^^^ $200. for a weekly food budget sounds low. imho I guess kids eat less but Manhattan prices are substantially higher. I can walk out of Publix $80. lighter and with what seems, to me, to not be a lot. Esp. If fresh produce is involved. He doesn't look quite so sleazy in those pix. I think he eased off the gel.

MSNBC: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (Vaulted)
NewDigs replied to Jaded's topic in Political Network Talk
I agree. I groaned, loudly, when I saw her boarding Hillary's plane. -
Oh good grief. "“Long story short, the Lord began systematically humbling me in ways that I didn’t think were possible to be humbled in such a way,” Vuolo said." That surprised me. That he was ready to call it quits. And that he took cues from his parents to stay-the-course. He had any easy out. Blame god!

Hardball With Chris Matthews - General Discussion
NewDigs replied to Lisin's topic in Hardball With Chris Matthews
Wow. Chris M. just held Guiliani's feet to the fire re: Trump never saying that Obama is the rightful prez. and also Hillary's team not starting that rumor. He got Rudey to, finally, say he didn't believe the birther argument to be true but he stopped at speaking for Trump. Which, imho, says a lot. I hadn't even heard the Hillary-started-it regarding the Obama-birth-certificate thing. And had forgotten how invested in the birther movement Trump had been. -

I think they must be absolutely tone deaf. I can see B doubling down on Nasty. One can hope. But, does she really feel anything? -
And I have difficulty blaming the victims. Sure, some victims could have acted in a less confrontational manner. Doesn't mean they should be killed. Or deserve to die. Imho

Boris is, to me, the most aggressively annoying Trump-surrogate. If we can all see it why can't the trained professionals figure out how to shut that asshole down? Emails! Foundation! Lying! Or just don't have him on. Gah! -
^^^ On my list. Though I can't really be trusted with so many. The Nice! products I've tried have been good. Thanks!

Bold mine. Ya' gotta start 'em young. He's pretty darn cute.

I lasted five minutes. If that long.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
NewDigs replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
Did they offer the same "guidance" to Jill and Jessa? How embarrassing. And sad. I wonder if they know that they're supposed to experience pleasure. Nah. (Gotta lay off the beer.) -
Oh dear. "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times." Sorry HFC and ZM are currently experiencing less than optimum situations. But I think that prevailing over adversity is a hallmark of PTVers. Be well. And strong!
-
Bold mine. Until I looked at the background it looked like the kiddies were rolling that "tunnel" down a hill. Maybe she was going for that? Or I've had one beer too many. Both? And the Dug-genes... Once you see JB you can't unsee him. Poor kids. Otherwise a cute and happy scene.

Bethenny Frankel: Skinny Girl
NewDigs replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
Maybe this is Bethy's way of trying to get her own show while throwing Andy under the bus proving Andy "wrong". She's like that. Must win! At all costs! -
Great news all around. So many successes. Faboo!! (I want a red Jeep)

This? Jana must have been sewing 'til her little fingers bled.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events

Anna. The "victim". -
How did I miss a new Alan Banks book? One of my fave procedurals. Sometimes I wish I could click on something and hear the music Banks listens to. The whole series is so good but for some reason the one that sticks with me is The Dry Season with clues found in a reservoir-area recently exposed by drought. And I, too, am not a spy fan nor a thriller fan so was disappointed when book 4 of Kristina Ohllsen's Fredrika Bergman series found the characters, I dunno, out of charcter? And in totally different jobs. Not a procedural. Boo! Thanks for the Robinson heads-up.

And the poor little Ms, and Anna, will also have to live with, Why didn't she leave that creep? Sad. -
I was surprised they had disposable diapers on hand for emergencies. I assumed they only used disposable so major points from me for laundering. And they mentioned a cistern but I have no idea what kind of catchment system they have in place. We have a normal metal roof and could collect water just from overnight high humidity (Florida) and a steeply pitched roof can work a treat. I assumed they had towels etc. up 'cuz they were too lazy to buy and staple up some curtains. Black-outs aren't all that expensive and the film @MunichNark mentioned is a great idea. Never heard of damp towels having a cooling influence unless applied directly to the body. I guess it wasn't this thread but someone mentioned solar showers which work great but can get scorching hot. Zika, God? Jesus? Prayer? I wouldn't doubt that both "Zika-girls" are already pregnant 'cuz ^^^^^^^ they think they got that covered. These people wear me out.

Ramona Singer: The Turtle Time Walk of Shame
NewDigs replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
Bold mine I hope Bethy's receipts are properly timestamped. Does that woman save everything? I guess potential evidence is always helpful when you're on a mission to save the world. Gah. Didn't Ramona spill something on her dress and B offered a replacement from the wardrobe dept. which Moaner wore home, or something? Imho it was not that big of a deal. And I bet B still has the textseses. It wasn't like she stole it from Bethy's closet. I'm surprised she went on the show. Talk about painting a target on your back. And I guess it's okey-dokey for B to gossip but no one else? -
Dum dums. The irony.

So happy for you and yours, @Happyfatchick! What a frigging nightmare you've been living. Esp. with them so far away. What a relief. But now that she's back with you there will be even less chance of her changing her mind. And even better that the board is clued in. Stay strong! But I'm sure there's no problem with that. Maybe it's time for the happiest place on earth?
