  1. Is this picture from the wedding? Or is it from her aniversary party? That dress looks blue, not green. And that looks like a pregnant Keller sister, but I don't think any of the Kellers were pregnant.
  2. The Kellers also have a son Daniel, who left the fold. I agree for a low cost wedding, it looks good. I think having a bunch smaller cakes is probably easier on the budget and still looks nice. I'm sure one of them became Phllip's birthday cake. I actually like Jill's dress. It probably would look better tailored and altered. I was worried she'd actually wear a wedding dress. I also like both parents walking their daughter down the aisle. In general, I hate that it's often still called "giving away the bride." I think that's Anna's hair next to Josh. Since Josh was there, Anna probably was too.
  3. David Waller is a good man for them to know so they can meet single fundies. He's very well connected and he even has two single brothers. His brothers are older than the Rod girls, but it might not be a big age difference to matter. (It's about 8/9 years age difference for the oldest single Waller and the oldest Rod girls and 3/4 years difference for the younger single Waller and the oldest Rod girls). But David would also know a great many fundies beyond his brothers. I don't see Mr. Bennet as negligent. He wants the girls to marry, but only if they like their chosen partner. Mrs. Bennet isn't the worst, but she's still a overbearing, pushy mother.
  4. At least Spurgeon is a distinctive enough name that most people only know of one. Every other little boy is named Henry, Jessa. (It's been a top 50 name since 2012 and was #16 in 2018.) You need to go back to unique names or include the middle or last name in the hashtag.
  5. Yes, Jill said much earlier than Nuri wanted to wear her dress. Jill is the matron of honor so I think her dress matches the bridesmaids. It looks better than I had hoped. Fingers crossed. I wish Nuri and Nathan many, many years of happiness. I hope that over time they are both able to overcome the brainwashing they both suffered from their parents and that they always have food on their table.
  6. Any signs on social media of where Anna and her hubby are today?
  7. I don't think Jill R, Nurie, Nathan or even Anna or Josh Duggar are big enough stars anyone would pay for these pictures. While they do have a large internet following (mostly snarkers) and some live appearances, most people don't know who the Rods or the Kellers. Even the Duggars are relatively not big outside their fans, fundies, snarkers, and TLC viewers. I think Jill is trying to keep people from reporting a large event where people don't wear masks. One or two people not wearing masks might slip by, but a whole wedding where no one has a mask might get the authorities interested. The police were breaking up weddings in New Jersey earlier this year, although I admit Ohio is more laid-back and less diseased.
  8. If there is to be a livestream, a placeholder for the video would show up first probably a little before the video starts. Usually when a video premieres there is a slight delay and youtube waiting music.
  9. While I'm a fan of color, a neutral design palette featuring lots of beige has a certain timeless popularity with many people. My grandma loved beige. Bella really looks like her mom.
  10. Right, but fans of the Duggars like to see kids and like kids otherwise they wouldn't be Duggar fans. And I do think a lot of the Duggar fans don't have kids or grandkids of their own. Especially because for many families these days there's a huge gap between grandchildren and children. Like Jeremy Vuolo's family. He was about 30 when Felicity was born and he's the youngest child and first father.
  11. A lot of people don't have kids or grandchildren to look at photos or videos of. I've described the Duggar fanbase as wannabe parents and grandparents. And since the same children are filmed for television, they're already somewhat-known and loved to their fans.
  12. Lauren is a good choice for this deal. She has good skin and is relatively stylish.
  13. As I've said I've heard of other boys named Denver including one I went to school with. Carver is apparently after William Owen Carver, Christian missionary.
  14. As a matter of fact, I went to school with a guy named Denver. Naming people after places is one to go and possibly he's named for some Christian hero. His middle name is Elliot. Chelsy Bontrager Maxwell said this about how she named her own sons. "The main idea was just picking names we liked. 😃 John found the name Axton and we both loved it. We had never heard of anyone with that name before. With Elliot, my brother Denver's middle name is Elliot. We also greatly admire the faith of the missionary Jim Elliot. Ultimately, John and I both loved the name, so Elliot it was. =)" I like Denver as a name. Two of his brothers have a brother-in-law named Carver Bowers. Carver is in honor some Christian guy, but it's unfortunate name imo.
