  1. Season 4, episode 7 of Abbott Elementary (Librarian) had a great shout-out to RHoNJ. It seemed pretty obvious that at least one writer is on to Marge.
  2. To show that production makes baffling choices? I wonder if there was another couple planned that had to pull out and they needed to fill the seats on the set that had already been planned and prepared. Interesting that she up the job which for which she expressed she had such an attachment during her season in order to join production. From Pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist to casting? I think we now have an explanation for some of the people chosen to appear on reality shows. I can't help but wonder how romping around in her underwear on camera and OTT PDA was received by colleagues and clients in her previous profession. I think they did it as a cautionary tale for people entertaining similar ideas in the future by letting them know they will be humiliated on TV if it comes to light. It wouldn't surprise me to learn there is a clause in their contracts making reunion attendance mandatory. I'm not sorry they showcased him and those messages considering the sympathetic edit he received during the episodes. All in all this wasn't a great season. I still think season one of Sweden is the best.
  3. I think AD needs to differentiate between looking fine and being fine. She mentioned Clay's looks too many times for it not to be a thing with her. She seems to even put a big emphasis upon looks regarding herself considering how she preened, postured, and commenced shimmying when her own looks were mentioned. That ridiculously slitted gown! It would benefit her to see beyond the physical. She's got more to offer than that and deserves better in return.
  4. My thoughts exactly. It was like a record skipping.
  5. https://tvdeets.com/ratings/the-real-housewives-of-new-york-city/ Yup! I tried to find the ratings for RHUGT with the RHoNY cast but couldn't find it during a quick search. It seems somebody f***** up good beginning with the decision to put Leah in the original cast.
  6. https://deadline.com/2024/02/andy-cohen-cocaine-leah-mcsweeney-lawsuit-1235840284/ It seems all responsible for inserting Leah into what had been a successful and popular franchise are now getting their just deserts. Plenty of viewers recognized her as a bad casting choice from the very start, but production, et al. doubled down by bringing her back for a second season and even inserting her into Ultimate Girls Trip where she again was not a successful fit. Let's guess if Leah would have had any issue to complain about had she continued to receive the positive attention from Andy and production that she appeared to get in her first season. I can't help but think someone in the powers that be simply had a personal dislike for the original cast of RHoNY and slipped in Leah (and subsequently Eboni as well) hoping they would contribute to tanking the existing franchise and cast so that they could have an excuse to cancel and reboot. Fans be damned. Personally I suspect that ageism against the cast and desired viewer demographics played a major role. Hope they enjoy reaping what they have sown.
  7. Those damn lashes! This is a trend that people are going to look back upon in horror when they see old pictures of themselves in the future. AD was shown with either her own natural lashes or possibly a shorter pair of false ones in at least one scene and looked so much prettier when one could actually see her eyes. The sister's nose rings were way OTT. My distraction was trying to get an exact count but the camera didn't hold long enough. I know, to each their own, but I would hope someone would stop me if I had that notion.
  8. Sadly, I think Brittany simply couldn't compete once his soulmate arrived on the scene...of course I'm referring to his phone.
  9. I'm glad they didn't throw non-reality veterans into the mix again, but, I'd rather the entire show were made up of non-reality veterans. I'm so tired of seeing the same people hanging on to the threads of their TV notoriety. One of the reasons I stopped watching their original shows was because of people being brought back again, particularly since I couldn't stand many of them on their first go round. Good riddance, Parvati. Delicious! Like having cheesecake sandwich.
  10. Just doubling down on her victimhood and pointing fingers at her cast mates.
  11. Monica on the Two T's In a Pod podcast...I can only hope she never returns to the show. Such a victim. If I were Heather I think I'd watch my back because she seems to have some strong feelings about her.
  12. I grew up within 10 miles of where Doris is from in Connecticut. She is not typical of the area.
  13. I wish someone would have put a muzzle on Krisse-ly during the reunion. I get the vibe she considers herself to be the alpha and all wise female of the group. Her chiming in on matters unrelated to herself and Rasmus was annoying. Good luck to Amanda who seems like a genuinely nice person. I still don't understand how she wound up with Sergio, let alone marrying and having his child. I wonder how much Lukas had an issue with Emilia physically or was it also her personality. She was very high on self-esteem. Great for her but that doesn't always make for a good match with others when it's OTT, often stated and perhaps not fully warranted. I mean in her mind she's a great catch, but some other people could have a different gauge of measurement for that. Catja and Christopher...what is there to say. Just a really bad match. It was obvious that she immediately felt it when they met in person. Did she remain as long as she did to see if it would work or because of the television and travel experience? Who knows. I was glad to see that Oskar and Meira seem happy. This franchise seemed more real than a lot of other reality shows. It will be interesting to see how things go with any future seasons.
  14. Oh, no! I just discovered and binged the series on Max the other day but didn't know until reading the forum that season 3 will be the last. I'll have to savor the last few episodes as they are released on Max. I'm gong to miss these characters.
