S05.E21: Reunion Part 2

I wish I was looking forward to this but I am not. Will record so I can fast forward. I detest the skank and the junkie. I dont want to watch Kyle cry-whine. And as of last night I am DONE with Satan Andy. I tuned into that train wreck of his last night, WWHL because he miraculously snagged Slattery and Moss from Mad Men and I will suffer Andy for that. But idiot just makes up stupid ass games and wastes awesome guests. What a moron. No wonder he loves the tramp. Similar brain power. -

I think getting drunk os pretty much a right of passage. Of course no one should ever, ever drive in that state it still certainly does not an alcoholic make. I drank on college. Most weekend in Fact. I rarely drink now. An occasional Margaritas with Mexican food or a glass os wine with a nice dinner out. But its rare because it just isn't a priority. I drank more in college because well everyone did and back then I guess that mattered. I really dont think what happened with Bella means much. -
I already posted on the new series thread about the add they ran during the Finale. The radio announcer is discussing a new, strange virus in 6 states and how you should stay home if you are sick. So my question there was if only the dead are reanimating, why are they telling someone to stay home? Not a lot of Walkers show up at their desks in the morning. Of course since that show is supposed to show the "origins" of the ZA, it doesn't track with the virus mutating now to attack the still living. Unless it's just another example of the shows lack of continuity, like how the zombies in Season 1 did seem to retain some sort of "homing" instinct, a la Morgan's wife and knew enough to turn a doorknob. Now they can't do anything like that.

Well they have certainly lived up to the name.

The AMC Spinoff 'Fear The Walking Dead': News and Speculation
chlban replied to mandolin's topic in Fear The Walking Dead
Considering the percentages of recent deaths at the hands of TWD, I would say our gang should re assess that POV. Beth is the only recent one that wasn't killed by a Walker, she went via suicide by manicure scissors. Idiot. Um, I mean RIP, Beth. Edited to clarify it was Beth I was calling an idiot, never any poster here because this really is an awesome forum and surprisingly fun, considering the subject matter of the show! -
S05.E20: Reunion Part 1

Because she is a disgusting piece of trash and no one needs to slut shame her because she proudly does it herself? "I did too sleep with that boy I just met". She was ballistic when all Lisa said is that he SAID he didn't sleep with Brandi. Even he has the good sense to be embarrassed, but not Brandi. If Eddie and LeAnn get sloppy drunk on a regular basis behind close doors, they are still one up on Brandi, who doesn't even have the good sense to keep it behind closed doors. -

But it only matters if it happens to Brandi. With all the recent Camille conversations, I was thinking about the whole scorned woman scenario Brandi can't let go of. What about Camille? Not only did Kelsey cheat on her, and leave her for another woman, he got said woman pregnant. To add insult to injury he did this after Camille had already signed up for this show, making the humiliation all that much more public. Yet whatever other faults she has, Camille doesn't seem to plan to define herself for the rest of her life as the scorned woman and defender of faithfulness. So many of us were set and ready to support Brandi when she started this show largely because she was a scorned woman. Let's face it, how many of us would have had any idea who she was without the public affair and scandal with Eddie and Leann? Yet she has managed to burn every ounce of that goodwill by acting like the trashy skank that she is. I know I have never liked Leann, but at this point she looks like June Cleaver next to Brandi. I feel so bad for those poor boys. I cannot imagine how embarrassed they must be by the weekly antics of their trashy mother. I am sure they love her, she is their mother, but how humiliating it must be for them. Brandi could actually take a few lessons from Camille. But then Brandi could take lessons from almost anyone and it would have to be an improvement. Including Leann, and I bet that really burns. -

Because Season 1 Camille was just really full of herself, much like Heather from OC in my opinion. Camille has definitely been humbled thought, and has certainly seemed like a better person. Although her taste in men doesn't appear to have improved much. Still, yes to all I will take pretty much anyone over the two losers at this point. -

