As you said, those ARCs have covers printed with what kind of publicity and advertising that the publisher is investing in that title. Bookbuyers get boxes and boxes of the things. (I miss that job) They're a really big deal to publishers. Big investment. Very unusual. Almost has to be a legal issue. A mystery! What was this thing's title?

I think they're already on the order form? (been a while) I'd love to know more. How she is unable to cobble together a cookbook is a mystery. Adam's photos of his food are gorgeous and could take up a lot of page space. Run the recipes through some kind of plagiarism software, stir in some personal anecdotes and voilà!
