  1. Funny since I'm seeing links to Laurel fans on tumblr hating this BC story because it's destroying the Laurel character that they loved. So, they're losing fans on one side even while possibly gaining fans in the middle.
  2. In retrospect, I have no doubt that Laurel using Sara's voice was what MG meant when he claimed fans would love it. There would be no other reason for that comment, a modulator has been used by Arrow and Canary already so it's not some cool new effect and from what I understand her normal modulator wasn't anything special.
  3. I love that review, pity it didn't come out sooner. Yes, please.
  4. when a show goes to crap, you can always count on the snark to get you through.
  5. I was so happy to see his name in the credits. ..poor Billy being tortured like that.
  6. I think the whole point was to get rid of the sheep lover so silver could take his position on the ship?
  7. Actually, she was and the EPs knew it, hence the immediate promise (right after the finale) of a new Laurel in S2.
  8. Billy! Max needs to stop because I'm really not liking the shit she's pulling with Ann. Rackham had a perfectly agreeable offer that benefits all of them. If she continues her power play, I want it to fail miserably. I hate Ned Lowe, not in a love to hate him sort of way, I straight up hate this guy. I hope Vane destroys him. Loved everything with Flint and Silver. Flint is a BAMF. Cold, calculating and and made of pure steel. Great episode.
  9. from my search of the internet, that's exactly what it is.
  10. Just for fun, the relaunch in September 2011 #1 sold about 55k issues (JT Krull as writer). Krull's last issue appears to be #3 (?) which was at 42k. Keith Giffen took over with #4 which sold 33k units (guess that's why they dumped Krull). His last title was #6 at 27k units. Ann Nocenti took over with #7 (again, WTF?) at 26k units, her run lasted until #16 which ended at 19.8k units in January 2013. Lemiere took over in February 2013 #17 and based on his reputation the title shot back up to 36k. His fantastic run ended with #34 (excluding the Futures End Tie In) at 22.9k units. If anything, I think the more accurate argument is that bringing in AJK didn't save the title, like DC (probably) hoped it would not, that it backfired and is driving fans away. Of course we have no idea what the digital sales figures look like, those could be good or bad. Also, given AJK's repuas writing one of the worst GA titles (GA/BC) I can't say i'm surprised, most complaints about the new creative team centered around his history with the character.
  11. Arrow is such and original and unpredictable show....said no one eva! LOLIt's actually kind of sad, they basically go for the most simplistic, overused soapy, comicbook-y, tropy storylines every time.
  12. How is it that they never learn with Juliette?! I really don't like the whole Hexenbeist Juliette but if you're going to do this story then do it. Don't drag it out...oh you need to talk to my friend who you won't actually meet until the last minute of the episode because drama! Oh and yay, more secrets and lies... Other then that this was ok, it's actually fun having Wu in on the Wesson stuff, his reactions are entertaining. I also liked the bit with the ear piercing. I'm actually really curious about Renard...what's going on, is Mommy's magic back firing? Is Adiland messing with them? Miracle Baby Shenanigans?
  13. oh I must have missed your post, sorry. I was channeling my inner Danny Franks trying to come up with something so dumb they'd never do it. Now I'm actually worried it might happen. If it does, it certainly explains why MG will have to get off Twitter.
  14. Just looked Oleson co-wrote 310 an 314 with MG. 311 was Wendy Mericle & Ben Sokolowski
  15. Wow, that's weird. You'd think they'd have the 311 writer on to talk about 311 right before 311 aired :)
  16. OK I'm totally out of the show and trying to get out of Fandom but I wanted to drop this off because why should Danny Franks have all the fun. I was thinking about the 3rd Party (not Ray) and "I don't want to be a woman you love" line. I think it plays out like this. Oliver doesn't want Laurel as BC, Felicity stands up for Laurel. Oliver says something like I don't want to see another woman I love dead on that table. Big argument ensues words back and forth. It ends with Felicity saying "if that's what you think of" or "if that's how you treat the women you love" then "I don't want to be a woman you love". Now Laurel and Felicity can be BFFs in 13 and bond over stupid Oliver and their lives their choices. Felicity can run off to Ray because he treats her better (bullshit, I know, but not with this show) and Oliver gets manpain!
  17. I honestly don't know. I heard it was Oleson and I figured if they had any writer on that night it would be the one who wrote the episode they were promoting.
  18. That was Jasper, it's his house.I really liked this episode, I enjoyed Richie quite a bit, it's been so long since we last saw him. I grew so attached I was really worried he was going to stay in that other world. I know the chances of a S2 are slim to none but I hated the idea that they'd kill off a really interesting supporting character. For all of the creepiness in the episode the creepiest thing was (IMO) the image of Lily sitting there like a doll or marionette with broken strings.
  19. I haven't read many but of the ones I did read most (all?) Hated that Laurel pretended to be Sara to fool Lance. Most praised Roy and Brick. I didn't see any out right praise for Laurel. I saw one that said Laurel/Roy all dressed up were visually pleasing (something like that). So, I would say most reviews reduce to good episode because of Roy and Brick. The Sara/Laurel bits were horrible and a few liked Ray/Felicity banter.
  20. you're misreading it. they didn't report the Top 25 from last week and they don't have any of the other demos. the households were down but only slightly.
  21. I'm actually surprised he did it, I thought for sure he would back down and continue with the show. Good for him, shows integrity, not many will stand by their word.
  22. did I hear right? Laurel went toe to toe with Brick and did better then Diggle did last week? Also, Roy/Dig shot Brick with Arrows and he Pulls a Black Night (Tis but a scratch) but Laurel manages to clock him good?
