  1. I'm glad they finally acknowledge that Al-Anon exists, but there's no way Marjorie wouldn't be busting Bonnie's chops for trying to be Adam's sponsor. Program couples work when they stay out of each other's nuts-and-bolts programs, and support each other's principles. Ugh ugh ugh. On a program level, episode was BAD, on a comedy level, it was okay. I'm about ready for the series to be wrapped up, but I'm going to miss the characters.
  2. Didn't Natasha do very well with previous guests and their dining setups? Or am I mis-remembering? I mean, yeah, she's whiffed on this charter, but NINE PEOPLE. You cut corners where you can (no garnishes when mealtime is moved up earlier, hollandaise on the food instead of in a little pitcher, whatever it is) to try to get the food out all at the same time. NINE PEOPLE. With at least 3 different "menus" (kids, young adults, adults...) I don't think any of the previous BD chefs could handle it either. That's restaurant crew and timing work, with an expediter. I also noticed Barrie said "no buffets" when they said "family style" meals.... the end result being individually plated. Chief Stew (blonde #5??) should have stuck with, "right, no buffets. Breakfast and lunch will be family style, however. These are not buffets..." (like the big bowl of french fries Nat sent out at dinner.
  3. multiple people asked variations of why Mike's friend didn't just use her credit card -- there were plenty of times in my life where I either didn't have a credit card, or didn't have room on it for any purchases. I remember coming back from a work trip (pay on my card, employer eventually reimburses, shitty shitty company policy!!!) and having to call to find out if I had enough credit left for a sandwich in the airport. Ugh. Am grateful those days are over, but I know they're not for everyone. I was kind of a hold-out on Mike's assholeness, didn't see it as clearly as you guys did, but boy was I wrong!! I need y'all to guide me through re-entering the dating scene because clearly I miss red flags until the flagpole hits me in the face.
  4. Does anyone else wonder whether Paige's butt has been enhanced? When she was wearing the tan bodycon dress and was walking around, it just wasn't... moving with her? reacting the way it should?? I don't know, it seemed like maybe there were some implants going on.... I'm old and can't fathom how the much-dreaded "saddlebags" is actually in fashion now (Paige doesn't have them, but some women celebrate them these days --- good for them!!!!). But in that dress, it was really obvious that something was different in how those body parts moved...
  5. I want Meryl to be my next door neighbor, available for coffee and chats and positivity and bitching.
  6. You're right! I forgot for a few minutes about Covid. How dare you remind me? (shakes fist) 😁😉
  7. I truly cannot tell the women apart (other than Natasha). There are 4 skinny blondes with unhealthy hair. I noticed the difference in chest sizes in the hot tub scene, but don't care enough at this point to match the breasts to the blonde to the job.
  8. She said "he picks and chooses which parts of being Muslim to follow..." so I think her issue was that they already weren't supposed to be living together and doing the nasty, so how was she supposed to know that Ramadan changed that? He never specified it to her. In my church, Mother's Day is a big deal. It's one of the few holidays that consistently has kids (adult or otherwise) coming to services with their families. There's a special reception afterward, the Moms all get flowers, blah blah blah. But really Mother Brandon just needs to walk it off....
  9. or making homophobic comments, or threatening violence. Sounds like good riddance...
  10. According to this blog, Mikey Eyebrows broke a rule that meant he had to go.... https://www.realityblurred.com/realitytv/2021/02/tough-as-nails-mikey-eyebrows-tara-out/ I'm enjoying this show (not as much as season one) but the lack of posting here makes me worried for its ratings...
  11. "I'm getting in the shower!" is code for "if you gotta pee, speak now or wait a hella long time..." when there's only one bathroom. Especially on her wedding day. Or, maybe she was sitting in the room chatting with someone, and "I'm getting in the shower" means "I'll give you privacy." Either way, I don't think it indicates Mike doing something with his friend. And a guy his size sleeping on a couch? Ouch!!
  12. me too, JennyF. I'm confused by the Lizzie-Seb-"we all know how that turned out" comments. I tend to think that the US version has asshat-guys more than the AUS version -- but the AUS women are more likely to be awful! Some of these women need a whole lot of therapy before they date, let alone marry! I guess the difference is that the AUS version isn't a legal marriage, so it's more of a "let's see what happens" than the US "let's try to make this happen"??
  13. I know, I've been missing it too! On demand has 2 episodes, and shows Episode as the next episode, but it's not scheduled. Harumph.
