  1. ??? I thought Morgan was, at most, 1/4 Japanese... and Binh is Vietnamese. Am I remembering wrong?
  2. What an episode! First, the Dr & DQ.... the dr said "I'm supposed to call the police" and didn't get to finish his statement. ok, DQ reacted from fear and didn't grok the supposed to part. That makes me crazy! Supposed to =/= I will. The uncle didn't let the doc get a word in to even hear the doc's point. The uncle's BS "life is black and white" ( answers and race) is part of what is going to cause DQ to go back to jail. "He's paid his debt to society, he should be free to do what he wants." Um, no. He probably didn't serve the full amount of his sentence, and probation and parole is an extension of (or in lieu of) serving the full time. Fewer rules, but still restrictions.... to help transition back into a free life. Successfully finish all your time, then you are free. Okay, online clothing lady... not even one day of household and items respect?! That is not going to end well. I never got the sense that her best friend had been given much notice or much information about the situation before it happened. Very odd. I wonder if it was a way to move her bestie out without having to actually do it? When she was originally going to move to a 2 bedroom, was bestie moving onto the couch there? Bill and ShartMark... yeah, everybody is better all apart. All 3 of them. Their relationship is on ice, ya know? It's kinda nice to see a fresher version of a "true life" show, instead of the future versions to come (if any) where people get cast and agree to certain storylines with bad acting included (love after lockup and MAFS, I am especially looking at you!) If there is a program that matches inmates and others, I would hope that it directs them into rules discussions before agreeing to attempt a situation. My exchange students get a set of rules and expectations in advance, and some opt out -- for the best of all of us! I am thinking my next set of students will get rules printed on a unicorn poster though! 🦄 🦄 🦄
  3. sheriff: want sleep? Don't do crime! Want milk or nutrition? Don't do crime! I will end recidivism by making jail so miserable that people Don't Do Crime. asshole... must be a private prison where he gets more money the less he spends. This season is miserable in new ways, ugh!
  4. Words I did not EVER EVER EVER need to hear on MAFS ( or anywhere on mainstream TV, tbh): Deep Throat Spray. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
  5. when I was still 30-something and single, a therapist once said to me, "are you dating boyfriends, or are you dating husbands?" We talked about how I gravitated toward the fun time guys, the "there for the party" guys, not the "I have your back" "we're making a future" guys. Alexis thought marriage would be "fun" -- she thinks of a spouse as an accessory to her good times. I got married at 33 (to a whole HUSBAND), and he was never an accessory to be toyed with and brought around for just the good times. You got your ears on, Alexis??? I wish I could hug Binh and tell him to STOP apologizing. Tell him, okay, he's learned from this experience, go deal with your learnin' and let Morgan stew in the juices of her own making... he'll be a better person from this experience, and she will feel vindicated and RIGHT no matter what. Let her. You do you, Binh, and it'll be okay.
  6. Finale last night... I enjoyed this show. It needs some rijiggering in terms of editing (too much time on general snake "tells" for example), but they have cast some interesting people, and used some decent clues. Too bad it didn't get more buzz, wonder if it will be back.
  7. Don't forget that their daughter has a working makeup vanity and full storage system -- but no toilet!! And the daily fine of $250 is LESS THAN a night's room at their "crappy hotel!" Pardon me, if the hotel room costs 250+ per night, I think by definition it is at least a step above " crappy!" Ugh. These people are beyond hate-watch for me. They fall into the Too Stupid To Live category!
  8. "Not being Puerto Rican enough" ==/== "being Puerto Rican" Anyways, I will admit to being pleasantly surprised that Lindy hasn't spiraled out of control yet... and kinda mad that I'm liking Nate after the "on your knees" early Morgan-level hatred I had for him. (Dabs eyes) I'm a good person, y'all!
  9. He definitely said "New York" not "NYC" so he could have lived somewhere else in that huge state. Also, I tend to believe someone who recounts their experience with sexism, racism, colorism, ageism, etc until they give me a reason not to believe them. My experience and perception is not theirs. As a 60+ year old woman, I have experienced enough dismissal in business (and other) settings to know when the Good Ol' Boys Club is at play... so I believe Miguel when he shares his experience. Do you think Morgan DMs Alyssa to talk about how such 2 wonderful women were so unfairly betrayed? As the saying goes, they can't use what you don't give them! It was nice to see Stacia's second family and hear about her high school experience. Were they at the wedding?
