  1. Season 2, Episode 6...yikes! First it was a case of wondering who was going to walk in next..and then came the Emmy submissions. Intense!
  2. Sewing skills are necessary and picked on by the judges....but not always. Allow me to remind you of Anya-Ayoung-Chee who won Season 9. At least Nora had that skill set in her past and could probably call upon it again. Anya won without having much of it.
  3. If true it's just another example of the anti-Teresa pots calling the kettle black. It's weird. I poke around on a lot of sites and have been all season long. At one point there was a lot of anti-Melissa sentiment going on. Suddenly the tide has changed despite Teresa not really having done much of anything that could be construed as truly evil . So she didn't invite Melissa's family. Considering the verifiable proof of how her mother and sisters post about her on social media (and have been for years) I can't say I blame her. Teresa didn't exclude her brother and sister-in-law from the wedding. They did that themselves. They claim a whole bunch about Luis but I haven't seen it backed it up much. It is really beginning to seem as though the anti-T couch has banded together at this point in a play to secure their jobs (what I'm guessing is a major source of income for some in addition to the almighty fame game). Teresa is a lot of things but what's going on at the moment seems really over the top and kind of unfair. Any comments I've heard Teresa make about them in social media and podcasts is nothing compared to the vitriol and nastiness from that side. It's really different than past seasons...
  4. What I remember most about his season was the at home visit to his closet sized apartment where he somehow created all those voluminous outfits. He was a real hard worker too with a lot of drive. I was really happy to see him go on to greater things and I like him in his current role on Project Runway. By the end for me he wasn't the same Tim Gunn that he was in the beginning. Under the Gunn did that in for me and I was never able to see him as benevolent and unbiased after that.
  5. Seemed manipulative to me too. Kind of crappy that she maneuvered the switch after the design and fabric choices were made. Nora's dress had issues, but I can't help but think that fabric against a black model's skin tone would have made the overall look much better. We'll never know...
  6. McMansion is a bit of a stretch for what is just an upper middle class housing development in Indiana and not really at the top of that. The type of place one drives through and thinks these people are doing pretty well for themselves but not big wealth. I doubt a real McMansion would be housing a daycare either. He seems delusional in a lot of ways though... "Yikes!" indeed!! How about that wall of crucifixes behind that one Natalia ally! If I hadn't known anything at all about the situation and someone told me I was watching a mockumentary I would have believed it. Unfortunately I feel like the documentary crew was more interested in featuring the cast of zany characters than delving more deeply into the situation itself. I also have my suspicions regarding the documentation given by the original agency. If the age was altered (though I doubt 1989 as the actual) it wouldn't even have to have been coming from a necessarily bad place but just by an agency desperately trying to make a challenging placement. Not right, but I could follow the logic behind it. There's a big difference between a six year old and a teen or even pre-teen.
  7. Exactly! Why is everything that comes out of their mouths on that side of Andy accepted without question? Didn't the Gorgas claim to not even know the ex business partner? The guy has already said he and Joe Gorga are friends. https://www.celebuzz.com/g/joe-giudices-ex-business-partner-spills-all-on-who-put-teresa-and-joe-behind-bars-claims-they-owe-him-nearly-1-million/3/ Frank Jr. has himself said that there was no issue with the job he had with Luis. Dolores has said the same thing, yet Frick and Frack claim otherwise and it is immediately accepted as fact. https://www.allabouttrh.com/2023/06/14/rhonj-frankie-catania-joe-gorga/ Teresa has been messy in the past but I think the worst thing to be said for her this particular season was the continued "my wedding" and "love bubble" baloney. Melissa and Joe do not come off as innocents in my mind. They seem to be all about the fame and putting on a show of wealth. Their actions this season seemed to me very much a Hail Mary pass to maintain their position. I don't trust anything that Margaret says in addition to her seeming to get a pass for a lot of things which appear to be questionable. The Fudas have come in too hot for my liking. Frank, the disbarred attorney, should be taken at face value?? If Teresa and Luis are going to be judged solely upon their pasts why not the man who also cheated on his pregnant wife? Meanwhile the other couch, with the exception of Dolores, seems mainly messy, but actually much more "real" than the others. Given that this is supposed to be a reality show I prefer messy and genuine more than polished and fake.
  8. Not really sure why I continued watching after the first season but he was the best character out of the entire run. Not sorry to see it end.
  9. I don't disagree with you about that. They made their own bed. Regardless though if there was someone actively trying to add fuel to that fire and Joe and Melissa were in some way involved toward that end it is an entirely different issue.
  10. Yeah, why would anyone contact Margaret's son who is not even on the show, let alone threaten him. It makes more sense that it would have something to do with a hack which even Andy referred to as being an issue.
  11. There are two separate issues here. I totally agree that Teresa and Joe Giudice are responsible for their actions and resulting jail time. If it is true that Joe and Melissa Gorga actively participated in some way by "talking" to someone who went out of their way to turn them in it is something altogether separate from that. Again, not in any way absolving Teresa and Joe but I also have some thoughts on a brother intentionally being involved with turning in his sister for a crime of this nature.