  15. Yes I would still have my full name rather than a nickname on social media to make it clearer that it's me. Especially since Jason is not one of the more memorable Duggars. How many times have we seen "there's a Jason"? 😜 Josiah actually goes by Si on social media. He has a joint account with his wife SiandLaurenDuggar.
  16. What is that thing in the corner? It's dental floss, toothpaste, mouthwash, and ... Maybe he's copying his sister-in-law Jill, since she has more social media followers than him. Jill also usually posts about bonuses Derick buys like chocolate milk. Toothpaste is more a requirement than a bonus. And yes it's dumb to post these thing, even when it is a little perk. I've always thought that Jill posted about it, because as one of many children, she didn't get much individual attention from her parents. Also notice Jeremy stayed home while higher-risk (pregnant) Jinger went out to the store.
  17. Why Jase and not Jason on social media? Jason's role model seems to be Lawson Bates, who responds the exact same way to things said about his family.
  18. News from the Bontragers. Allison is busy planning her wedding and doesn't have much time to blog. (Her wedding is in less than a month. Denver Bontrager is courting/seeing someone. They didn't say who, but she's in Minnesota. Bad news for the Rods, because I thought the Bontrager boys were good candidates for Kaylee or Renee. They're relatively well-off and the Bowers family is similar to the Rods. (The two adult Bowers daughters are Bontrager wives.) There's still one Bontrager boy who could work for a Rod. And then there's this new blog post: Up in Smoke! "This past Wednesday evening, as we were ministering at a church in Knoxville, TN, there was much activity going on back home on the farm. We have a barn that was filled with about 140 round and big square bales of hay and many memories of tag on the bales throughout the years. Well, if you're reading thus far you have probably guessed what happened! A round bale started on fire, causing the whole barn to be burned along with the rest of the bales. We are very thankful for the following: 1. That the wind was moving the smoke and fire away from our other buildings. 2. That the fire didn't happen during the night when there would have been less chance of someone seeing and reporting it. 3. For the local volunteer fire departments (all six of them) that came to the rescue quickly. 4. That no one got hurt!"
  19. I hope Nurie and Nathan are able to have a semi-decent wedding and escape her family. As for getting pregnant right away, i imagine Jill will be some sympathetic as she didn't have a honeymoon baby. Jill got married at 18 in October 1997. She had the first of her 'severe" miscarriages and Nurie wasn't born until April 1999. She made up for this by having Tim 11 months later. She went on 9 kids by the time she was 30. (She had 4 more girls and the rest of her "severe' miscarriages in her 30s.) In some ways, Jill would happy to have Nurie pregnant soon, but I also think she would be pleased if none of her kids had more than 13 kids (or whatever number she ends up with). I kind of assume she's done, but you never know.
  20. I have no idea about what Steve Maxwell is talking about. "No Compromising" "Christians understand that God is watching and sees everything we do (1 Peter 3:12). However, the ungodly are looking too. God watches for good but the ungodly with evil intent. There is nothing new in that, but for Daniel, his life was at stake, not merely a bad reputation or being called “hypocrite.” “Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him” (Daniel 6:4). When Daniel’s enemies’ first attempt failed, they successfully tricked Darius, the king, into signing a law preventing worship of anyone but Darius. Since obviously Daniel wouldn’t comply, he earned a trip to the lion’s den for dinner. Thankfully we know how that ended. How serious are we in following/obeying the Lord? We do what is right because it is right. Compromise and deceit are the ways of the world. “The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them” (Proverbs 11:3)."
  21. I think she is an older daughter. The article doesn't explain it well. According to the article: "Karen and Deon share 14 children, comprised of quintuplets, triplets and two sets of twins" This literally doesn't add up. 5(quintuplets) + triplets (3) + two sets of twins (2x2) 4 = 12 There must either be two non-multiples or they only have 12 children. Since they say they have about 14 kids, there must be two more nonmultiples.
  22. Are you kidding? Or is that you Michelle? Considering most bathings suits have an underwear bottom and a tank top. Her suits don't seem immodest to me.
  23. I actually don't have problem with brothers sleeping in twin beds in one room of the house. I would probably defend their right to live as they chose. Except I'm not convinced they chose this. It sounds like controlling parental b.s. If they seem excited, they left the boys dorm where they share a room with 5 other guys. It's a whole new level of f**ked up that the kids don't know how to swim. I keep flashing back to Granda Mary and her sad demise. Screw immodest swimsuit sh*t. Anytime they're around water and don't know how to swim it's a safety hazard.
