  1. Yes, I saw that she posted her Housewife picture on Insta the same day that Bravo released the official pic of the Housewives with their diamonds. It made me feel kinda bad for her, and it reminds me of a comment she dropped tonight about wanting the place cards because she was worried she might be sitting at a table by herself. I can see why viewers are immediately taking a dislike to her but I think she's motivated more by insecurities than maliciousness. I haven't seen Garcelle from that point of view but thanks for the eye-opener.
  2. They're both playing the role of the villain but Camille has a different technique in that she will play nice to someone's face and back stab, while Sutton is all about putting both of her feet in her mouth. Camille is really good at the housewives' game. It's too bad Sutton didn't seek her out for some pointers. I wish the editing monkeys were showing clips of Erika's designer name-dropping from her early seasons when she mocks Sutton for talking about couture or ready-to-wear. That was one of the things that really annoyed me about Erika when she started. Has Rinna ever ass-kissed another housewife as much as she's kissing Sutton's? I don't remember ever seeing this side of her before. Teddi's son asking why the new baby is a girl was funny. Faye's facial expressions when the dinner party game got awkward made me chuckle, too. It's odd the Sutton is getting so much airtime and she didn't get a diamond. I don't recall that ever happening with a first season "Friend of" housewife. Usually only happens with a full housewife who got demoted.
  3. If he's not yawning, he's smirking through his lines. I don't think he can make it through an episode without smirking when it seems inappropriate for the scene. Orpheus' family drama is fun with Zoey being openly hostile to her father and Christian being somewhat sheepish as he's stuck in the middle of them. It helps that George DelHoyo has a menacing charm about him. I thought having Hope eat part of Steve's sandwich was harder to believe than Marlena refusing to extend an olive branch. Abigail's hallucinations are the best. I think that's the most consecutive Abigail scenes I've watched in a long time.
  4. I still remember how she said something like "this isn't your grandmother's soap anymore" when she killed Maureen Bauer off of Guiding Light. Ugh.
  5. I like to imagine that there's a restaurant or bar they hang out at after filming and laugh about the absurdity of the writing. This time spent together allows them to bond, and these friendships are the main reason they're able to work on the show and keep their sanity. The baby that Sarah took to Paris is a DNA match for Brady/Kristin. I'll be surprised if Jake isn't Stefan's long-lost-secret twin brother, that way he gets to be a DiMera somewhere down the line. They don't like to introduce characters who aren't connected to someone already on the Show.
  6. Oh, good point. I wondered why the Show felt it necessary to have Kristin take another shot at killing someone, when they rarely use these things to develop character. But it makes sense that they'll use it as a way to sweep a bunch of crimes under the rug all at once. Do you think Camila Banus does her own hair and makeup? Because Kate Mansi's hair looks pretty bad for someone who's on a television show. I've started to wonder if Lauren Koslow does her own hair and makeup, because she usually looks better than most of the other actresses when she's on screen. It was fun watching Kristin and Xander go at each other. It's nice when two morally bankrupt characters get to rub each other's noses in their own stink. I feel like we've watched Brady and Victor do that You're-Dead-to-Me song and dance before, so that fell a little flat for me. But perhaps it was meant to be an example of how we all fall into repetitive patterns, if the Show is bold enough to make such an observation. Maybe none of them can make real changes in their lives, just like the sands falling through the hourglass.
  7. It seems to me that Serac, or any leader in a world like this, would be actively working to defuse the situation by having the most skilled spin doctors out there trying to calm the public by explaining the whole thing away. Perhaps even saying that it was a glitch on Rehoboam's part. So while I think all of those responses are highly likely, I find it difficult to believe that whoever is in charge isn't out there trying to stop #TeamAbandonment and #TeamRebellion before they cause too much damage. Now I wonder if we're supposed to be asking why Serac isn't trying to clean this mess up as quickly as possible, or if we're supposed to be noticing that he's allowing it to happen.
  8. It's funny that she got that wrong, and then she seemed appalled that Kyle didn't know about Yacht Rock. I'd say more people know that van Winkle woke up from a long sleep than people who've heard of Yacht Rock. Gabrielle has a segment in which she talks about how her marriage came to a dramatic end. She has brunch with Erika in another segment, then she's on again at the end for Sutton's boutique opening. I think part of her charm is that she seems utterly clueless that she's trying too hard.
  9. If he doesn't commit a felony within the next few days, he probably won't stick around for long. There are standards to live by in Salem, USA. I did appreciate the surprise of a new character showing up. I had no idea who was going to turn around in that chair. After weeks of showing us the softer side of Kristin, I'm a little surprised they've taken her in such a shrill and annoying direction so quickly. I was enjoying the break from the Rage-O-Holic variety of Kristin. And weren't they at the Police Station?
  10. "You're such a [bleep] liar, Camille!" is on right now.