  10. I accidentally didn't FF through BIG Ed and Liz and their "photo shoot lessons" and that is not a mistake I will make again. First Liz tells him she knows how to use a camera and shuts him down about needing to learn any of that.... then she flips her lid because Ed dared to talk to the model (Liz's friend). Gee, could it be that this is part of the skill a photog develops and uses? Nah, Ed was just flirting and not bowing to Liz's insane demands. lesson learned, FF forever!
  11. because they..... lost everything!! (sorry, just a riff on the opening to the show.... but a girl can dream!)
  12. Yeah, the child's decor was OTT, but I see nothing wrong with a household of vegetarians in accordance with their religion saying that someone can't put meat in their fridge! They aren't telling him not to eat meat, just not in their home. That's fair.
  13. That confused me too, except I realized that they DON'T show wrong answers. If they showed the guess, it was right. I enjoyed this show, hope it comes back for a second season!
  14. I bet the sandwich on the register thing is because it contains meat. He knew going in that they were vegetarians and devout 7 Day Adventists, a little bit of asking about their faith could have been a good thing! I still wonder what producer shenanigans led to the wife picking him up by herself, hubby should have at the very least gone along! I totally agreed with Artie that her "roommate" should have stuck around for awhile when he got there, and should not have been no-contact for 2 days. That's not controlling or jealous -- that is basic respect and appreciation! Something that he has probably not been required to show before, but Go Artie Go!
  15. Other than Aaron, Junior and Doug, I have no idea who any of these people are. Nor do I care. Boy, they sure whiffed on this version of the show!!
  16. I didn't rewatch the video, but I recognized the prank right away. The thing I remember about the video was how good-natured and fun the guys took it. They fell over laughing!
  17. The matching shirt prank was a viral video awhile ago, I hope this link will work: https://www.timesnownews.com/videos/viral-videos/husbands-made-to-wear-same-shirt-to-restaurant-epic-wives-prank-gets-10m-views-video-93117361
  18. I agree with those of you talking about the divots in the table, what a pain!! And it seems like all the home Reno shows these days have the "wall feature" of 1x2s stapled to the wall in geometric designs. All I can think is "WHO is going to dust those?!?!" I want to sneeze just looking at them!
  19. This was crazy! Looking forward to this season!
  20. This. And I was all steamed up with one dog on a leash, and one not. You just DON'T DO THAT with dogs who don't know each other well. It's a power-imbalance thing that dogs really take seriously. It's the reason that there's a buffer zone at doggie daycare or dog parks, where you leash or unleash your dog before entering or exiting. When my dog is on her leash, she is connected to me, and wants to protect me... when she is off leash, she's a dog, free to be a dog among other dogs. Their nonchalant "oh, maybe we should have Googled how to introduce dogs" was the most telling part of that episode. Ya think?? I'm very sorry her dog got hurt, but it was on the humans to prevent it. Period.
  21. Only in these people's lives would a ceiling for an airplane hanger be more important than finishing an office, doing what they can on their home, getting stuff in order at their "fully booked resort" or, you know, finding a new place to live... I'm glad Bryan got his 10-day RV drive time. I'm sure he needs to decompress after all that he has to do for Lady Ego.
  22. He told her the date with very short notice, told her the location (9 hours drive, I think they said?), and wouldn't change any of it when his parents said they couldn't get off work at that short notice or for that long (3 days, I'd guess). I don't blame his parents at all for not going. They spent many weeks asking when the wedding would be, told him in advance they couldn't go that far on such short notice. He is free to make his own decision, but he is not free from the consequences of his decision. Not everyone has flexible jobs or employers. Parents were NTA, I say.
  23. I honestly thought the church house to be converted into living space downstairs and community center upstairs was a lock for the win-win. Alison could crap it up within budget and still have money leftover to make cosmetic changes upstairs. I was surprised fantasy boy child in a bad wig got the extra screen time. He's toast though, 150k reno is wasted on a 150k house. And, betcha he could remove 100 or so plates from the walls by his owndamnself if he wanted to!
  24. Ugh, that's probably it. Man, the immigration system in the US is SOoooooooo f$#!ed up!! I'll spare you the rant.....
