  1. Yeah, there were a multitude of nasty infections when they were in Cambodia for those two seasons. That place took the cake for medevacs. I don't recall anything too horrible since they've been in Fiji, but now I'm thinking about the "elimination" issue mentioned above. Ew.
  2. I'm surprised people are taking that answer seriously. I don't think a single thing she said in that bio was meant to be sincere, lol. She may be a bit of a tryhard, but I kind of like her anyway so far. I wish I hadn't read she was a recruit of Max and (especially) Corinne, but I'll try to put that out of my mind and give her a chance.
  3. I had a heck of a time finding them also. Here's Ozzy's - the rest are named similarly.
  4. Me too! It's too bad they only have one Ponderosa video per player now. They used to have at least two, so you'd get a lot more content. Half of these Ponderosa videos are kind of wasted with the long intro and the weigh-in and other fluff, leaving not enough time left to show the players sitting around chit-chatting. That's the best part! We know Sierra did find out about Sarah from Andrea (she said next boot, right? or was it "next boots"?) but I wanted to see her face when she found out, damn it! I know, right?? I wasn't looking forward to Michaela being booted, but I was looking forward to her Ponderosa, I was super curious how she'd be. I will say that if you've seen any of her "Tea with Michaela B" videos (which I highly recommend to any Michaela fan btw), she mentions A LOT how the lack of food affected her mentally. She lost 19 pounds, and she wasn't big to begin with, so I can believe it. I know how bitchy I can get when I've skipped one meal, lol. I think a combination of lack of food plus her super-competitive nature plus her feeling isolated and disliked brought her down. I was kind of shocked when she talked about how much she liked everyone in the game and how great everyone was, lol. I'm like, who are you, and what have you done with Michaela?? Her scene with Zeke where she's telling him how she thought she won the immunity challenge and then she shows him how she kicked the puzzle was the best part. LOL
  5. Wow, indeed! I forgot how much fucked up shit happened towards the end of S2. It's already May, woo hoo! Oh, and John? I think you can officially retire the "we're not bad people, we just did a bad thing" line. Let's keep it real, you ARE bad people, lol.
  6. Stardust is awesome. Even if you've seen the movie, I recommend the book, it's super entertaining. Thanks for mentioning Norse Mythology, I just ordered it!
  7. Just saw this posted on sucks: http://hollywoodlife.com/2017/04/12/survivor-zeke-transgender-comes-out-interview/ So it seems the rumors of how it goes down tonight are true. I wonder what motivated Varner to out Zeke in an attempt to show him as "deceitful"? Purely strategic or something more? Yikes.
  8. I have to wonder though - evidently Sara and Logan got together during the race, and according to the article linked in the Shamir & Sara thread: Not much time left for the "story to unfold" if they're out next week. Now I'm worried the spoilers are wrong, lol.
  9. Actually You could be correct about Nathan, but
  10. Gisela, in the book you get Celeste's POV, so you are privy to her thoughts and memories. You understand how she fell for Perry and how the abuse gradually began. I believe the director says she is not a "typical" abuse victim because she does fight back sometimes. She justifies their relationship a lot in her own mind (it's both of us, we are terrible to each other, we're both violent, he's so great with the kids) before things happen that finally make her snap and take steps . But it's clear to the reader, and Celeste herself when she's being honest, that it's not "equal" AT ALL and that there is something very, very wrong with Perry.
  11. Yes, it totally was. He talked extensively about coming out during his pre-blind audition package. I doubt if it's true that "a lot of the female fans don't know that." Charisma is charisma, whether you're gay, straight or bi - case in point: Adam Lambert, a charismatic performer with a rabid mostly-female fanbase. I really wanted to like Billy after seeing his story, but I have to admit so far his performances have left me kind of cold.
