I watched it on Bravo just a few minutes after the main show.

I enjoyed that episode a lot because I like Martel, can't stand Tiffani and I'm not crazy about Shirley. Or Scott Conant for that matter. I didn't realize how young he is until then. He's talented, creative and personable. I think we'll be seeing him more often.

I like rice but I've never had risotto. I've seen it on cooking shows umpteen times and it never looks good to me. I'm probably wrong about the texture but it just looks gloppy. In any event, if I were a chef in a competition, risotto is one of the last things I'd try to make. It always spells doom.

I got a kick out of the racing sausages but I have to know from someone who has seen them at a game......................... Do they actually do that mincing sort of running, maybe so their giant heads don't capsize, or do they really run at games? Kristen looked cute in her track suit. I was sorry to see Kevin leave but his dish really didn't look very good. I was very relieved it wasn't Dan. Michelle has a winning personality. I'm always happy for her and her food always looks like something I'd want to eat.

I agree and I'd add Martel. He seems OK too. I don't like Mika and keep hoping she'll go. I do like Chris Oh but he's fading fast. I was sorta expecting him to take the cash option and pack it in. I like them too. For some reason, I've always thought that Michael is on the short side so I was surprised to see that he's actually taller than Brian. I've always lliked Marcel. He's all grown up, happily married and has a son he adores. I hope he wins. If not, Martel. Oh lord. I see what you mean. I loathe those two so much that I FF past their segments. I wish Carlos would calm down but I don't actively dislike him.

Yep. I liked all four of them but I think Alex had a much better season and deserved to stay. Nickey had too many "I never did that before" moments to be called a champion. I noticed that Alex was overdoing his soak but I didn't really get Nickey's plate. The judges immediately started praising her dessert (which didn't look cohesive to me) so I knew they'd decided she'd be staying. That same sort of thing happened the year that Jaleesa won - which still makes me angry. I like both Robert and Steven but I think Steven is most deserving of the win.

When did Nyesha become so pretentious? I've lost track of the number of times she's used "levity" to describe a dish. Someone needs to hand her a dictionary.

I read an interview with Soo somewhere in which he said that he had been recruited to be on the show and wanted to do it but his wedding was already scheduled for the same week as the filming of the first episode so LCK was the way they got him on the show. Viewers and reviewers everywhere seem to be in agreement that this season is just off. I'm inclined to think that it's the changes and the way the challenges were designed rather than the chefs themselves. They all have credentials and laurels which we saw in episode one. They can't be as bad as they look. A cheese challenge outdoors when the temperature was 98F got them off to a bad start and they haven't recovered. The Chaos challenge was awful, mostly because the loud slob who introduced it didn't explain it clearly. I didn't get what the judges were looking for, especially after I saw the dish that won. The cheftestants looked equally confused. The producers should stop thinking up gimmicks.

I think you're probably right about this instance but I still don't like her. She hasn't come off well several times already. I hope she and Kaleena are the next two eliminated. Amen. That sleeveless "suit" might have been cute if the pants hadn't been too long and she had had a turtleneck or something under the jacket. The bra part almost down to her abdomen exposing a large expanse of flat chest wasn't flattering at all. If Padma saw this episode, she's probably still cringing.

Slug-like has to be one of the worst criticisms ever. I wasn't really surprised to see Rasika go after that comment. I was very surprised she didn't do better though as she has seemed like one of the best chefs there. Michelle is one of my favorites so I'm glad she stayed. I like Soo. I hope he makes it to the finale. I didn't understand the challenge any better than the cheftestants.

I had no idea what to expect either and didn't even bother to watch it until last night. I was intrigued and ended up watching both episodes and the next thing I knew it was 1 am. :0 I liked it. The most frustrating thing was the first round when there were several pairings where I wanted both people to stay. Especially Viet vs. Marcel. I felt a bit sorry for Jet having to taste so many things and make so many hard decisions. I was not at all sorry to see Hashtag go. He was Matthew Grunwald when he was on FNS. I don't know why his last name is now Jordan. He was on Chopped last year and his name was Jordan then too. I've thought Elizabeth Falkner is obnoxious ever since her days on the old FN Challenge. Since then, I've seen her compete many times and I don't recall seeing her win anything ever. I'm not sure why she regards herself as a competition powerhouse. I would have known he was a protege of Brian Malarky even if he'd never mentioned it. I didn't like him at all when he was on GGG and TOC but I recently saw him on Wildcard Kitchen and he came off well. He needs to drop the Malarkey shtick and just be himself. And I like Brian Malarkey. He somehow manages to be annoying and likeable at the same time, IMO anyway. Carlos doesn't. One thing that puzzled me was how many chefs were complaining of exhaustion at the 6 hour point. I know they were under a lot of pressure and cooking in a hot and unfamiliar kitchen but I would think most of them are used to heat and pressure and being on their feet for hours.

Alfred was my favorite. I knew he wouldn't win but I still was sorry to see him go. I keep hoping they'll get rid of Remy. I find her annoying. I'm sure she's somebody's little princess. I hope they're done with wasting food (or whatever they use to mimic food) by throwing it at the judges. Hate that.

I seem to remember that the woman who is an owner said something like "When we do the supper club menu....." I had the impression that the venue is usually a regular restaurant but it does supper club menus sometimes.

What I saw was Zach truly not believing that his ravioli were faulty but accepting it because he had no choice - couldn't chance arguing with Gordon. That whole bit looked a bit iffy to me. I rather liked Mada and I felt a little sorry for him at the end. I did not like the forced haka in a corner of a kitchen. He was already eliminated. He should have refused.

Soo seems to be one of the best chefs in the whole competition so I'm glad he made it - even if it was pre-ordained. I like him. I do not like Kaleena so I hope she gets booted again in the very near future. Having said that, her "sandwich" in the first round did look good.

I don't think she was pregnant. When I saw the one bare shoulder, I thought she'd been watching too much Meghan Markle. Then, when the camera pulled back and I saw how short the skirt was, I was horrified. I can't imagine she looked in a mirror before she walked out.

Agreed on both counts. I've been hoping for Remy's departure every week. That egg yolk didn't run at all when they cut into it. I was surprised the editing gave us as long a look at it as they did. I thought Alfred would be going. I have a soft spot for him for some reason so I was glad he stayed another week although I think his time has about run out. Lilo is a cute little thing and did well for her age. I thought one of the other two on the bottom would go so I was surprised but she probably wouldn't have lasted much longer anyway. I laughed at her aversion to tomatoes because my younger daughter is the same way about them. Won't touch them or anything made from them, not even pizza with red sauce. She's 54.

So far this season, the judges have sent home the person I thought should go every week. That's never happened before. Kate seemed like a nice gal but baking under pressure just wasn't her thing. Jesse looked great in his "costume." I liked the judges' hats too. Duff looked a lot better in his than he does in that awful knit cap he often wears on other shows.

Declan was a finalist on Hell's Kitchen several seasons ago. As I recall, he came in 3rd. He was also on that feud show hosted by Darnell Ferguson. I can't remember the name of the show right now.

I'd like to know how much information/explanation/practice the contestants get before each episode. I find it hard to believe that all these influencers have the knowledge and/or experience to cook whatever Gordon throws at them. Most of them have probably never made most of the contents of a Bento Box ever. I've lost track but....is Mata the only one left who is actually a chef? Is Zach? I thought the right person went home. Nice girl but didn't cut it this time. I hope the girl who keeps mentioning being Greek goes next. Christine? Something about her has bugged me since the beginning but I can't put my finger on what it is.
