  1. You could tell Ryan was trying SO HARD with that host chat. I remember when Carrie was on American idol and she had that same zero charisma issue. Which is so odd, since I've seen performances of her on TV where she seems to be super charismatic. Must be all or nothing with her.
  2. This show is my favorite of the new season. The cast is perfect and TER's voiceovers are... soothing? Hope the ratings ate doing well!
  3. Biracial hair struggles must have been a big deal in Tracee Ellis Ross' real life, too, as she just launched a line of curly girl hair products.
  4. I adore Santamonica as the child captures the essence of the character and you can totally see how she becomes the grown up we've seen. I am really enjoying this show and found the lesson on hair both informational and enjoyable.
  5. This is the best overall episode I've seen in a while. Loved the Pence themed cold open and I laughed at least once in every sketch. I FF-ed through Taylor Seift, even though I like her. The new guy doing the Tariff bit on WU was hilarious!
  6. They could have cut out the whole assassination plot line. Would rather them have fleshed out the Tom/Lucy story a little more. But who am I kidding? I'm a sucker and loved every minute of it! Eta: I wonder what happened with Mr. Mason since Daisy was going to live with him at the end of season 6 and it was implied that he and Mrs Patmore were developing a relationship.
  7. Ainsley and Bryce could have gotten married right there, just the 2 of them, since the minister showed up in the church. There's a huge difference between having a wedding and getting married. I loved this show and hope it comes back!
  8. Yeah, Gemma didn't exactly soften expression-wise when Duffy declared his love 😜 I am still enjoying the heck out of this show, though!!
  9. I find myself I find myself looking forward to new episodes every Wednesday. I loved when Gemma told Duffy to basically get his head out of his ass (he needed that!). I agree that the secondary characters are even more interesting than the leads. I don't know how they will get Kash and Maya together without Ainsley getting ticked off, but I guess we'll see!
  10. Having been subjected to watching the Bachelorette with teenage Shipmate the past few weeks, I found the Love Chalet bits hilarious! Duffy and Gemma are inevitable and, quite frankly, make more sense than Duffy and Maya. Maya is gonna wind up with Kash as endgame.
  11. This relationship has disaster written all over it. Hope Duffy doesn't get his heart broken (but it's likely).
  12. Yes, I know the writing is weaker this season, but can't help but have a soft spot for Nick and June. I would rather her be with him than original-recipe husband.
  13. I stayed through the first few credit scenes. Did I miss something at the very end end of the credit scenes?
  14. I'll be alone on this island saying Laine annoys the heck out of me. I think he views himself as young Elvis. And he doesn't open his mouth when he talks. His talent is overshadowed by this stuff for me.
  15. Ryan is the guy your best friend keeps going back to and you can't convince her there are tons of red flags and she deserves better.
  16. I only just discovered the Americans and binge watched all 6 seasons over the past several weeks. That ensemble was stellar and, while not wanting to take anything away from the quality of the This is Us cast, the Americans deserved it more, IMHO.
  17. I have never been into Christmas movies but this weekend I have watched 4 (or 5?). I refuse to watch any that involve ice sculptures in the plot, though! I have enjoyed them more than I thought I would. We got rid of cable (yay!) so I am limited to the movies on Netflix. Okay - the Spirit of Christmas - I need to talk about this one. I enjoyed this one but the ending left me totally confused. Exactly how do they plan to make this work? Is he just going to show up every December for 12 days? Is he allowed to stay there all the time now (but in his current form and never sleeping?), did he become totally human? What is going to happen in, say, June when she wants to head to the beach - can he go? I know it's fiction and not that deep, but I'd like a sequel to this one - so many unanswered questions!
  18. I loved the dresses in tonight's episode, especially both dresses the girl with the 2 uncles tried on. They were hard to choose between. So refreshing to not have a strapless dress in sight! I can't remember the last episode where at least one bride didn't want a strapless mermaid.
  19. I could have listened to another couple hours of the 2 of them talking. 2 of the best interviewers in the business!
  20. I'll just say it, the Amy this version is a selfish little bitch.
  21. Watching the Royal wedding this past weekend, when I saw Meghan Markle's classy, simple, elegant dress, all I could think of was our crass American brides that wind up on this show... Like the one who wanted a dress that would show off her "crack". sigh....
  22. As a Phillies fan (hey, we're rebuilding!) I loved this episode! Fun fact: WIP really is Philadelphia sports radio and the announcer they used is still the lead morning show guy! Erica singing AGAIN, though. Ugh. they need to stop trying to make Fetch happen.
  23. Hey Producers, THIS is the Trading Spaces your audience wants to see! Nice people, thoughtful design(ers) and to show creative use of space while on a budget.
  24. We told the ship-kids the only way we were getting a dog is if they were willing to pick up poop in the back yard. Junior missed an ample opportunity for a lesson there ?
  25. I normally hate all of the tacky theme weddings, but something about the half marathon runner and specifically her fiance made them very likable to me. I think it was because he is clearly crazy about her!
