  1. We've been rewatching the entire series of Cheers the past month. I can't remember the specifics, but the story Frasier tells about his parents on that show is completely different than how they were portrayed on the show Frasier. This current episode was disappointing. I hope it gets better.
  2. That's how we feel about the Bucs. 😏
  3. I'm sure that's something his coaches will go over with him this week. I'm sure it's easy to make that mistake when you're on the field and in motion. Thanks, Bama for giving us a heart attack with this game! Thanks for an exciting ending though!! Roll Tide!
  4. I'd love to visit there. It was beautiful! The house & property she bought is really nice, but the mold/mildew issue concerns me. The Realtor told her to paint over it. You can do that, but if you don't correct the issue that is causing the mold, it's going to come back. I worked in an office building with this problem. We'd come in on a Monday morning and find mold/mildew on the ceilings. The owner would repaint the ceiling, but once it rained for a few days, the mold was back. Other than that, I loved that property!
  5. I liked the $1000/month apartment, but she probably did the right thing by getting the cheaper one in order to make her budget go farther. I didn't think it was so bad not having a door to the bedroom in the one she chose. At least there was a wall. It's not like it was a studio apartment where there'd be no separation. She was pretty brave to make that kind of move on her own. I hope she finds the inspiration she needs in order to keep her music career going.
  6. The realtor said everything I was thinking about this couple! I've lived in brand new homes and older homes, and they all get dusty!
  7. I agree. I didn't like all of the sniping from both sides. I didn't remember them being so made at each other. It was unnecessary. Yes! That would've been great!
  8. If they had gotten the resort-style home, I don't think he'll try too hard to find a job! He bugged me at first with his attitude and when he said that his wife was frugal and worried about the cost of the home. Well, duh! It's called a budget for a reason! Does he want to spend most of her monthly salary on rent, or would he like to have money to buy other necessities and fun things? Luckily, he came to his senses and agreed that the house closer to the school would be better for her and the kids. It's nice that they can walk to school, especially if the kids are involved in extracurricular activities and they can go back and forth to the school as needed. It's nice that he's home to take care of the youngest child and hopefully he's taking care of the household things while his wife is at work.
  9. So true! I think we're in Season 7 right now. There were many episodes that revolved around Sam being super horny, and I found those tedious. I don't mind that he's a ladies' man, but some of the episodes focused too heavily on that. We're watching the episodes where Robin Colcord went to jail. Sam's character has calmed down for now and hopefully it stays that way for the rest of the series! I've also noticed that Carla wears some big, gaudy earrings each episode, so I guess that's her thing now. I had forgotten how popular Frasier was and he's in every episode, but shouldn't he be at home more often with his son? It's fun watching the show again after all of these years.
  10. Probably so, but those are probably a deal breaker for a lot of people! I can't imagine anybody wanting to navigate that staircase while carrying groceries, etc. FWIW, I hate spiral staircases, especially the ones we see in NYC apartments. They're not as pretty as the one in this episode, but they all look like one big fall waiting to happen!
  11. I'm sure it was a great deal, considering its Paris, and she's in a happening kind of place! I'm glad she got one with an elevator. The Realtor shouldn't have even bothered showing her the apartment with the spiral staircase. Yikes! Those stairs would've been a nightmare for her! I liked that apartment, but the stairs would've been a dealbreaker for me.
  12. I don't understand this either. I like having some light coming in through the bedroom windows during the day, but come bedtime, the blinds and blackout curtains are closed, as that room faces east (morning sun), and the city put out very bright LED street lights (ugh) nearby. To each his/her own though! The apartments were nice, but I was expecting a little more 'wow' for $950,000. He's a good son though and I thought it was funny how he translated her facial expressions for us!!
  13. My SOBs (Same Old Bucs) did what they usually do when playing a team with a rookie QB, and that is to suck so bad that they help make that QB look fantastic! Not to take credit away from Stroud, but c'mon man! Buc's defense should've stepped up. Another game the Bucs could've won gone down the crapper. The Bucs usually lay an egg on MNF too, so facing a rookie QB and playing on Primetime TV is a jinx for my team!
  14. I'm curious as to why the houses they looked at had such heavy chain-link looking barriers across the windows. What's up with that?
  15. What annoyed me was how she kept saying that this was all about the horses and the house seemingly didn't matter, until it did matter, and she didn't want to live in a house that was basically her husband's grandmother's house! I thought that house was pretty nice, considering their other options. They'll probably be happier having a new home on the property that was set up perfectly for her business, but I thought the third property would've been okay. Building an arena wouldn't take as long as building a house! I thought the husband got steamrolled in the process, but hopefully they're truly happy with their choice. More importantly, I hope the horses are happy!! :)
  16. Mr. Chat & I didn't care for this episode. It was boring. I hated that Frasier whined to his friend about how important it was that he get invited to the Society instead of him. As if it wasn't important to his friend. Ugh to the storyline of whether Freddy & Eve will get together. Sorry, just not feeling this episode.
  17. I didn't care for this episode. Watching the 1992 riots unfold in real time was bad enough. I really didn't need to relive it. Other than Addison getting emotional about Ben last week, she really appears to have moved on from him. I really hate shows that use the tired plotline of "will they or won't they get back together," so I hope that they don't do that. I really don't care if they get back together or not. Just give us a good show, please!
  18. I'm glad that Frasier's seeming unhappiness with Freddy isn't from a snobbish point of view, but that of a dad worrying about his son. It was good to hear Frasier talk about how he & Niles laid awake at night worrying about their dad when they were kids. They didn't delve into that very much in the original series. The show could use some tweaking here and there, but overall, I'm okay with it.
  19. I don't trust him just yet. He seems too good to be true! Amen! He shouldn't have apologized to Addison. He has every right to be upset at this moment. One moment he's remembering more things about Addison and they're really connecting, then the next moment he's supposedly dead and she's moved on. Jeez! That would take more than a few leaps for him to process and come to terms with. I hate that they wrote the show this way. I don't think that Addison would've given up on Ben, ever!! That's my main gripe.
  20. I think it bothered him that you could see the toilet from the kitchen. Maybe it's whatever smells that might emanate from there while he's trying to cook that grossed him out too!! I would prefer that a bathroom that isn't accessible from the kitchen either! ;)
  21. Are we talking about the room with the dark blue wallpaper and painted blue ceiling? If so, I agree. That was just too much! I love wallpaper (not that one though), but I shy away from it in my house just because of the issue it can be if reselling a house, or if one gets tired of it. Repainting a wall is so much easier if you need a refresh in a room!!
  22. Yay for a location that wasn't a hotspot for people moving to and was rather affordable!! It was nice to see the lady rather unfazed by how different the apartments were compared to what we're used to in the U.S. I think she did her research in terms of what to expect (or so it seemed). That town looked like a lovely place to live. I love those older buildings.
  23. All 3 houses were unappealing to me. They all looked bad from the outside to the inside. YMMV.
  24. They were so sweet together! I love the kitchen in Burr Bliss. I liked all 3 homes, but this one seemed to suit their needs best. The downside to house #3 was that it was so close to other homes, and she wanted something more rural. I noticed a busy street behind house #2, but hopefully that won't be an issue and they can put a fence up that will help with that. They'll need one for the dogs.
  25. I just get a kick out of watching people go into these properties and check off the same boxes every single time: Double sinks - check; marble countertops - check; no carpet - check; huge kitchen because they're going to cook for mega crowds apparently - check!! I think double sinks look good on a wider vanity. Two sinks on mine is overkill! :)
