  1. Upon rewatch, I am still wondering what Q's motivation for trying to wipe out the Picard family line. This thing with JLP has pretty much informed what we know of this particular Q and I want to see if the Continuum is finally tired of Q's obsession with Picards.
  2. Yes, she did! Jonathan Frakes directed this episode. Thing is, they shouldn't have even had the discussion about preserving timelines. Their mere presence in this timeline stomps all the butterflies, in addition to the shenanigans our crew have found themselves in. All of this is supposed to be set back to normal (or will it?) by the end of the season.
  3. Baby... The Supervisor used the time old trick of taking the face of someone Picard would trust. And she has no knowledge of Q? Interesting. Now I want to know what Q's game is. His powers aren't working properly and now he has to resort to physical manipulation to eff things up? Tell me more. Poor Raffi. It was quite clever the way Evan Evagora is kept in play by having Raffi see Elnor in other people's faces. Dr. Adam Soong had a daughter. Now we have the precursor to Soji/Dahj. We have witnessed the birth of Borg Queen Agnes. This fin to be goooood.
  4. I told ya'll that Zumbado's clothes are too tight. Heh. Dee was the MVP tonight! Looking all uncomfortable and smexy at the same damn time. I think it's pretty cool now that Naomi's parents are now part of the story. I wonder where they came from?
  5. I had a feeling that Tiffani was going to win. The judges liked her dish much more than Amanda's, hence the 2 point difference. It's cute that Elizabeth Faulkner thought she was going to beat Jet Tila. He had me at ground mahi mahi seasoned so well that it fooled Ming Tsai into thinking it was pork! Guy is so extra; Why is Shirley Chung the "Dumpling Mafia Queen"? Is "Dumpling Queen" not enough? I love that she won! I want some XO sauce. She scored the highest thus far; the match between her and Jet Tila will be epic! Chef Eric should have chosen better bread for his po'boys. That was what tripped him up! Maneet goes on to defend her title.
  6. Is it bad that I like the Naomi Scooby Gang exploits better than the slap fighting that Dee and Zumbado are currently doing? Cranston Johnson's acting choices are so weird and his suits are so tight! Maybe if Zumbado can breathe, he would look better. The better solution would be to train her together, but Naomi may drown in testosterone before that happens. Heh. So there are 4 Aliens in town. We know 3 of them so far. Who could the 4th be and they are in the McDuffie house right now. Yikes!
  7. Whoopi was recovering from sciatica at the time of filming and may not have been able to move around well. If she says she was disrespected on the set of ST:P, then I will light fires. I'm sure Sir Patrick treated Whoopi like the Queen she is.
  8. Amazon X-Ray tells us who that woman was in Q's scene. I wondered who she was...
  9. I think what is happening in these forums and on social media is that folks want the perfect Trek that resides in their heads instead of enjoying the Modern Trek that we are given. I liked the actress cast as Young Guinan and can handwave the differences as the time/space travel shenanigans that all captains hate so much. Now I will only quibble about Rios' treatment in the past thus far. Why have him in a precarious situation knowing that he can't get healed instantaneously and complete his mission. Hell, that drop could have killed him! Continuing the torture (him getting tased) is also not my jam. Seven and Raffi are hitting it out of the park, as well as Agnes and Borg Queen. I can see the strings coming together in regards to what happens in the future. Q said that all of this was a result of JLP's choices; maybe blowing up the Stargazer wasn't the right choice? The Future BQ told Picard to "Look up", which doesn't track with Agnes being the FBQ (as a result of this time/space shenanigan) causing the ruckus on the Stargazer and requesting his help. But the writers are bringing Picard's mother into this narrative for a reason, so I will just hope that it is written well. So the Watcher is Laris and Q's powers don't work in this timeline? I want to see more of that next week.
  10. Let's be real for a minute. What could the Federation really do to Book to pay for his crimes? He is not a member of Starfleet or the Federation. The only reason they could touch him in any way is because of Michael's relationship with him. She didn't even ask for leniency for him! He decided to take the punishment so he can go back to Michael and gain further healing for his grief later. If he had decided to biff the community service, he wouldn't have gotten far. His ship was destroyed and Grudge was on Discovery. His home planet and people are still gone; what purpose would jailing him have done? Now I expected General Ndoye to at least get a verbal reprimand from the Earth President. Earth rejoining the Federation might be enough of a sting to the general to forever remember her shenanigans.
