  1. While I think the D - bootleg Kevin Cronin or bootleg Lindsay Buckingham - was happy for the initial easy money, this P knew he was going to have to pay for himself after February. He was working Uber all those 6 months and couldn’t put together whatever the rent was during that time while having to pay NO other bills? You were right that the P has figured out the scam. Then he decided he would just take advantage of the anti-eviction laws because of Covid. Yuck. I wanted to drop kick the broken-armed, scumbag defendant in the face. If the P did have some evidence of him paying it back, JJ should have listened. I’m wondering what we don’t know about the additional context (that they don’t show).
  2. Man - PC was usually the court show that was so good about giving us the updates on the not-fully-settled cases. I wanted to know if the leak ever got fixed. Loved the mansplaining - well, you know....50 year old buildings are hard to diagnose (little lady). Ugh. We've been lucky so far in renting out our duplex but you haven't seen 'screw that' until you've seen a horrifying loser living out a 'life estate' in someone else's house. Long, long story very short...my sil's 'step monster' had a life estate in a home owned by my sil and her sister. All she had to do over more than 20 years was pay the taxes on the property and her legal obligation was 'upkeep' on the house to keep it in roughly the same condition as 20 years ago. My sil finally got the property back about a month ago...they never kept up anything in the house...wallpaper is peeling, stickers all over walls, a room painted HOT PINK with an eggplant ceiling, leaking roof, rotted sills, black mold, plumbing leaks all over the place, inoperable appliances, holes in walls...I mean...a complete gut job. It's been almost like victimization all over again for her to see her childhood home utterly demolished and now she has to sue the woman for 'waste' because she forced money into escrow for the 'improvements' she said she did on the house. It goes on and on. Because that's all going on right now, it made me less sympathetic to the P but it also sucks in that case that she had to sue and make it a big case just so they would actually fully complete repairs.
  3. ...and? Why is he allowed to be on an equal footing? There are people who run with all different types of ailments and things wrong with them and they don’t get any special dispensation. If he can’t get through the course then he can’t get through the course. Like I said, it was crappy that he couldn’t get through that water obstacle because of his asthma and he seems like a super great guy.
  4. Even though there’s no pharmaceutical reason that najee shouldn’t have it (and I like him), I just feel like it was unfair. So are they saying now that in the future when he wants some puffs in another water obstacle, he can have an inhaler?
  5. Yes! I live in Western Massachusetts (not a huge population center). I live in a town of 10,000 and two of the surrounding town/cities have urgent care centers. Stitches, burns, some breaks, non-life-threatening etc etc. Not only is it cheaper out of pocket, but my copay is the same as for an office visit (versus a copay in the ER of hundreds). I know they’re throughout FL also...so this guy could have found one if he found an ER.
  6. Man - yappy dogs. I used to have a ~90 lb German Shepherd (RIP, my sweet Ubu) and we were leaving the vet. There was a connected grooming place. The other dog owner was chatting at the door and the Yorkie was on a retractable leash. The dog ran and launched herself onto my dog’s ass with her teeth. It was literally hanging off of Ubu’s butt from its mouth. My dog is just trying to shake the dog off of her. Thankfully I just watched the injury for infection and all was well. That dog owner - i hope- learned a lesson and also sent me a gift card to a pet place. I also wonder - are there no urgent care centers in FL? That seemed much more appropriate for the urgent care option (unless you’re going for the hysterics). I thought the after the verdict on this case (with the flare/leg) guy was more interesting than either case. I wish they had told us about the ultimate decision! At first pass, I’m wholly unsympathetic to the sailor.
  7. I laughed out loud at this. If Hallmark only knew! She totally bugs and I can't watch anything with her in it. Interestingly, I feel the same way about Jodie Sweetin - and a few others. Usually I'll tape the new Hallmark movies (though I haven't watched a single one since winter) and then skip based on who is in them. Please tell me Tyler Hynes is in something this Christmas (preferably WITHOUT Kelly Pickler).
  8. I mean, seriously?!?!?! I kept going back to that all episode. Is it that we get bangs when Lucifer is in hell and slicked back when he's not?
  9. So, now two angels have decided to change their entire lives for Chloe...Chloe of the marker eyebrows?
  10. Sorry for your loss. They caught my father-in-law's at stage three and he got the esophagectomy a couple years ago. We're fortunate that he's been doing great since the surgery. As someone who had that special kind of relationship with my grandmother, I feel like I bawled through this entire episode. Big, ugly cry. I'm among those who will be annoyed if they only had McNulty on for a few episodes. They should have had him get hurt delivering the baby and then see the impact over TIME.
  11. Agreed - he'd been so nice up to that point. I also guarantee there was some discussion of 'well, he's a lawyer. he can afford it'. People don't realize that the range of what lawyers make is gigantic. I don't know either way about this guy but I'm glad he's out of there.