  12. I think I remember there's been gossip recently of the two of them shopping some kind of series of their own.
  13. There were a couple of reports out there at the time alleging it was a lie. What I found interesting was the way Melissa seemed to skirt around it during the reunion episode. Not admitting it was outright bullshit but seeming to try and throw the Joe's statement in a different direction. As for Luis' and David's relationship I think Dina's statement that they are friends holds more weight and here it is straight from Dina's mouth as well as her reason for not attending the wedding. https://www.instagram.com/p/CqtyYi_pE0C/?utm_source=ig_embed&utm_campaign=embed_video_watch_again Not for nothin' but Melissa seems to have gotten the same type of filler as Teresa now. These days it seems like lip fillers along with mouth full of big old chiclet looking veneers is considered to be some kind of "beauty" standard. That is some successful marketing!
  14. That's the part of how things went that I am having trouble with. The first few series overall were frothy, colorful, and funny. Absurd and not exactly real world. By series five it was firmly into dramedy territory ending with the splash of a large bucket of cold water thrown in.
  15. Anybody buy Margaret's version of why her mother didn't attend the wedding? She seems to enjoy being on camera. She doesn't seem to be in tight with the Gorgas. There's lots of reasons not to go to a wedding. I know I'm thrilled to not receive an invitation to the wedding of a mere acquaintance or their family members and have at times declined an invitation if there is one; being on the hook for an expensive gift for someone I am not at all close to being one of the main reasons...
  16. I think this was the best episode of the season so far (which I thought seemed to have lost its way somewhat at the beginning). Not a tear jerker in the typical sense but I will admit that any time I feel I need a good cathartic cry I put on the last 10 minutes of You've Got Mail and have at it. It never fails to open the floodgates. I am going to miss this show!
  17. In all fairness it was being filmed for Bravo and it isn't hard to imagine someone from production telling cast members to check out what was going on for the sake of filmable drama.
  18. I know that things we've been shown make it seem like some red flags in regard to Louis, but I still can't help but think things are just fine at home and off-camera considering how Teresa's girls behave around him and in regard to the wedding in general. They seem genuinely fine with couple and marriage and no doubt can be little hot heads also who would have no issue with speaking their minds otherwise. On the subject of hair, Teresa's wasn't the only 'do of note at that wedding. What in the bleached out straw hell was that atrocity atop Margaret's head? On the subject of Margaret, wtf with the crying! Frankie, Jr. looks to have some competition for best looking housewife son. Little Louis is a nice looking kid.
  19. Having Greg get in with Mattson's crew in earlier episodes could point that way. Mattson has his faults but he has been shown to have a good read on people. Greg is a just an ambitious puppet but one seemingly incapable of making the switch to puppet master...just the type of person evil, scheming, power freak like Mattson and Menken like to have under their control. I've always figured that his character was written in for a specific purpose in the end game beyond simply being comic relief. Now we discover that Logan told Conner about the mausoleum but the other three had no knowledge of it. Up until now it seemed as though Conner was on the outside while the other three were more privy to their father's life. I wonder if this is leading up to something more for his character. I'm guessing that Shiv will get screwed over and that it might send her over a cliff and back to Tom who will let her in but never let her forget her failures. They need to give out joint "best" awards for some of these actors in the fall. They are all so damn deserving!
  20. I think they probably had to. Word is that Teresa and Melissa have not spoken since last August, the wedding no-show being a major reason and the wedding also being "discussed" at the reunion. The wedding no doubt needs to be aired first for appropriate flow and context. I definitely heard flat.
  21. Throw anything at the wall and see what sticks? There are plenty of viewers who read bits and pieces but don't bother putting things together to see if they fit. I've said it before and I'll say it again...all of these people are problematic in some way but there are a few of them who play the game with a bit more finesse and have been able to get away with own bad behavior for a long time. I'm sick of Teresa being the one usually vilified while others are allowed to get away with the things they have said and done.
  22. The way the entire situation played out on screen was spoiled before this season even started to air. Teresa was set up to be damned if she did and damned if she didn't. Regardless of anything else Danielle related she was correct about one thing, and that's why is Margaret not being held to task for her involvement while fingers get pointed elsewhere.
  23. Oh, he's for real alright. Last time I heard about him he was involved in a local missing persons case in my area, but this is how I always remember him, shilling for Arby's: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjsCs5fgSEU
  24. Gandolfini spent a lot of years in the New Jersey/New York area. I would say a good amount of the population in her age group have more than one person they have shtupped in their lifetimes. It wouldn't be a stretch for their paths to have crossed. I think the Streisand story sounds plausible too. But...there is something a little icky about the name dropping because it seems like a ploy to make herself more interesting and she has enough personality that she doesn't need that.