  14. I thought he was touching their feet, but from what I saw online, that's not the custom: Note, I do not remember if Abishola is Yoruba or not.
  15. True!! I don't even agree with Liliana's decision, but I suspect Myrna moving in with Baby Daddy's family softened the blow too much. Does Liliana have 2 children? Myrna and her younger brother? And there's been no mention of their father(s), is that right?
  16. I appreciate Liliana's position that "Myrna kicked herself out of the house" -- actions have consequences. But I have to wonder if Liliana has a history of caving, waffling, giving in?? Because when my parents said "the consequence will be X" that was the law. The consequence was X. Period. By the time I got to potential-pregnancy age, and experimentation with alcohol, etc. I KNEW. I KNEW if I did X, what would happen was Y. I was so paranoid about pregnancy, I used to use the "3 method minimum --- the pill, the sponge AND a condom" LOL LOL (yes, showing my age with the sponge). Yeah, kids do stupid stuff, and don't think ahead, sometimes don't think, period. But if you know your parent's word is law, I think you act differently. Myrna either got pregnant on purpose, Liliana has a history of caving, or she called her Mom's bluff. Heck of a way to learn a lesson.
  17. re: "the only Asian in Philadelphia" -- it's also true that people will name the largest city near where they lived, so they don't have to explain they live in Bedroom Community #35, which is 35 miles outside the city but no one has ever heard of it. My hometown is 50+ miles from Chicago, but saying "I'm from Chicago" serves its purpose most of the time. If someone says "where in Chicago?" I'll say "4th cornfield south" and that's a lot simpler that leading with that. I like Anna, but her posture is horrible. I want to pull her shoulders down, lift her head up to expose her neck. And don't get me started on the cheeks on this show!
  18. Wade is my least favorite character on this show. Seriously, the only thing I like about him is his group of friends. Forrest had me laughing out loud last night.
  19. this!! I do find him very likable too. Did you see the summer show, where they revealed that he was undergoing intense medical treatment (chemo?) when he did his show? He had a feeding tube or something like that, said he couldn't eat solid food the whole time they were shooting. One of the other people said, "Oh! That's why you only ever took one bite of the BBQ!" I appreciated that he just put his nose to the grindstone and didn't play it for drama.
  20. Which bride was it that over-shared about her sister being a lesbian and had children by in vitro and she's been with her partner for a long time? I mean, good to get to know the family, but it seemed like too much detail for the time and circumstances. I seem to recall the groom making a stressed face, hopefully because it was TMI at that time.
  21. Yay! Someone else is watching!! Didn't he tell the guy whose Jeep it is that he wouldn't put more than "10 miles" or some insanely low number on it? And now it's his only vehicle? Yeah, I'm assuming he uses the RV dealer bathroom and the gym showers/bathroom. Don't worry, in the previews we saw a tantrum of a whole 'nother level. We'll see how the women handle the same news....
  22. To recap: Random stranger on Instagram gets to move into Senate candidate's home. Ballsy Blonde talks 2 people into giving up a 25-year business a couple of months into a pandemic (when we had no idea how long the world would be shut down) and put a grocery store in a downtown area (wonder if there is any kind of residential population there?) and ShamScam man sells his own mode of transportation and talks random guy he delivered flyers for into pre-paying him $10,000 for a month of services. Sure, this is all legit. Nothing hinky here....
  23. ..... and we're back!! With not 1, not 2, but 3 new versions of the show!! Version 1: 3 new "billionaires" trying to do what Glenn did, only better? Locations: Pueblo, CO; Tacoma, WA, and Fresno, CA. White male, white female, Black/biracial female (looked like from the picture that her mom was white??) Version 2: Glenn goes back to Erie to save small businesses in just 30 days! First up: The Tipsy Brew, a coffee place also serving alcohol and pastries that can't open until 9 AM Version 3: I think this is the one where Glenn revisits the BBQ place and tries to save it in the pandemic? I haven't watch this one yet, but I think it's scheduled on the DVR. @Mondrianyone, I'm going to need you here! 😉
  24. I agree that Jenna is a spoiled brat, and her dad has some issues he should work out in therapy instead of with his wallet.... but the thing about the rabbit and the crib needing to be set up NOW NOW NOW is over the top. She's only 20 weeks pregnant, calm down folks, there's time.....
  25. My healthy "farm" drink of choice. is there a form of alcohol made from carrots? Asking for a friend... 🤣