Good lord yes. Did she forget to put a dress over her Spanx? And that face. OMG. I remember thinking she was very pretty when she started this show. Now, her face looks deformed. And she is calling Lisa R Anorexic? Pot, kettle and all that. But yes to the hair except she still needed her roots done. I freakin hate roots and hers are just never right. However, at least she lost those awful extensions. -

I have never been a big Yo fan, although I adore her fridge, but I have to say (again) that I am 100% convinced that all of Yo's blathering about seeing the good in Brandi is total BS. Yo isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but she ain't that dumb. I would be good money that Yolanda has shared something with Brandi that she knows she shouldn't have. Not saying it's totally awful, but everyone has something they would rather not have made public and I bet she made the big mistake of trusting her "friend". Now, she knows the real Brandi and she is smart enough not to cross her. I don't, for one second, think there is a real relationship there. -

But I loved Lisa's reaction. She just got that something smells in here look and told her she was disgusting. THAT is what they should really all do with Brandi. Don't engage her. Just scrunch up your face, shake your head and ignore her. The disgusting skank will go absolutely crazy. Well, crazier. Does Kim even hear herself? She is too proud to do a depends commercial, but she is doing Sharknado? Diving with the Stars (WTF was that, glad I missed it). Yeah Kim, you are a star. You just keep taking all those roles away from Meryl Streep. -

I have always been, at best, meh on Kyle, but for a few minutes last night, I wanted to marry her. Thank you for throwing the tampon incident out there. Great comeback Brandi. As if the fact that you are still getting your period, and congrats on that major accomplishment, is the ONLY reason that happened and not that you are a disgusting piece of trash. -
Season 5 Reunion Spoilers, Previews, Gossip, Etc.

I think you are correct in that BRAVO won't likely fire Brandi yet. For one thing, I think the second Brandi is fired the world will know about it. It's Brandi after all. I see some major differences with the Brandi/Porsha deal, although I have never been a Porsha fan. However, Kenya was, and is, probably more hated than Porsha. Porsha is an idiot and a disgrace to her family's legacy (Underground railroad, indeed. Moron), but she did not seem to draw the same level of hate as Kenya or Brandi. Plus, many people thought Porsha was baited by Kenya and that's the reason she blew.. I disagree with that personally but it was a popular viewpoint. At any rate, as stupid as she is, I don't think there is anywhere near the level of hate that there is for Brandi. I think Gretchen is a better comparison in that she ultimately alienated all the other women, but even Gretchen did not engender the hatred that Brandi has. A lot of viewers hated Camille, but the other women seemed mostly fine with her. Brandi is hated by the viewers and now all the other ladies. The addict still likes her, but who cares about her? What are they going to do, just have Kim high and Brandi vile and mean for another entire season? I really don't think so. Tamara is a bitch but, as stated above, she is smart enough to keep Vicki and Heather basically on her side. They get frustrated with her, but they still seem to like her. Brandi? Not so much. Everyone hates her skank ass. I really think Brandi will be fired. She will either lie and say she quit, or make a huge public "victim" display, but either way, I have no doubt we will know as soon as it happens. Anyone want to take bets on how long it takes Brandi to stop answering Kim's calls once she is canned? -
Yeah, I just can't get on board with all the Kathryn Love. Not that I don't see what a dickhead Thomas is, but you make your bed and all that. At least be grateful for that beautiful child and the fact that, unlike millions of single mothers, you will not have to worry about a roof over her head. At least Thomas is good for that. I just find her dour, and quite spoiled. Some of it may be immaturity too, but really. Did anyone honestly think that relationship had a snowball's chance? So just put on your big girl pants and do what's right for your daughter. Don't bad mouth daddy, don't make her choose, act like the Southern Lady you want to be and live up to your family name. I love Shep. I love that he uses terms like Non-Sequitur because he really is more than just a rich beach bum. As an avid viewer of Vanderpump Rules, I couldn't help but think to myself "there's a term you would never, ever hear on VP". If Jax heard it he would probably think it's a sex act. That's part of the Charm of this show, pun intended. They are mostly chuckleheads, just like on VP. but they are so much classier and more educated chuckleheads.

