Chris Harrison is dating Entertainment Tonight's top Bachelor franchise correspondent Lauren Zima. https://people.com/tv/chris-harrison-lauren-zima-red-carpet-debut They went public at some SAG Awards party together, days after her husband filed for divorce. The papers say they've been separated since last March. https://www.lifeandstylemag.com/posts/lauren-zimas-husband-filed-for-divorce-before-chris-harrison-date/

Wasn't rape/sexual assault her pageant platform? So it wouldn't be something she's never talked about before or that wouldn't be known about her by Googling. They're on this show, so they can't just look each other up like you normally would. Colton doesn't necessarily seem like the type, but some men absolutely love having women fighting over them and find it incredibly amusing.

How nice, there's an alternate ending where Jackson didn't go through with it and went to Ally's show after all! That's my story and I'm sticking to it! :)

Production budgets don’t include marketing costs. Depending on the type of movie and release, advertising costs can vary widely: a horror movie might have mostly digital ads (Youtube, social media platforms) and the studio might spend $10-15 million total, while promoting a superhero movie might cost ten times that amount. Corporate tie-ins are a form of movie marketing but can make money for a studio rather than being a cost. A smaller drama meant to win awards might spend less on marketing before it premieres and more afterwards on sending screeners to the various guild members or For Your Consideration ads in industry publications. Most adult dramas released this late in the year have some awards hopes, even if they don't pan out, but The Mule just positioned itself as an alternative to the action and family fare that was out during the holidays. Eastwood has a long track record with that kind of movie and his return to acting made it an event for a demo that tends not to rush out to theaters.

More about the real Green Book:

If you were trying to give a wedding planner an idea of how you wanted everything to look, showing them pictures or referencing scenes from a movie would be more helpful than passages from a book. A Twilight wedding is not for me but it's not like she made Arie wear sparkle makeup. It's a ceremony in a forest setting. Even if she got the idea as a teenager watching the first Breaking Dawn, it's not particularly odd, as far as weddings go. At her age, she could just as easily have had a full Disney Princess or Harry Potter theme (which is fine, if it's your wedding and it makes you happy, but obviously stands out more as a fangirl thing compared to this).

A Dog's Purpose does have a sequel that's scheduled for release later this year (A Dog's Journey). All three are based on books by the same author: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/W._Bruce_Cameron

Yes, the hanging happens in Book 5. Isn't Roger more drawn to the ministry after losing his singing voice? Helping others spiritually gives him a sense of purpose and an identity in the 18th century, as he struggles with feeling useless at home next to Earth Mother/Huntress/Artiste Extraordinaire Bree.

I googled to see what their feud was even about and found this. Not a huge Arie fan but Jef comes off as incredibly bitter in comparison. Didn't love how the Arie/Lauren relationship started out and I'm not sure what they see in each other, but they seem well matched, so good for them. I searched Twitter when they showed Arie/Lauren in the Bachelor Babies segment and people were not happy to see them, so I don't know how much wedding footage we'll be getting on the air.

The latest round of Kevin Hart interviews/quotes were due to him ostensibly promoting The Upside. It's a remake of French megahit The Intouchables and was originally under The Weinstein Company banner. Well, I guess having a controversy of your own is one way to avoid questions about any Harvey associations. Anyway, now that an abandoned TWC movie is a success, maybe The Current War will see the light of day. Aquaman passes The Dark Knight's worldwide total (unadjusted for inflation, of course) to become the second biggest DC movie globally. It's already tops among the DECU, though it probably won't pass Wonder Woman domestically ($412,563,408). I'm sure there are plenty of Right Reasons fans who think a nationally televised proposal is the best thing ever. "I haven't dated a virgin sunce I was 12." Still not sure what that means? Sean and Catherine's baby son was hospitalized late last year (he's fine now). Maybe the segment with The Bachelor families was taped around that time?

Last year, they missed The Shape of Water but the year before, Moonlight won Best Drama and La La Land won Musical/Comedy. It's still really hard to believe that best picture at the Oscars will come down to the two winners tonight. The awards bloggers had been saying for the past couple of weeks that the Bohemian Rhapsody love runs deep in the industry, so I'd come to expect Rami and the movie to win. Given the global box office of BR (over $740 million and counting, $550M of from international markets), the Globes would be the place that would reward it. I can see SAG going for it, too, since the merger with AFTRA, a lot of the voters aren't even actors. I know a SAG win doesn't mean the Best Picture win, the last two Outstanding Cast winners there didn't get the Oscar, and it will probably have enough detractors not to do as well on an AMPAS preferential ballot.

I thought the book mentioned handfasting was temporary, valid for a year and a day until the couple either had a more formal ceremony before clergy or ended it permanently. I don't know how that squares with actual handfasting practices at the time, and how abandonment worked into it or with the legitimacy of children. Didn't Brianna know about what Jamie did to Black Jack in the books? I think it was when Jenny was showing Brianna the letters Jamie had written, Jenny made a comment about Jamie having trouble with his hand from that time with Randall. Her casualness of tone in mentioning it made Brianna assume that Jenny didn't know the true nature of what had happened to Jamie. Who knows that that is a correct assumption on Brianna's part, as Ian knew about it, but maybe he never told Jenny.

DC tried to take a shortcut to MCU results and also ignored the warning signs that the vision for the universe wasn't going over well (hopefully WB remembers this lesson with the Wizarding World movies). I think it's hilarious that Aquaman could make a billion dollars worldwide. I wonder if they will use the sequel to try to introduce a recast Superman. It's clear you can make big money with B and C-list superheroes but the thought that they could be making more with their A-list stars will always be tempting.

There are plans for a regular (though still limited) release early next year: It's made $5.7 million so far from those two days of Fathom Events showings.

Holdovers dominate as the big Christmas Day releases flounder (Holmes & Watson is having a particularly poor audience reception). Netflx announced global viewing figures for Bird Box (45,037,125 accounts), which doesn't translate to the same amount of movie theater attendance, but is interesting information to have. Also, World War I documentary They Shall Not Grow Old has made $5.7 million so far in two non-weekend dates (December 17 & 27). That's probably because of the dream diary of Bree's that Roger read (he was looking through some sketches of hers, found the writings, and of course he's a fictional character who didn't stop reading soon enough). Anyway, she recounted a dream of having great sex with her eyes closed, presuming it was Roger, only to open her eyes in the dream and see it was Stephen Bonnet. She wrote about how this was really upsetting to her and it being difficult to shake. She wanted to remember the various aspects of it and reassure herself that it was okay, it was just a dream, etc., but part of wanting to remember everything about the dream was wanting to remember how the Stephen Bonnet dream sex felt, how she had the big O, basically, and how she could do it again with Roger. This is in Chapter 38 of The Fiery Cross. Don't imagine the show is getting anywhere near that development! The books said that Brianna had an American accent, but I remember leanring that the stereotypical Boston accent wouldn't have been found among the upper middle class and up, and also recalled Conan O'Brien joking that the Kennedys were the only people in Massachusetts who talked the way they did. So, I guess I imagined Bree having a "neutral" TV anchor accent, more or less. A person who grew up in America with English accents at home and American accents at school could end up anywhere in between the two, realistically. Show Bree is already so different from Book Bree, and if Sophie's acting would significantly improve by not having to concentrate on the accent, then IMO just let it go. She can still have a modern American mindset without particularly sounding like she's from there, and they can just never mention that her accent has changed from before. I feel like I've watched a dozen Michael Caine or Anthony Hopkins movies where they start off sounding American and just gave up halfway through it without any sort of explanation or anyone else in the story noticing.
