Some tabloid should be publishing photos of celebrities without masks who selfishly chose to endanger the community. There should be a sense of shame. Look at him all proud! 🤬 They should print celebrities looking cute in their masks.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
Temperance replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
The kids are cute, but those dresses are awful. I know it's a national trend started by Matilda Jane and one of their favorite customers Joanna Gaines to have ragbag dresses, but the dresses are still awful. It's trying too hard to have one dress with five different prints. Even the Little House books mentioned one print for the dress and one to accent it. -
Joy and Austin: This One Time At Family Camp
Temperance replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
Apparently what Joy said about that was: “Before the doctor checked me, he was saying…, ‘If you go past 40 Weeks, we may need to talk about some sort of induction, just because you’ve had a big baby and he was born at 40 Weeks, at 10 Pounds." Gideon was born one day after his due date as well. He was 10 pounds 3 ounces. -
Andrea Yates had schizophrenia, which is genetic and not catching. Kendra is more likely to end up like Michelle. Alyssa's next blessing will be almost three years younger than her last. That seems to be deliberate, because of health reasons for Alyssa. I think they (Alyssa and John) will have fewer kids than her parents and slow down/stop at some point. I don't expect Joe and Kendra to slow down. I really think Joe has to make that decision as the headship that a smaller family would be nice.

Joy and Austin: This One Time At Family Camp
Temperance replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
Joy should be at hospital getting induced. A friend of mine was induced on her due date, because they were worried about the size of the baby being very large. Her baby was around 9lbs. Gideon was a 10 pound baby. I hope Joy is taking real medical advice and not listening to her family. -
I wonder if Jill is with Joy keeping her company before Joy goes to the hospital. (At another time, Jill could be there for support. Right now most hospitals let one person in as support and that is the partner. This is pandemic procedure.)

Joy and Austin: This One Time At Family Camp
Temperance replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
It doesn't make sense to me that Kendra's news took priority over Joy's. I actually think it's strange they chose to announce #3 while waiting for a new niece any second. I posted this in Joe and Kendra's thread. Since Kendra is "sweet", I'm sure someone will defend her. If Jessa or Lauren had announced today, people would give them hell. -
This is crazy! I expected an announcement from Kendra by the end of the year, but not quite this soon. Garrett and Addison are 17 months apart, Addison and #3 will be 15 months apart like Spurgeon and Henry. This is Michelle's speed. They will have 3 kids under 3. Everyone else, who married before them, is slower. Jessa should be nervous, because her main thing is having the largest second generation Duggar family on television (Josh and Anna are not really featured any more). Speaking of Jessa, if either Jessa or Lauren had announced a pregnancy on Joy's due date, everyone would be talking about either of them was trying to steal Joy's thunder. Kendra is a thunder-stealer! Both Joe and Kendra need to take responsibility for chosing to have kids so quickly. If anyone, I blame Joe, because he is the headship and Kendra has to be "joyfully available". And there is no reason for Kendra to be surprised. Kendra and Joe were married September 8, 2017 so next month is the third wedding anniversary. Congratulations! I wish Kendra a healthy pregnancy, a safe delivery, and a healthy baby.

She's due today (Wednesday the 19th). Her doctor doesn't really want her going over so she'll either be induced soon, or she'll have the baby or she's had the baby.

Joy told Austin that she was pregnant on his birthday (December 11th). So definitely possible. Joy wasn't far enough along to tell the world, but she could have told her family.

Carlin and Evan: But Mostly Carlin!
Temperance replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in Bringing Up Bates
Thank you for sharing this! I took the liberty of also posting this in the Sweet Fellowship thread in the Duggars/Counting On forum. I hope this family is okay. -
So we have new photos from the wedding from hell aka Allison Bontrager's and Jeremiah Helferich's wedding. They do look nice, and Allison and Jeremiah have more chemistry than they did at the wedding. There's one causual photo of the wedding party. It looks the bride's brother Denver is standing close to one of the groom's sisters. It's a possible courtship. Two of Allison's brothers married women who are sisters, so it wouldn't be the first time for this family. All of Allison's wedding party was family. AllisonJeremiah wedding pictures

Layla does not have COVID or at least hasn't tested positive. Carlin and Evan update For those who don't want to click the link. "In a statement to PEOPLE, the couple said that after learning about their positive diagnosis, caring for Layla was their "first concern." "We recently tested positive for COVID-19. Of course, our first concern was for our little Layla, as she has already had some breathing difficulties since birth. Fortunately, Layla was already visiting Evan’s parents when we found out we had the virus. We lengthened her stay there, continuing to stay separated from her through the majority of our quarantine," the couple explained. "Unfortunately, some of Evan’s family members also tested positive, so we felt it best for Layla to return with us, where she could at least continue to get antibodies from nursing. We had mild cases, and are thankful as we are on the final leg of recovery," they continued. "However, it has made us so much more mindful of the many who have already faced the threat of exposure or who have dealt with fears in some manner. We will continue to pray for healing for our country and we are grateful for those who have sent such kind messages to our family." I suspected Layla did not have COVID, because her health issues would probably lead to greater concern. I hope Layla is okay and her parents continue to recover.

d) you don't want to be around these people during a pandemic and even if not a pandemic, you might catch something from these idiots.

Joy and Austin: This One Time At Family Camp
Temperance replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
We've been talking about this in the Sweet Fellowship thread. Fortunately Joy and Carlin don't live near each other and Joy hasn't seen Carlin in 6 weeks, well before she had Covid. -
Grace has a life preserver unlike her cousin Addison. Good on you Abbie and John!

Layla is not most kids. She is 6 months old and she has a hole in heart and has had respiratory problems that sent to a hospital earlier this year (before her parents had Covid). I don't think a peditrician would be cavalier in the face of at-risk baby having Covid. I hope everyone in the household has full recovery and that they pull through.

Well that's assuming fundies would put something away and store it properly. My point was we don't know that Layla has COVID and the seal doesn't prove anything. She could have it or she could not. It's possible that Evan and Carlin sent her to be with family like Michael. She could have multiple seals and she left one at home. It could be her only seal and they forgot it and the family caring for her bought a new one. It's possible she has/had COVID and a mild case. I hope Layla had a mild case if she had it, but it seems unlikely to me that if Layla had COVID, her doctor would think "not much is up". A baby with breathing and heart problems testing positive for COVID would be very worrisome to most doctors. Even a "mild case" would be very serious and cause for concern with health issues that would complicate the virus. I'm chosing to believe Layla is fine.