  15. I didn't know there was a dedicated forum to this franchise so I'm copying this from my post under International in the LIB USA forum. Sweden has been interesting! Better than some of the USA seasons. Lots of meat on this bone. Cristofer may be a nice guy but I can see where the flowery language and constant touching could be OTT for a lot of people. Her stone faced, silent stares would be hard to take for a lot of people as well. It was clear from the start that he and Catja were not a good match. She seemed off him from the moment she saw him and he some heavy duty love blinders on. I wasn't crazy about Rasmus at the start but I've turned around on that. He seems to be normal and well adjusted. His whole attitude and outlook in regard to his dog was kind of great and that dog was adorable. Krisse-ly seems a bit high-strung and at this point I'm not sure I'd like to see him end up with her. Sergio and Amanda make no sense together at all. I have to ask, what the hell is up with his hair? I have to know if he cuts it himself because I can't believe that is the result of any kind of professional styling. Emilia and Lucas seem woefully mismatched too. He seems to not be very much into her at all. I thought Meira and Oskar were doomed at first. She didn't seem comfortable at all after meeting him in person but now they appear to the couple with the best chance of pulling this off. The thing I found most surprising is how this bunch overall seemed to be more cautious in regard to approaching initial sex in comparison to other casts.

  17. I see that not so much a put down about having less as much as a put down about putting on a facade about having more. I get the businesswomen jibe also as pointing out they are actually otherwise employed to provide for their families and not just doing what appears to be some half-assed side hustle taking less attention than scheming and plotting to become TV famous. I'm not a huge Angie fan but I get why she said that and I don't think it has anything do with Monica's lack of wealth.
  18. Monica was like a trapped and vicious animal looking for anyway out. When she misheard (if it actually was misheard) Angie's comment about her being low-brow like it was a racial slur she jumped on it like the last plane out of a war zone. Even when corrected it looked like her wheels were still turning on how to possibly make it work for her. I was happy to see her attempts to make it seem the others would not accept her due to her financial status also prove unsuccessful. She's too much, like Jen was too much. Lots of similarities between those two. They both added something to the show but not the type of something that should go beyond one season.
  19. You mean the ones that match his mother's outfit like a prom couple?
  20. I think it got confusing because Lisa's initial reply to Andy's question about Jack being in California was something sarcastic about him bouncing from Columbia and now surfing in California. She then said his departure was delayed because he sent in a shirtless photo for his visa which was rejected and he had to redo his paperwork. I'll believe it when I see photos of him trotting through the streets of Bogota wearing his mission attire and backpack.
  21. I was listening to a podcast yesterday (AllaboutTRH, I think) and there was mention of Linda saying she was somehow involved, or trying to get involved in television news, but that could mean anything from behind the scenes to in front of the cameras. I'd have to see the HR and income tax statements before I would believe it. If I remember correctly, aside from the church involvement the grandmother had several different businesses which are still active and managed by the husband/step-grandfather. Bravo clearly likes to have at least one sideshow attraction on most RH franchises. More outrageous and comic relief than villain material. People like Ramona on NY, Sutton on BH, Danielle C. on NJ, etc. All a bit "one of these things is not like the others" skewed in various ways. Mary is it for SLC. What I don't get with the SLC cast is the charade that Mary is anything other than someone to be laughed at. Not one of them takes the opportunity to really put her in her well deserved place after her outrageous statements. My best guess is that they are afraid of being labeled as racist and that Mary knows that too and also uses it to her advantage.
  22. I can't decide which acting was worse, Whitney and Heather about the book or the OG's vs. Monica. It all seems manufactured for drama. My biggest eye rolling moments came from: Whitney "waking up" in and removing her eye mask to reveal full and unsmudged eye make-up. Watching Meredith trot along in her ridiculously too long and too wide-legged pants. Heather portraying the OG's as a group of close friends...🙄
  23. I have gone through that same nail drama. I'm not a baby when it comes to pain, but I have to say that touched on some kind of super delicate nerve in my case because it was incredibly painful when the hanging nail was touched/moved in the slightest way.
  24. I finally had a chance to get up to date on this season and was not disappointed. The OG RHoNY needs to return in some way on a regular basis. I'm even glad Kelly is back strictly to underline the fact that what we saw back on Scary Island is probably who she actually is. Most of the rest seem to be in for having a good time along with collecting their Bravo check. The only one who seems to be treating it like a job with less joy is Sonja but that's likely due to her really needing that money and her little nudie shows and hot tub shenanigans, etc. seem staged toward that end. Next BravoCon they need to have her and Teresa Giudice walk down a flight of stairs side-by-side.
  25. Great casting and a good season overall. Did not miss having any teams with prior notoriety related to sports, social media, reality tv, etc. This season was like the good old days. Happy for the winners and sad for the runners up. They all deserved it but only one can grab it.