  12. Interesting that everyone here is rooting for John and Meg. I was thinking the other day, wow, I actually don't like ANYONE on this show, and yet I'm obsessed with it, how can that be? Then I realized after watching this episode, I do actually like a few people. I feel sorry as hell for poor Nolan, he may be rude but he's a good kid at heart despite the shit hand he's been dealt in life. And Kevin, of all people! I was so done with him and his ridiculous fucked-up pathetic behavior for for most of this season, but now I find myself in his corner as he tries to turn his life around. I feel like he's one of the only Rayburns with a conscience. I don't care for Marco all that much, but I find myself hating John and Meg and their sociopathic lying smugness so much that I'm hoping he finds a way to take them down. Frustrating that he has most of the pieces but isn't putting them together correctly, which is giving John added confidence as he watches Marco draw all the wrong conclusions. I know Marco won't succeed (now that the show's been renewed for a third season), but oh, how I would love to see John's murdering, lying ass arrested for murder, along with brilliant lawyer Meg as an accessory. And if that were to happen, it would be delicious irony that John's hubris in insisting on running for Sheriff would be what screwed him. Like y'all have said, no way is Beau Bridges the sweet, cuddly benevolent uncle he appears to be. Heh.
  13. That happened in Episode 21, not this one. And yeah, that was strange. I guess he lost his nerve..
  14. I just went back and re-watched the two short scenes with Sarah and she wasn't wearing the seahorse pendant in either one, so I'm confused as to how people have figured out the woman on the bus with the seahorse pendant is Sarah? I mean, the woman being a vision of a now-grown Sarah and only existing in Danny's mind would explain a lot of things that were confusing in the first episode so I'm not disputing it, I'm just wondering how folks have figured it out already. Maybe the reveal is from a future episode (I don't binge watch - I'm only up to Episode 3 so far). That's the one disadvantage to Netflix series - I love reading discussion of episodes including all the speculation that normally goes along with that, which is pretty much impossible in a series where most of the commenters have already seen the entire series. I do realize I'm in the minority :) Well, plus I'm a year behind in even discovering this series, so I really have no grounds for complaining, lol. I think a lot of us did, and I totally agree. The family dynamics are so realistic, it is uncomfortable. Watching the Emmys a few days ago is what put this show on my radar, I hadn't heard of it before. I'm all, oh, that's what Kyle Chandler is up to these days! I'm happy Ben Mendelsohn won, he's amazing. He's breaking my heart. The type of character you shouldn't root for, but you can't help yourself. I keep hoping the flash-forwards aren't what they seem, as unlikely as that probably is.
  15. Me too - I rarely read the bios because they're so full of self-aggrandizing nonsense, but his cracked me up. I like that he doesn't take himself seriously and is a genuine Survivor fan. I'm rooting for you Zeke, don't let me down!
  16. Oh, you're right, I forgot about the finale episode description, which is: Castaways from all three tribes – Brains, Brawn and Beauty – remain, and one will be crowned the Sole Survivor during the two-hour season finale, followed by the Live Reunion Show (10:00-11:00 PM) hosted by Emmy Award winner Jeff Probst. (http://www.epguides.com/Survivor/) The way it's written seems to say the three tribes will be represented (remain) at the start of the episode, not the F3. So like you said, Cydney is safe next week since she's the only remaining Brawn member. I think all signs point to that. Joe will be medevaced next week, there won't be a TC, and the finale will start with the remaining final four who represent all three tribes.
  17. Yeah, that one reddit post that everyone thought was Jason or Scot has now officially been debunked, although some thought it could be Cydney. Although if the pier picture really is the jury then it's not Cydney, either. Wasn't there also a rumor or spec floating around that Jason had made the family visit reward, due to SM posts about his wife being chummy with someone else's family member? I was genuinely worried last night he wouldn't go because of that, although I knew Michelle wouldn't get voted out either. Glad that one turned out to be bogus also. This is really like the least spoiled Survivor season in a long time, isn't it? This thread is really no different then the speculation thread, lol. It's kind of refreshing to actually be in suspense every week.
  18. LOL, Helena is love. Thanks for capturing these in a handy place :) One minor correction (I have to watch this show with closed captioning. Sarah is such a mumble-mouth): Alison: Shi .....take mushrooms, Felix!