  11. Is Dolores capable of character growth? Without Serac, who would look out for the survival of the human species? Maeve has said she doesn't give a damn about the humans. We know that Paris, and likely its surrounding areas, was destroyed by a thermonuclear event, so it's possible other areas have endured similar catastrophes. But the look of the cityscapes in this world are certainly more impressive and lively looking than anything seen in the bleak BladeRunner universe. Humans are quite adept at finding evidence to support their specific point of view whether there is evidence to the contrary, or not.
  12. Dolores may have some idea that the possibility for Halores to bond with Charlotte's family exists, because she explains to Halores that they chose to keep their emotions rather than burn them from their code. It's a curious choice for them to keep their emotions intact when they believe they're fighting for the survival of their species but she did say something about their victory possibly being meaningless without them.
  13. Are you sure that Rehoboam is making you watch it?
  14. It's hilarious that any long time citizen of Salem is shocked when anyone comes back from the dead. Maybe the Show is trying to say it's one of those things you never get used to but it could be a little more fun to watch if the script writers were allowed to inject some wit and self-awareness into these scenes. Loved Justin dropping that nugget of information into Steve's lap, and then leaving the room for John to deal with. Orpheus messing with everyone's head will be fun if they can refrain from turning him into a mustache-twirling maniac, which is nearly impossible for this writing team. Enjoyed him toying with Rafe.
  15. If the ending was happy, it was only because the show closed with Lily hugging Jamie. Any claim made by Forest or Katie was unreliable. Forest and Katie believed no choice could be made in the deterministic timeline and they were wrong, so there's no reason to believe that the simulation Lily and Forest were in was Paradise-like. Katie tells the Senator that there's no distinguishable between the simulation and reality but that's not true because Lily knowing there is a difference will be the difference for her. In the end, I feel like the show is less about whether the Universe is one of determinism or free will, but more about how susceptible the human mind is to self-deception. I'll probably change my mind tomorrow.
  16. I'm finishing up my FREE DR ROLF sign as I type this. Meet me outside of the Salem Police Department? Hope's fascination with all of the rotten things she did as Gina is fun. She's well on her way down a rabbit hole. It's nice that Jennifer is finally in a good place in her life but I miss those days when she carried the weight of the world on her shoulders.
  17. No, I don't think they do. And some of us who do know who she is wish we could bleach her from our mind. At least if Kyle had tried to squeeze Nicky into that soundbite, I'd have some respect. Nicky is a fashion designer. Paris is a marketing ploy.
  18. Aaron gives me a typical-Los Angeles-opportunist vibe, so they're probably using each other. But I think that's just a part of how people live in LA. Dorit helping Kyle with her show was the most bearable she's been since her first season. I'm usually able to appreciate the housewives, flaws and all, but Dorit's scenes are the closest I get to hate-watching. Kyle claiming that Paris is a fashion icon was hilarious. I was fine with Sutton's snarky comments but I can see why she didn't get a diamond in the opening sequence. I don't think she realized what she was signing up for. Garcelle was fun and playful, which brings a totally different dynamic to this franchise. I can see her stealing the show. They were breaking the fourth wall in that preview with all of the Denise drama. I hope that means that the producers are finally recognizing that some viewers realize a lot of this is manufactured, and they're trying to incorporate that into the show.
  19. Looks like they found a way to make that happen, lol!
  20. Too much crying for my taste. I'll have to rely on you guys to decide if I'm going to watch any of these loved ones moments.
  21. If you consider that in the deep recesses of Sarah's mind she's always known that Mickey isn't hers, as that flashback leads us to believe, then her going-through-the-motions ceremony with Xander was one more way for her to prolong her confrontation with tragedy. So while I was initially frustrated that she didn't rip his face off the moment she walked in, it actually gave the story more depth with her forcing her way through those vows. This whole year has been like a ticking time bomb for her that she hopes will never go off. I think I'm impressed that she's such a masochist.
  22. On the bright side for the show, HBO doesn't rely on those live numbers for advertisers. My understanding is that they consider repeat airings and the numbers from online platforms to count total viewers, and some of their shows grow exponentially throughout the week.
  23. What if being in a place of not knowing why something happens is the most freeing place that we can be? What if Forest didn't have to build a quantum computer and destroy people's lives to be free of the torment of his wife and child dying? What if he didn't have to figure anything out and just allowed himself to not know why it happened? Who am I kidding? No one would ever believe that. I thought the show did a better job of making Pete look like a dirty homeless guy than they did at making the people who lived in that cave all their lives look like people who've lived in a cave all of their lives. Speaking of Pete, I liked that his speech to Lily was short and sweet, and then he left her there to figure out what to do next on her own. I thought they were going to pan up to show us Katie pushing Lyndon to his death, and although I'm not quite sure why Katie would do that, I was a little disappointed that she didn't. She didn't try to stop Lyndon, though, so there's still that.
  24. What's the standard by which you're judging Evan Rachel Wood? Do we currently have humanoid robots who've achieved consciousness, and I've been missing out?