  12. F this one. I totally disagreed with her decision. Yes, the Gap was awful, but they could have avoided that and the “inferior” cement approach if they just freaking agreed to the terms with the nice and patient plaintiff. If they had been reasonable, they would have gotten what they wanted. They’re jerks.
  13. I felt a bit lost in this also. Like...I finally got that it was former partners but I felt like someone had the money (like the sister, maybe). They really just made it so he spent all the money on gambling?
  14. I was very happy. If only it had been Daniel Gil...I can't stand him the MOST. Oh, come on! They love him and consistently show him (from single to engaged to married to baby 1 to baby 2 to baby 3). Without getting too far into the political realm. I really did like him when he was joe schmo - - but then he got cocky and then he became the weatherman who is a climate change denier and he lost me. I recognize him as a fantastical athlete, however. Which is whey I didn't even think of Drew as really THE ANW before the creeper reveal. He got a do-over and I'm sure at least a few more of them would have gone all the way if given another chance on the same course. Agreed! I don't need to see them on a spinning circle, mugging for the camera. I don't need to see the '...but a year ago, he didn't even think he would be able to walk.' stories. It's awesome to be able to watch it in an hour. I"m now able to ffwd to the point on my DVR where I see them on the shrinking steps, hit play, and I'm at the 'boop, boop, boop, beeeep'.
  15. Couldn't the Turners still petition the court to adopt May (as the adoption lady said they could)? I get super grouchy about these kinds of adoptions. In my experience, the courts are so obsessed with biology that they wait until a kid's life is so messed up before they allow adoptions to loving families (mental health problems, physical, PTSD, etc etc). Of course, that's my gripe with today and in the US. Was Warren's mom the cousin of Valerie's who was aggressive and screaming at her with the whole Grandma thing? I, too, cried off and on throughout the episode. Dr. Turner breaking down was particularly powerful for me.
  16. How have none of them guessed LeAnn Rhimes? I was also this baffled when none of them guessed Chris Daughtry in season 1 (he was totally robbed, imho). Once someone mentioned Taylor Dayne, that makes sense.
  17. I, too, just picked this up about a couple months ago and watched all the episodes. I just watched the finale. I also wish that Alexis and Ted could work it all out somehow. I wouldn’t think them being together would be her ‘needing a man’ because we saw her growth over the series and her love for HIM was genuine. She wasn’t wanting him to fix anything for her. I also thought Johnny left something kind for Stevie in room 7. I just really liked that this was a relatively clean show and that Johnny and Moira really loved each other. It was never gold digging and/or them not being fully committed to one another.
  18. Agree, totally. I think both of them were badasses in their own minds and so they had to do ‘Quien es mas macho?’. HOWEVER - the defamation had me tip over to the D side and I would not only have not had him return anything but I would have awarded him additional damages.
  19. Monday's episode showed a marked difference in the setup for me. MM's video feed is poorer and it doesn't match the old 'bench' look exactly anymore (doesn't line up). Oh, those eyelashes on both mom and daughter...yowza. I really thought that cell phones are paid in advance. As in, you pay early September for the month of September. Also, Judge John is dressed down but looks more uncomfortable somehow.
  20. I kept thinking - those are pajamas, right? That's the best court attire you can come up with? I actually watched one of the little videos on their FB page and MM was saying how she's also fascinated by people in their homes. I wonder how she felt about the PJs.
  21. I was excited for little boy blue. It was great. A few early endings - Michelle, Rayle, JJ Woods. I’m still annoyed by the whole Nick Hansen thing - gets up the megawall but the extra time costs him his spot in the city finals - especially because they’re ALL in the same city for qualifiers. I know there are a few swaps on obstacles but it just seems shitty that in the two other qualifiers so far, the top 12 included people who didn’t even finish the freaking course. Hansen not only finishes but makes the Mega Wall his bitch and....nada. I’m super grumpy about it.
  22. I just came to post this exact thing - esp re: the mega wall and leaving the other guys out to dry. In years past, I’ve referred to Gil a ‘phoney baloney’ and his wife as a wannabe Tammy Faye (oh, the makeup). Yes, I’m being petty...but i remember the magical boat ride of destruction where they had the videographer on board. Barf. Also - can’t stand the Bergies and laughed when the brother fell. Akbar was being all side eye sexist - oh, his girlfriend finishes so you know he wants to finish. Guess what, Akbar, a woman whose boyfriend completes the course ALSO wants to complete it. I also think that wanting to spend that much time with your sibling is not normal. Again, petty, but oh well.
  23. If you listen to the commenters while not watching the action (so your attention isn’t split), you’ll hear a male commenting voice that is clearly not Matt’s and clearly not Akbar’s. I rewound at a few different points. DId anyone else notice this?
  24. Love it! If you happen to get a prize, I'll buy it from you. Just send it to me with a check for $1000 and I'll pay you back when I get my taxes.