  19. Oh, I know!! Classic Debbie, lol Medic: What did you weigh coming in? Debbie: 114 Medic: The scale says 101, so you lost 13 pounds. [Later that night, in Ponderosa] Debbie: I weigh 96 pounds! [This week in interviews] Debbie: I weighed 90 or 92 pounds! I lost over 20 pounds out there! I know, right? I laughed at that For one, it seems revisionist history how she's now saying she wasn't blindsided and had a feeling she'd be going, when immediately afterwards she's all, Wow! Blindsided. And how she's now saying she knew about the superidol because Neal told her, when he tweeted that he didn't tell her about it. In real life, I have known people like her and I can't stand them, but I adore Debbie as a reality TV character. I hope her jury performance is epic. It's the only thing I'm even looking forward to now.
  20. But there hasn't been a boot list this year so I'm not sure how last year's boot list is relevant. And "what we have heard so far" is nothing more than several conflicting reddit posts and questionable so-called spoilers from the likes of unreliable people such as missyae. The only real spoilers this season are the old-school kind - press pics, booted contestant interviews and tweets, social media friendships, etc. The most revealing spoiler as far as I know is still the pics of what appears to be the jury with Aubrey, Michele and possibly Tai missing. And now we also have the finale episode description as revealed by Reality Blurred. So basically, we'd have nothing much at all if not for CBS not giving a fuck about this season like LadyChatts said, lol.
  21. Stupid me for reading youtube comments, because I try to avoid spoilers, but they said the clone in the mask was . (Also, wtf at wearing a sheep mask in a forest??) But then as JasmineFlower pointed out, Beth called her MJ (thanks, closed captioning!) so it probably was just a meaningless youtube comment. Agree with you all, I'm beyond excited about Beth. Real!Beth as she actually was, not a vision or dream. I always wanted to know more about her. Did she have family she was close to? If so, wasn't it kind of shitty of Sarah to pretend to be her for all that time and deny them the chance to mourn her properly? I don't even remember how it was revealed to the world at large that she actually had died and in what manner. Season 1 seems like an eternity ago. Also, I'm embarrassed to say that I kept rewinding the opening scene because I thought the EMTs were both men, lol. I was all, hello! and nice! I guess the one on the right actually is a woman, though, so ... whatever. Weirdos. Thursday!!
  22. I don't know, but who else leaned forward after that block hit Joe in the head and thought, aha, here it comes... and then it turned out to be nothing. Joe's all, eh, I have a hard head. Lol It's weird watching this season with these spoilers/not spoilers/speculation/whatever they are. After being complacent throughout the episode, I actually had a brief moment of doubt towards the end that Julia might actually be going home after all, and was prepared to have my mind blown. I had trouble following all the whispers and back-and-forth at tribal council. Then showed Aubry staring at her vote for an eternity, and I knew she was going to change it. Speaking of which, that's the thing Probst was teasing has never "or rarely" happened before at TC, right? I have to say I don't recall seeing that before either.
  23. I was watching with closed captioning on and the captioning started off saying "speaking Spanish" like it normally would, but then it switched to their actual Spanish conversation. And I didn't see any English subtitles, so yeah, that was kinda weird. My Spanish isn't perfect, but basically the woman (counselor? administrator? teacher?) was asking Evy if she had told the principal that she was touched, and Evy said, no, she didn't tell anyone, that it doesn't matter and would only make things worse.
  24. That could be. There was also that scene where Kevin tells his teammates he doesn't want to go to jail for six years (and why "six"?) and Wes tells him, don't worry, none of us will say anything. What are they going to keep mum about? Picture-taking/sharing on SM, underage drinking, sex between teammates and girls and Eric and Taylor, all that is pretty much known at this point. Something else must have happened.
  25. Huh. It just occurred to me that she's the only alum (from both weeks!) who had both her mentees get cut. Everyone else had at least one of their contestants "continue on". Both Daughtry and Jordin had both of theirs move on, the others all had one (if I tallied correctly). It seems kind of crappy of the producers to saddle her with the forgettable Kory and Adam, who they knew they had no intention of putting through. Oh well, it was great to see her again anyway. I'm sure she's over it, lol.
