I just watched it on Instagram. I went to the park to walk around (nice day) during the wedding. I really liked a lot of it. Her dress was beautiful and form-fitting. The music was decent. A nice diverse group of people although too many for pandemic times. She had one bridesmaid with beautiful black curls. All the music was live. The music choices were the most surprising part. They did On Eagle's Wings at a protestant fundie wedding despite it being a Catholic hymn. They did a mash-up of Joyful, Joyful We Adore You (Ode to Joy) and Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, King of Creation. They sang Lord of All Hopefulness, which possibly different words although hard to tell. They left the ceremony as the singers sang Bryan Adams' Here I Am. The service was long with a long sermon on the Holy Trinity. There wasn't much or any focus on wifely obedience. She promised to love and cherish him. They did do the "Who gives this woman?" bit, but I don't think they used the term headship at all so that's good. Nathan Bates (her ex) would definitely be a headship type. The groom looked bored. Maybe if the service had been shorter and he got to look at her butt in the dress more, he would have been more excited. They got married in the state of Ohio, where he is from. The wedding would probably have been in NYC if not for the pandemic. The worst part was the video quality which was horrible. I hope they're very happy and become less fundie in time.

One of my pet peeves in our society is the fallacy that because one person worked 3 jobs and put themselves through school that everyone can work 3 jobs and put themselves through school. Some people are just naturally better at being able to balance multiple things at once. And a lot of people get help from their families and pretend they do all by themselves. I still think Jeremy is part of Jinger "bettering herself". She's making his coffeee in the mornings, probably because he expects it. He needs to pitch in more or find her some help/time if she needs it. I get the sense that if Jinger was taking a music class via skype and he was the kids; he would brag about "babysitting". (It's babysitting if they're your kids!)

No, but her photography business is called Madison Nicole.

If Jeremy wants her to better herself, he needs to decide two kids is enough for a while and actually do a lot of parenting. She's pulling "late nights and early mornings" for motherhood as it is. If she wants to pursue music, she might have to get up even earlier to practice. I'm in no position to judge her if she doesn't want to get up even earlier to practice music. Jana isn't around most of the time and I assume that Jinger does most of the childcare when she isn't trying to be an social media persona.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
Temperance replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
Lauren was shilling for the same cosmetics company Adel. They're a christian company so they're probably fine with the Duggars selling their stuff. Lauren did a better job. -
Lots and lots of fundie particularly girl fundies have "interests" or " even businesses as photographers. Maggie Rose Burnett (Abbie Duggar's sister) is a photographer with a business. Madison Nicole is a friend of the Duggars, and a fundie girl with photography business. Both Sarah Maxwell and her brother Christopher have pursued photography. I'm probably missing some, but it's very popular for young fundie girls to be into photography. They make a little money and still live at home. As for music, Jinger wasn't that into music before she left home. She seems to like music more, because of Jeremy. It's possible she just likes what Jeremy likes. But it's also possible that her parents' and Gothards' restrictions on music were too limiting for her to really enjoy music before she left home. The Duggars only really listened to religious music, some classical music and maybe a little country music. Even some Christian music, like Christian Rock, was too wordly for them, because they can't listen to music that has too much of a beat. Jinger has now been introduced to real musicians like her in-laws. She listens to some mainstream pop/country music. She have more interest, because she's been exposed to a broader spectrum of music.

Josie and Kelton: They Have Employable Skills
Temperance replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in Bringing Up Bates
I hope Josie at least got a glass of wine for her birthday. -
I think Alyssa figured her heart was fine or the second condition wasn't a big deal. Of course it's hard to stand-up to community pressure. I'm sure Kelly Jo was constantly reminding Alyssa that she should have a baby ASAP and I wouldn't be surprised if she wasn't the person who started the "John needs a boy crap". That being Alyssa could have say seven kids. Hopefully at least 2 would be boys and 7 is much smaller than what her parents have while still being huge.
-
Alyssa and Josie got married at nineteen. Alyssa was 19 and 1/2. All of the Duggar brides and grooms were at least nineteen as well so far.

Alyssa Bates Webster did a wait a solid 2 years between her third and fourth child. Her youngest turned 2 back in March. I agree with @Sew Sumi the all clear stress test probably happened after she was pregnant. Many couples are putting off having more babies until after the pandemic. Hopefully she'll have a safe healthy pregnancy with lots of social distancing. Also that Alyssa announced a February baby is good sign that the announcements will be for 2021 babies.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
Temperance replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
Anna's kids are generally born two years apart. Usually her kids are over 2 years old when the next one is born. (Every single Duggar except Josie was under 2 when they became a big sibling.) MacKenzie and Michael are closer in age (first 2) and Marcus was born two weeks before Michael's second birthday. If Anna is pregnant, it would mean Maryella and the new baby are the closest in age. It's stil not impossible, but not likely. -
The wedding was the 25th of July, which was a Saturday. Jenni's birthday was 8 days later on August 2nd. Anna and Josh brought home stuff from the wedding like the "Celebrate" banner.

photosofJerryfalwelljr Not sure if this will work, because I've never done this before.

Jerry Falwell Jr. of Liberty University posted his pictures to his Instagram of himself on vacation. I saw one. Jerry seems to think we need to know his drink was just "water colored black". Actually Jerry we wondering why your pants were half down/unbuttoned, why her short shorts were unbuttoned and who is the woman dressed up in shipwreck attire? He deleted the photos, but the internet still has the post.

When's the last time we saw Kendra and Joe? The kids are cute. Sorry about the cult!

The Duggars for one. Jill and Jessa were both barefoot at their weddings and their wedding rehearsals. Chelsy Bontrager Maxwell was barefoot at her wedding too, both in the church and outside for pics (in below freezing weather in December). Chelsy had some scriptural reason for being barefoot. The verse she quoted said nothing about women or men, but it seems to be only a female thing among fundies. Chelsy's sister Allison gets married in about two weeks (15th) and there will be a livestream for us to watch. Since it's August and she's marrying a farmer, Allison will probably be barefoot at her wedding too.

Jennifer looks the most like Jana of the all girls. Especially in that first picture.

Maybe, maybe not they have talked about sending their girls to college. Also it's not unusual for men to want their daughters to be more ambitious even if their wives are more happy at home. When I said they'd have more kids, I don't think they'll end up with any close to her parents. I think that maybe two girls will get an older and as they old enough to go to school, they'll have another one. And when that one reaches school age, they can have a fourth. This way Jinger will be busy with the little ones while the kids are in school. I actually know a fundie family kind of like that. I also think Jeremy will want a boy, especially if he doesn't have a male cousins with sons and his brother doesn't have kids. His brother Chuck currently doesn't have kids and he might not plan on ever having kids. I can see Jeremy wanting to pass down the proud Vuolo name to his son.

Technically Renee is 18 and Kaylee is 19 and both of them are old enough to get married. So yes Jill probably is looking for prospective husbands. The rest of the family are minors (underage) except for Tim. Tim is 20. He could get married, but even among fundies, most parents want someone who can provide for their daughter.