  11. Thankfully Tobias took out the Hamboni. Sir, the sauce was right in front of you. I could see if it was on a counter behind you. Guess we will see him in TOC IV. "Does it look like I am concerned?" I loves Einat Admony! I still don't feel it for Elizabeth Faulkner. As accomplished as she is, she should do well in TOC. Clearly the third time was the charm! I wanted to eat Chris Cosentino's dish though. Jet Tila is Bae. That would not be my perfect egg, to be honest. Bye Chef Carlos! Better luck next TOC. I don't see how Elizabeth Faulkner can beat Jet Tila next round. The judges panel was awesome this week, Now I want a steak.
  12. The Queen is still dangerous, even stunted as she is.
  13. I was a mess when Book's transport signal was lost. How awesome of the Ten-C to save him. I was mildly surprised that the General survived. Figured she should have sacrificed herself because of her treachery. Maybe next season could be less of a roller coaster! Just do one plot and let the Bridge members have a few adventures on the side. My nerves are bad and I can't take another World Level Extinction Event. Now we all knew Tilly and the lone Admiral in Starfleet was going to live another day! There doesn't seem to be another Admiral around to take Vance's place. Now Federation President and Michael are buddies. At least it didn't happen instantaneously. I want to see who will be the captain of Voyager! Go Saru! Get your Vulcan boo!
  14. Oh Rios. Instead of trying to save the doctor, you should have snatched your badge back. Raffi and Seven should get to him before he is "deported". It was nice for Seven to not experience Borg prejudice for once. When Q popped up in the ship, I thought for sure he was going to snatch Picard out of the situation and send him somewhere else. I guess Q is going to let this situation play out. Well, I can guess that Agnes was the Borg Queen that started this grand adventure. Either that or this Queen took on enough of Agnes' mannerism and became a copy of her. And Agnes impressing the Queen certainly creeped me out. I'm pretty sure that Elnor will be brought back in due time. I don't think we will see Soji on this particular jaunt; 2024 is before her creation, right? I will vote on the Watcher being Guinan, unless we will be surprised by a TNG/DSN alum we won't expect...
  15. I really like Shirley Chung. But Marcel knew the undercooked chicken would do him in! I did give Guy side eye at "Dumpling Mafia Queen". Darnell is awesome and arrogant. Aarthi Sampath is quite formidable! I'm eating hamburgers while watching this show. My happy place!
  16. Yeah, that was pretty glaring. I'm sure the Borg Queen would not have stunned those folk had they not fired first (Thanks, Seven). Laris and Seven are gorgeous. Everybody glowed up nicely in the last year. I'm ready for the adventure!
  17. What got me was that Book only gave her one piece! I would have wanted at least 3 pieces. LOL! I finished the show and Reno is awesome! Too bad Book is so obstinate. No way should he have allowed Tarka to hijack his ship! (*Funky Dineva Voice* Tarka done messed up the thang!!! *FDV*) If Reno saves the day next episode, I will forgive all the Discoveryisms we had to suffer in this storyline.
  18. For the core bridge crew group within Discovery, yes. I'm sure that the people rounding out the crew complement within Discovery has people to say goodbye to as well as the people that the bridge group became attached to in their time in the future.
  19. I really like Bryan Voltaggio, but he is not suited for competition cooking. It's cute that he wanted to go against his brother, but Michael is a serious cutthroat when it comes to competition style cooking. Bryan might be better off being a judge. I wonder what happened to Madison Cowan. It was a shame to see him going out like that.
  20. I really wanted Natalia to ask her father does he know his left from his right? She couldn't be any clearer which way he was supposed to go. I'm amazed that such a poorly navigational team was able to come so far after being rightly eliminated the first time!
  21. Yeah, that was my only quibble about this episode. If your sister can't tolerate onions to the point of retching on camera (I don't want to see that!), how's about you eat the majority of the second one? (even though you didn't have to eat a second one!)
  22. I think Owo was playing possum to get the prize money higher. Michael as a hypeman cracked me up; Joann "OH WOW!" Owosekon is the best she could come up with? There was also no way Owo was going to let her captain in that fight pit. "Right Hook" would have gotten laid out.
  23. Actually, it would be nice if each bridge member got an episode to shine. Owo was excellent as I thought she would be. This was also an excellent use of Michael and her experiences as a courier. "Right Hook" and "Glow Worm" make an awesome team when Book isn't determined to be ridiculous. It sucks that he was willing to throw his relationship away for Tarka.
  24. Ruel is a beast. I knew it was going to be hot once he snatched the lobster away from Tricia. And she had the nerve to be upset about it! Oh, and I was happy to see Amber eliminated. She annoyed me more than Tricia. Plus her palate is way suspect if a dish that was too sweet for Chef Nyesha when she tasted it in the kitchen was too spicy for her. Damn it, I want fried lobster.
  25. I cackled, especially when he said, "I cooked cheese before." Apparently not well.
