  1. OK - so we hear this all the time - "I'm a single mother. " "I'm a single father." - but I have doubts about if that's true. I've actually gotten into arguments with my sisters about this. Just because you're not with the father of your kids any more, doesn't make you a single parent, in my view. If you share custody, get child support, etc...I dont' consider you a single parent. If you have kids and the other parent is never around, doesn't contribute time/energy or money, you're not a single parent. End rant. I would have liked if the D countersued for the $500 back on the rent deposit.
  2. OK, so, I tried the toilet paper with 4 different writing instruments. See picture. I used a Crayola because it is probably the highest quality of crayon. The easiest one was the pencil - it glided across the TP without any pulling. The most difficult was the crayon. From easiest to write to hardest went: pencil, pen, Sharpie, crayon. It wasn’t even close and you can see how light the crayon writing is. That’s because if I pushed any harder, it would tear the paper. Take notice, Judge Milan. ETA - I believe the TP is Angel Soft - middle range brand.
  3. This guy...I immediately thought he had the kid run in there to check that either his drugs or drug money weren’t missing (sorry but the fact of who his girlfriend was, the dentures at his age, and then encouraging his kid to go into a house that had been broken into...). I wanted her to pin the money on him because of the fact that he responded to texts that said he’d pay. He totally knew that the two of them had borrowed that money for rent. And what a moron to think the judge would just have him READ the text instead of take a look at it.
  4. Nordictrack defendant was an odious little man. He was like the contractor from the other day whose wife had tons of “pregnancy problems”. He totally sold that thing twice. I’m glad the P followed up with a case because it was obvious to me that he was trying to take advantage of someone he thought he could.
  5. My pet peeve of the day (besides Steve Harvey - there's nobody in the world who loves him as much as he loves himself) - On fast money, when they determine that Steve has flubbed the question and they get a little longer than the buzzer....they just let the person sit there and think. You should get a second more and if y ou still can't think of something...bzzzz! Steve barely - barely - flubbed the question and then she got seconds more after the buzzer to give an answer. They wouldn't have won the money without that answer...and answer she shouldn't have had counted.
  6. Damn - watched this last night. My husband is not into gymnastics or documentaries but he watched this one. He just kept saying -- I would kill the guy. I remember watching the selection live for the 16 games and I couldn't understand why they had skipped over Nichols. It would be interesting to listen to the talking heads (now) from when she didn't come out as a team member. Given particularly what her parents said about suddenly not having seats saved or any perks, I am completely certain that she was punished for daring to question USAG's "methods". I'm so very happy for her that she's at least gotten a free education from gymnastics, though sad for her that she wasn't able to redefend her title. So infuriating that nobody stood up for these children. Everyone seemed to be protecting their own ass and own bank accounts. So shameful.
  7. Wow - I’m actually surprised by this. I know that I will be watching on Friday with some anxiety related to what we could see.
  8. I was talking to my sister about this. I think the showrunners and A&E are totally bummed. Maybe I watched too much unReal, but I think they'd be rubbing their hands in glee over the ratings. I do think it would have been awful for the departments and the hosts, however.
  9. Preach. As D was talking, I’m wondering why MM isn’t stopping her and being like...you had those kids, you chose to invite some stranger into your home with 3 kids! She would follow up with some stuff that tells me she’s not being honest - I stay with my mom sometimes to spend the night with the kids (I thought the reason you had to have a roommate was the 3 kids that lived there), then ‘I called the cops about a window but...oops, the door was unlocked.” (You seriously didn’t try the doorknob before calling the cops about a window you didn’t really know was open or not?). If you’re inviting a nutty stranger into your house, you don’t get to complain about needing to safeguard your stuff (put a better lock on the door). I also don’t think you can say the lunatic canNOT have a lock on hers. I have an idea...get a smaller apartment that you can afford.
  10. I agree with this. P was a young shit; D was an older shit, given the video we saw. And it wasn't as if the driver was driving slowly to be careful, she was stopped in the middle of the roadway to pick someone up and didn't even move over to pick her up until the pearl-clutching rev of an engine took place. I think the driver was inconsiderate to begin with but there were better ways to deal with it (that hopefully the P will learn in time). I think he got less than he should have and I feel like often, JJ just ignores the young Ps because of the whole 'they're lying if their lips are moving!'.
  11. Seriously - when the mom said it and even after that daughter said it was ok, I just felt like they should not have included that in broadcast. A bridge too far...and I think mom would have won anyways. And even if she didn't, the cost of a used mountain bike would have been worth not exploiting your daughter. Regarding the taxi guy and the gold digger, I thought he should have at least gotten the original $1200 back. The D was reprehensible.
  12. Crazy timing - it was in the background last night with the guy with the gun in his sweatpants. Also - the West Baton Rouge office with glasses is in serious need of a vacation, a hug, or a Xanax - or all 3. He goes off in an instant - it actually made me laugh when he was like 'don't even look at me! you lied to me!' - like an emotional 14 year old girl.
  13. The 17 year old drag racer...loved the mother. Wanted her handcuffed, stuffed in the cruiser, and scared shitless. 😂😂
  14. I just don't think the Night Angel is all that. Turtle is the best left and I've never really been wowed by the Frog. I get that he's a good performer (singer+dancer) but the singing is just ok for me.
  15. I agree with all of this. I believe the showoff plaintiff should have gotten - AT MOST - half back. I did not love the verdict and do not love the streeeetching of cases to get a higher episode count.
  16. Agree. But I think she’s doing messed up stuff because she’s really fucked up right now. She’s not thinking clearly about anything.
  17. I cried a lot, so much that I had to watch it in spurts because my kids (they’re 6) were like “mommy, why are you crying?” I heard the first notes of “goodnight my angel” and said “no,no,no” because I knew I was about to lose it. For me, the weird Al song that has taken over its original is Amish Paradise. It’s brilliant.
  18. 1. $$$ 2. Lack of content for when this is over (see #1 above). I didn't know this was what the show was going to be because I'd have skipped it.
  19. Man. Again I’m left wondering if I’m listening to the same show as the judges. The night angel, roo, and astronaut sounded awful to my ears. The astronaut was almost cringey.
  20. I've never thought the Rhino or Astronaut were ANY good at singing but they tongue bathe them both.
  21. I am SO GLAD that we got to the end (presumably) of the Benny plot this season. I was terrified it was going to be a “Beckett’s Mom” 5+ season fiasco. I felt so bad for Grey that Dex couldn’t even be bothered to see him in the hospital. I thought Ansel was talking to Dex on the phone and saying he missed her because she’d been arrested and pretty absent while obsessively investigating the Benny case. I hope it comes back but most everything I like doesn’t...(I will never get over the cancellation of The Grinder).
  22. Honestly, the whole episode was made better for me by the ending of Sandra rewatching Carol get electrocuted over and over again.
  23. This. I agree - that is what the paperwork said. Regardless, Judy’s point was basically (i think) that the judge’s order was mathematically figured out for until she was 18. If he flipped the script (which he did, by going on disability), that agreement was done. Fathers like these....it drives me crazy when the non custodial parent thinks that because a mathematical figure is determined, it means they are paying what they SHOULD pay for their child. So many of these orders cover a small fraction of what it really takes to raise a kid. Sorry...I grew up as one of those kids whose father wanted to NOT support us. Makes you feel super loved.
  24. Also, Hannah’s girl power couch speech was so memorized.
