That's a skirt over a normal bathing suit bottom. Anyway I don't know enough about Jeremy to know if he really feels he should have to approve her fashion choices. He may think that she being an adult can dress herself. He may offer advice if she asks for it. It's hard to say how many of her family traditions they are carrying over.

Jinger doesn't look pregnant to me either. And she certainly doesn't look five months, considering someone said it was a honeymoon baby. I'm sure her parents will have plenty to say about it once the six months are up. Unless JinJer ban visiting for another six months or the courtships keep them too busy. Actually the arc encounters trip was possibly a brilliant idea for them. They can tell JB and Michelle they just saw them and possibly use that they just saw them to stall off an immediate visit. On the other there were so many people on that trip it would be hard for JB and Michelle to have quiet time and bring up personal matters. Also you can tell it's a recent picture by how big the baby is. Jessa looks great considering she had a baby a few months ago. In some ways I'm surprised Joy wasn't there. A trip to Magnolia market with all the ladies seems like the perfect bachelorette party for them, and yet no sign of her.

There were jokes, but it's subtler than usual. Also the voices themselves are mellower than usual. For years now everytime someone says Len Trexler, I hear Len Drexler. It's weird because I was sure his name was Drexler. They ruined Trexler's life. "Dutch" aka Barry Dylan is just as bad in my opinion as Archer. Yes, Archer turned him into a cyborg, but then he could have done anything. Half the stuff he blames Archer for probably wouldn't have happened if he left Archer alone. Lana can be shrew, but she is emotionally cold towards him which goes with unobtainable goddess part. It bothered me that the song (Fever) Lana was singing was from the 50s', and I knew that somehow without looking it up. (yes I know Archer may not know that). Finally I think Archer heard Lana say Woodhouse is dead and since deep down he cares for Woodhouse, Lana saying it triggered the dream. I think in some ways this dream is a way of running away from reality, like pirate island, or when he became Bob from Bob's Burgers, etc.

Trevor Noah: The Man Himself

That's sick. -
When I typed it into google (for a translation), it got mixed up somehow and said "Do not be like the giant white family with the baby."

These are the same people who sent their daughters to the rainforest and construction sites wearing flip-flops (during the 19K&C days). They were also volunteer fire-fighters in flip-flops. (All of these activities dangerous in case of debris or having something land on you foot. )Back then before any of the girls were married, they went everywhere in floor-length skirts and flip-flops, which they defended the same way they do everything else. Later they were allowed to wear more normal clothes and shoes. The last time I watched was during the hiking experience where the girls were in boots and while boots seemed silly, they were definitely a step-up from flip-flops.

for me it was Some Mothers Help Every One. Exactly But whatever the rainbow one was I had never heard. I just go by the visuals/cartoons of rainbows. I also got Gigi the other night.

Not being taxed doesn't pay for the upkeep of the buildings (and other expenses). They encourage people to tithe and some (or many) people do. They also can raise money for certain projects (for example getting a new roof) by hosting events, fundraising or just getting people to do work for less, etc. exactly. The final solution, of course if they're desparate, is to have a website with a large DONATE button and see if any does.

in some Catholic churches people just give loose cash. Some catholics tithe, but that is voluntary.

Category is TV Female Cops: She is the cop refered to in the title as The Closer No one answered. I would have said Who is Brenda Lee Johnson? Alex said the correct answer was Kyra Sedgwick. I wonder what would have happened if someone had rung in with the character and not the actress. I wouldn't have known which one they wanted. I got Nora Roberts (who is also J. D. Robb), which was TS.

Fun fact: Julia Roberts had a body double in Pretty Women named Shelley Michelle. It's not my favorite look. Didn't Amy have some sort of falling out with her relatives?

