That skirt is sublime. My mom, sis and I saw the Met show and it was breathtaking! Mom and I watch PR and at one point I just stopped and had to say that it seemed like almost every PR designer copied him. A real eye-opener. Appreciate the added info CRAMPS. Gone way too soon.

Absolutely! And I honestly don't know where Derrick sitting with a furrowed brow, looking over a workbook, in Guatemala, supports that. I think of immersion as total immersion but could easily be wrong. Haven't they gone to American chains there? Their back and forth travels have left me confused.

It has been said that child/tween stars' development stops at the time of their biggest wave of popularity. They kind of just stay that age and Raven appeas to fill that slot. Britney, Justin, Lohan et al just never really mature. Candy Crush for the POTUS? Good grief. That's worse than a beauty queen's peace-for-the-world answer.

I think it is going to be difficult for any nations to have a national identity. The global economy, mass migrations etc. are, imho, going to have an effect. Though I doubt that's what Raven was going for. And I actually agree with her re: the hyphenate American.

I'm just glad he called out the judges. I was amazed what the juniors were able to do last go-round! I didn't watch the whole thing, not really a kid person, but was amazed at what I did see.

Oh. Those fanny packs. I couldn't believe Tim kind of encouraged their addition. If she was so determined to include them, imho, she should have made them really over the top crazy. Otherwise they're just, to me, kind of sad little sacks.

From hoodooznoodooz page 2 post A twofer! An L Ron schizophrenia diagnosis and a Tommyboy smackdown.

At first I was concerned that Happyfatchick's Harry Chappin earwig might stick. But I live in SWFL and Chapin lives on through his Foundation which makes possible the Harry Chapin Food Bank. I, and many, hear his name often. Bless him. But his songs were kind of downers. As was The Giving Tree. I read it for the first time as an adult and was caught completely off-guard. I'm thinking, This is in the children's section? I find it depressing.

S06.E05: Ethiopia
NewDigs replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown [V]
I could not believe it when I flipped to this show the other night! Big fan of Bourdain and love Marcus Samuelsson. I'm about 3/4 through MS's (audio)book Yes Chef. And he reads it! What a story. His is an incredibly moving journey. I've misted up more than once, not always a good thing whilst driving, and have been so impressed and amazed with his drive and accomplishments. And gorgeous couple! Hope they get together by the end of the book. I missed some of her backstory. Then to see his pure joy and elation in Ethiopa made me grin like a lunatic. I need to see it again. AND I need to eat at RR next time I visit my sister. Or, really splurge, at Aquavit. -
Shame they can't add intelligent to that list.

All Hail Xenu

Makes me wonder if TommyBoy isn't the one planting the stories about all of Katie's subterfuge. Also wonder if his sister is still his publicist. I don't think she's smart enough to plant stories or wrangle Tom.

I think that wings707 is correct in predicting the decline and fall of Scientology. Their membership is in serious decline and in order to support the hubris of Miscavige that membership needs wealth. They have huge ugly almost empty buildings all over the world. I might have the numbers wrong but I think that LWright reported barely 50,000 members worldwide. I recently saw a number for the US of 25,000. I do remember it being stated in Going Clear that there are more Rastafarians than scienos. At least if/when the Catholic church is dismantled there will be beautiful artworks and structures. The Co$ will offer tin cans and prisons.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
NewDigs replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
I'm having a difficult time processing this. Would Boob and Mechelle really let that happen? The grands on assistance? The mind. It reels. -
Good grief. Why is no one bringing up Fiorina's ragged ass tenure at HP? And I think plenty of comments have been made about Hillary's appearance. Remember the first time she did her own hair? Maybe Fiorina should be glad they're concentrating on that and not her business record. And I'm guessing the Spew didn't bring it up either.

Not to mention the ID network is not the latest "Tiffany" network. Not even close.

I've wondered about the relatively easy split and about Suri's custody, and paternity, too. Part of me believes some of this had to have been hammered out well in advance. He quite unceremoniously dumped Nicole right before his income became community property per CA law. Tom and Katie were either at or approaching that 10 year mark themselves.

Milania: Gimme Pizza You Old Troll
NewDigs replied to FaithsMum's topic in The Real Housewives Of New Jersey
I'm not a big "kid " person and have a special impatience with precocious kids so Milania sends me to a very uncomfortable place. I think too often the precocious child is humored along and even encouraged in their behaviors. Behaviors that, imho, don't always transfer well into real world engagements. Boundaries! Respect! I don't know about anyone else but I would not even now, at my rather advanced age, call anyone an old troll. Or make Milania type demands. Now, get off my lawn! -
Bolding mine iirc, a younger Katie was huge TC fan to the extent that she was rumored to have had a poster of him over her at-home-with-mom-and-dad bed. She seems, to me, to be a blank. Her dad is the hero.

Of course it has to be on that Thursday. And, for me, it involves morning mimosas, the Macy's parade, the National Dog Show, getting a start on the Christmas decorations and overeating throughout. Small gathering these days but special. Chicklet, all you have left are the Whoppers? I hope you aren't complaining.... (I love Whoppers)

And if Jeffrey has control issues with candy don't give him the opportunity to collect 2 bags of candy! Is that one t-shirt on a wire hanger? Someone needs to take her phone/tablet away.

And cave paintings don't always exhibit talent for perspective. The painter might not have known how to depict the animals' bits and pieces properly. Kind of a, Where do I put the other thingy that's on its head? Unicorns in the bible. Hm. The things I learn here. Thanks for the info.

I don't object to Sherrie trick or treating, I object to her rather convoluted, pat myself on the back tweets. Did she hide the candy in her apartment? And if so, a great big, Huh??? And if she hid the candy why did she hike Jeffrey through 132 floors to get two big bags of candy that she then took away from him? And then she went to throw it away in front of him? And took his Butterfingers. Geesh. Had she said that Jeffrey loved his Batman, or whatever, costume and got a kick out of ringing doorbells for candy and they had to try to not eat too much, to me, that's closer to normal than what she says they/she did.