This. Considering how much cheating we have all seen, even if it's only in the news, I don't think anyone would believe that cheating on your spouse=Child killer. I mean, really? Bill Clinton, JFK, Brad Pitt, all potential child killers? That is so beyond absurd it doesn't warrant comment, much less and entire episode.

I just watched the show having recorded it on Sunday. I had to ask myself several times WTF? I have started so many shows in the last year only to be totally disappointed by them. This, sadly, still isn't the worst, but it's bad. Still, I think I am kind of where you are, but I would respectfully recommend recording it to watch later. Trust me that fast forward feature works and you will still understand it a much as if you suffer through the whole hours. I've tried it both ways.

The AMC Spinoff 'Fear The Walking Dead': News and Speculation
chlban replied to mandolin's topic in Fear The Walking Dead
All good points. I guess it's just personal preference, but I think seeing the origins and the fall of civilization is a fascinating concept. However, considering the writing on TWD, I cannot say I am terribly optimistic, but more than willing to give it a chance. No Mad Men ever after May and no TWD until Fall, it's going to be a long summer, so I suspect I will be ready to take a look by "late summer". -
She lost me with that ridiculous "would you do this for anyone or just me?" crap, like she was 15 and asking about him holding the door open for her. Up until then I couldn't give two flying figs about her and Rick ending up together since I don't much care for him and I don't Ship. Well, OK, maybe a little for Daryl and Aaron.

Oh my, a Southern Mom and numerous southern aunts here. I thought Potatoes were a vegetable throughout my childhood. Seriously!

Considering the way they have moved this great romance, I'm kind of surprised they haven't, but the writers probably thought it was important to wait a respectable amount of time. What does Emily Post say about banging the guy that just shot your husband? I'm guessing they'll get to it in the Season Premiere. Having seen the collective brain power of her two offspring, I am back to thinking the CDB looked like good breeding stock.

I don't know why but the comment about the crown falling out made me laugh. Somehow I doubt that would constitute an emergency in the ZA, but I've never lost one. Does it hurt or is it just that it's not cosmetically pleasing? Fact is, I would no doubt take the cowards way out early into the ZA. Hopefully after finding out about the brain deal, but I just could not. I hate camping. I have never, even as a young child, understood the point. Of course, we had a nice comfortable home with beds, toilets, showers etc., but the whole "roughing it" thing. Not for me. As for Glen being bitten, I don't think so. They already went that route with Bob and I don't think they would try the unknown, unseen bite again, especially not so soon. Besides, surely even Glen would have killed the douche if that had happened. I think it was just another example of Glen's amazing ability to survive. Just like Rick. They are invincible. Shot and then a zombie pile on, while wounded? No problem, it's Glen.

The AMC Spinoff 'Fear The Walking Dead': News and Speculation
chlban replied to mandolin's topic in Fear The Walking Dead
So, in the first commercial for this new show, we hear a radio announcer discussing a wierd "virus" that has appeared in 6 states so if you are not feeling well stay home today. Not much of a first look, but probably because I have always been interested in the origins of the world we see on WD, I have already analyzed it to death (no pun intended), and here is where I am confused. If they are playing this as a virus, a la "I am Legend" then it's a virus that attacks not only the dead but the living. Because the radio announcer is telling people to stay home and I am quite certain that, no matter how dedicated an employee you are, you are not still going into work after you have died. So the implication is that people being infected are still alive. This, of course, answers one of my biggest questions regarding how there would be so many reanimated corpses since, as a general rule, dead people are buried fairly quickly. But the big question it would bring is, if it infects the living, why is it that our group has not encountered this? The only people that have turned died first.. If it's an airborne virus of some type that turns living people into zombies, then certainly someone in our group or at the very least one of the groups they came into contact with, would have been infected and turned without dying first? I am probably missing something, but it seems to me if they are going this route, then they will have some splainin' to do on the original Walking Dead, no?
