look of the night Jessica Chastain Greta Gerwig - I loved the way she looked and considering that Lady Bird won one of the two Best Picture awards, she should have been nominated for Best Director. Saoirse Ronan Dakota Johnson - I'm sure that many will disagree with me, but I really liked her gown, especially the back. Tracee Ellis Ross - I thought she looked gorgeous! Worst of the night: Angelina Jolie - She looked like Morticia Addams Geena Davis - Ugh! Sharon Stone - Double Ugh! Catherine Zeta Jones - Trying way too hard. Epic fail. Susan Kelechi Watson - I love her so much but she looked awful in that jumpsuit thing. Alicia Vikander - Oh my gosh, I wait to see what she's wearing on the carpet as she usually knocks it out of the park but this dress made her look as if she was in mourning in 1875!
  9. When Lucifer was strutting down the street at the beginning of the episode wearing what I'll call a Tony Manero suit from Saturday Night Fever, he speaks to one woman who tells him that her grandfather still has a suit like that one. Insulted, Lucifer replies that the suit was the height of style the last time he was here. From that exchange, I inferred that he had visited earth sometime in the late 70s.
  10. I hadn't heard about this either but I found this:
  11. Craig looked good with the nicely clipped beard in the barber shop scene. I was sorry to see that he'd shaved it off for Elizabeth's party. Shep looks worse each episode. Even dressed up for the party, he still looked sloppy to me.
  12. I remembered Chef when I first heard that Bruce was making a pork sandwich for a food truck challenge and thought, "Why not a great Cuban?" It might have turned out better than the mess he presented!
  13. Agreed. And it stinks even more when some teams have working equipment and others don't. If TPTB want to throw in a twist with non-working equipment, then all teams should have that disadvantage, not just one or two. Bad form, show. ?
  14. Interesting, well written article by a journalist who ran in the Armstrong-Jones' social circle. The Real-Life Story of Princess Margaret and Tony, Wild Swingers of Netflix’s ‘The Crown’
  15. For 'Young Sheldon' Star Zoe Perry, Playing a Version of Her Mom Wasn't Easy Interesting article. Although I knew that Zoe was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf, I didn't realize that Jeff Perry was her father!
  16. Relationshep (the dumbass show--heehee) has its own forum if you'd like to join the discussion. http://forums.previously.tv/forum/3459-relationshep/
  17. Similarly, I hope they retain Greg Wise as Lord Mountbatten. Also older and not difficult to age. Very good casting there.
  18. I just read an article and was coming here to post the link. http://m.mysanantonio.com/entertainment/article/Top-Chef-cuts-John-Besh-from-episode-after-12427451.php#photo-10198485 The episode will air in January. It can't have been an easy edit to cut out a well known guest judge. Good call by Brave on this.
  19. I recently saw Rob Reiner's film, LBJ and was quite impressed with Jeffrey Donovan's turn as JFK. I also thought Greg Kinnear did a good job as JFK in the television mini-series, The Kennedys a few years back. Michael C. Hall was surprisingly awful here; IMO the first poor casting choice in this otherwise perfectly cast series.
  20. Michael and Tommy owe Martin a big, fat apology! I was so glad when Elizabeth put Michael in his place.
  21. Margaret's gold necklace worn at the dinner party was absolutely stunning. I'm not normally a big jewelry person but I couldn't take my eyes off it!
  22. I hadn't been bowled over by Matt Smith's performance prior to this episode, but I thought he was excellent here in an episode where the focus was on him. I loved the use of Elizabeth's note left in his briefcase. The first time Philip reads the note, I believe he sees it annoyingly as a warning, a guideline she's setting for his behavior, "Don't forget you have a family." Then, after the interview with the journalist where she opens old wounds of the broken family of his youth and the ensuing homesickness it awakens, he looks at the note differently. "Don't forget you have a family;" a place where you are loved, missed and where you belong. Nicely done, show.
  23. Interesting article from The Hollywood Reporter on the casting of the show's younger actors. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/is-us-casting-director-finding-younger-big-three-1063730?facebook_20171205
  24. Dustin Waters of the Charleston City Paper who writes the hilarious reviews of Southern Charm is also reviewing Relationshep. https://m.charlestoncitypaper.com/HolyCinema/archives/2017/12/05/confessions-of-a-southern-charm-newbie-relationshep-edition
  25. Charleston ladies' man Shep Rose looks for love in new Bravo series, 'Relationshep' ? I guess we'll see how this plays out tonight.