My problem is I forgot to vote in one of the rounds for the tweet bracket. I'm also unsure what criteria we're voting on with the tweets anyway. (Are the tweets the silliest, most memorable, most outrageous, or most offensive, etc.?) The bracket is something new they're trying. Just doing "the news, interviewing and having desk visits" would be like what Jon did.(I also think Jon's best years were under Bush. ) -

I loved last night's episode. They updated the who's the president board. Particularly I recommend the interview with Bassem Yousef. It was wonderful. Yousef was charming and funny and they got along great. (Omarosa cancelled her interview.) -

I think that was the Bates original show United Bates of America on TLC, and maybe Alyssa? was the daughter. Back then the girl Duggars were still wearing long skirts and flip-flops, and kept more indoors. I remember thinking the Duggar girls wouldn't be allowed to something like that. I'm surprised the "leghumpers" gave them hell for killing the deer. I would most of their fans would be familiar and approve of the concept of hunting, (especially if they eat it). Who watches this show? -

Well Jill really admires her mom. M5's middle name will be Joshua. Since they're doubling down on marriage. -

Michael is named after his grandfathers, and I could see them going with a "symbolic choice". Messiah? Isaiah will be Jill's son. Matthew I could see. -

The sad thing is..... plenty of people would be surprised to see a black person from the UK. I guess it's weird in our post-racial society that people would be surprised that there are black British people, but trust me those people are out there. I'm not sure I know who some of the people you mentioned are. My first thought when someone says black British is fellow Gryffindor Dean Thomas. -

What does this mean exactly? I'm sorry I keep reading this, and the wording confuses me. -

Baby fever is natural when it is ingrained in the culture that a woman's worth is in how many blessings, etc. Her parents probably ingrained in her the importance of a big family and probably talk about how they wished they had more/glad they don't have less. By fundie standards, all her kids are about two years apart which is a lot. Michelle had a baby almost every year. As for Josh, the man has several faces or personalities. It's probably hard for Anna to see the man who is kind to their kids and whom she perceives as treating her well as the same man who does bad things behind her back. If she had seen him say cheating before her own eyes, it might be different. I think she was clueless and doesn't see what we see. In fact she doesn't see any of it, she hears about it secondhand. In some ways, the biggest red flags are thing that do happen when they're together. He walks way ahead of her and doesn't help carry things. He was shown many, many times off on his own during what eventually became the toliet birth. It's worth noting, but Joshgate came out, Television Without Pity named Josh one of their worst reality stars of the year for a variety of things like his behavior during the birth, also making her travel with his family while pregnant, etc. Anyone else remember this? Much more than Derrick, Josh should have known what was coming when he got married. If he doesn't want kids, he should do something about it. I'm sure his parents think the baby will solve and if not the baby then the "practicing". -

That's why she looked familiar. I knew her from some place, but wasn't sure where. -
I've seen this before and to extent it's true, people see what they want to see and also other people want them to see. Casual or uncritical fans of the show see the Duggars as a fairytale. All these children, all these people to play with, all these people to share in "responsibilities" (like chores and such). It "looks" like fun. I can't remember if Jeremy has any siblings, but if he was an only child and he hinted that he went through an awkward phase (as a teen/tween) where he thought he was chubby, then the Duggar family might be appealing. I see Jeremy and to a greater extent Derrick less as patriarch wannabes and more as grown up versions of the kids writing to Shirley Jones to ask if they could join the Partridge family. Once in you're in the family, reality sets in and it's less romantic than on the outside. Jeremy probably already had pastor ambitions thought interacting with the Duggars would help that.

All Episodes Discussion: 2017 Season
Temperance replied to AmandaPanda's topic in The Rachel Maddow Show
Exactly. I didn't think the piece was so bad, but then I watch Rachel off and on and happened to tune in. One of my friends on facebook said there were more important things to focus on, and I thougt well then focus on 'em and stop watching the show. If you decided it was a waste of time do something else. If I get bored while watching something, I start going on-line or read a book or get a snack. -

I don't think that video was necessarily filmed today. It looks too calm. There was a lot of wind outside especially near the coastline. It also rained on the show here, which makes for slick conditions (ice can be the real problem.) I don't live too near the show, but where I live shares conditions with NYC. -

Did Jessa and Jill use The Knot for their wedding registries? (I don't remember, but I would guess so since everyone uses the knot. ) True Story: My best friend was thinking of getting married and he and his fiancee started an Amazon registry with 3 things on it. Then they postponed the wedding (still together). Months later I said it's gonna confuse people shouldn't they take down the Knot registry, since the wedding was put off. He said we didn't use the Knot. I went on the Knot and found the listing. Same state, same exact names which aren't that unique but it will still be a heck of a coincidence if two people with their exact names and spellings got married in the same state on the day they were thinking of getting married. I sent him the link of what I found and he said "hmm... I guess they automatically link it to the Knot if you register on Amazon." The date is suspious. I agree it will throw people off if it's real.
